Very cool! I have my M140i now for 6 months. It’s my first RWD car so I’m super careful with it. I have never gone sideways yet. So I want to go to a skid pan soon to Learn how it feel when it goes. Cheers!
Yeah it's better to learn in a controlled environment, the car can be very dangerous on public roads. Make sure you get an LSD which will help with the skids.
Reminds me of myself at my first ever drift day - turned up in an E92 M3 when everyone else was in knackered old E36s and MX5s and felt very out of place haha maybe you'll get as addicted as I did and end up spending all of your time and money on drift cars lol Anyway, you're doing well considering its an auto and no handbrake. Having a clutch pedal and using the handbrake makes life a lot easier. The main thing I can see that you could improve is counter steering earlier/faster when the car starts to transition back (and staying on throttle a bit more) but its very normal to not get that right when you're starting out. I see myself getting that wrong in all of my old footage. A bit more seat time and you'll get used to what the car will do and can start to predict it. Keep it up
Cheers bro !! I had the same thing, everyone was looking at me like "where is your drift car ?!?!" I need to get more refined with throttle and steering inputs. If everything goes as planned I should be going again this month. Love driving either fast or sideways.

@@cockpitdriver9972 Good choice of diff 👍 Probably easier to control but the ZF8 is a sublime box. I'm from NW Scotland so my daily commute isn't wearing but totally understand where you're coming from in that sense. Keep up the videos 👍
Three Sisters Circuit. If you get a diff, it's good fun to have a go as you can explore the car's capabilities without being concerned about police :))
Hey man! Nice vid. By the way your wheel moves it looks like you got the "variable sport steering" on the car. Would you mind confirming and giving me your thoughts about the shortened steering ratio? As a keen drifter i myself am wondering if i should sell my M135 because of it. :/
Bro I just put the car in Sport+, turn TCS off and then manual gearbox. Don't know much details about steering ratio. The only thing I would change is the throttle response to be more sharp in order to help at initiating the slides as I can't use handbrake 😆
Yes fully off. You can't drift it with MDM mode as it will cut the power off when you don't need it. I've practiced in video games before using my car in real :D Much practice and then try in a safe environment
They have it listed on their calendar but it doesn't happen very often. Keep an eye on their website or maybe give them a ring to find out the upcoming dates
@@cockpitdriver9972 Hi. I'm going for an lsd on mine as well. Can I ask why you went for the m performance rather than quaife or wavetec? Is the m performance diff noisy at all?
@@andrewdouglas1963 Hello ! I still have my car under warranty and I thought this is helping me keep that. Nobody was available at that time but I think they have drifting lessons in some Nissans 350z. I've just practiced in some games before going there. I want to learn how to slide my own car :D
