Keep it up Eric I love the shorts! Hope you can start putting out long form content again one day been watching you since like 2015 and you’re one of the best people and creators on this platform!
I fill mine through the dip stick .I've snapped the fill port on a car trying to remove it was to rusted.so I just use a long transmission funnel and fill it
Are you still planning to add the supercharger? Would be interesting to see how you approach tuning. Theres another UA-camr thats done it, but the piggyback tuner they use is no longer manufactured, and as far as I know, there's no solution for tuning the stock ECU in these first gen pilots.
An actual 1/4 turn would be from completely vertical to your handle being completely horizontal- which is quite a long ways. You only turned it about an 1/8th or even a 1/10th of a turn.. which is all you need.
Question about the transmission filter ? I know these have it cause the accords did its on top of the transmission but shouldn't that be changed too . Not many talk about that on these
You might should mention draining the fluid from a Honda only removes about 1/3 of the fluid at any time. I don’t know why but that’s how Honda designed it. Must be the way to do it.
You're supposed to get it to temperature, turn off the engine, and measure immediately. I don't know if it's for mechanical or liability reasons but that's always been the procedure for Hondas I've found.
Check transmission fluid? Sweet Jesus. I've been driving my car for 10 years and never thought to check it. Paid someone to change the fluid once. But check it?
I'm having a strange issue with a 2007 Honda pilot with the door locks the lock unlock switches don't do anything if you manually lock the doors, the key fob will unlock the driver door, but that's it
Brother are you back? First video to pop up for my feed in a while!
I'm working on it.
This is a man who knows to buy a well made vehicle and take care of it and it will treat you right.
Good to see you posting.

Great to see your videos again eric. Have been watching for over 11-13 years.
Dude thats is prolly the cleanest honda iv seen
Been a while sir !
A drain and fill every 20k - 30k is good for them.
Can you do a video on replacing transmission filter on 2009-2015 Honda pilot 🙏

Do you ever recommend replacing the transmission fluid filter? It's not listed as a service item, but I don't know how difficult or easy it is to do
Not unless there is an issue with debris in the fluid. Changing the fluid about every 30K is all you really need to do.
@@ericthecarguy thank you sir! Glad to see you putting out more content btw.
No need!

Does the Honda go bump
Timing belt broke on my 07 last week shortly after changing the kit for Honda OEM?? Hopefully can find an engine cheap enough I love that thing
You can check it while it’s running or off yes?
No
@@2005Pilot Honda and Acura you can check while off

The filter should be lifetime, but if there is ever an issue with debris in the fluid, change it.

That’s how pretty much all automatic transmissions with a torque converter are.
With Honda's, don't you check the transmission fluid level with it running?
You're supposed to get it to temperature, turn off the engine, and measure immediately. I don't know if it's for mechanical or liability reasons but that's always been the procedure for Hondas I've found.
Never. Engine at operating temperature off and on a level surface.
The owners manual will tell you exactly how to check. Honda makes a pretty great owners manuals for their vehicles.
now if i could actually get my daughter to check her fluid on transmission of 2007 honda civic
The transmission fluid was still red, not even burned. Looks like the Pilot will rust to death before the powertrain fails.

Working on Honda Pilots is a nighmare.
? It’s one of the easiest vehicles I’ve ever worked on. It’s designed to be easy to maintain.
Remember to always check Hondas transmission fluid with the vehicle off
