    To everybody commenting about the $200 dollar kobe beef steak being too much. I understand but as somebody who has tried it it in Japan it is a must try in your life. Don't look at the price point, value the experience that you will never have again. Trust me.

      I'm an American, now 40, but lived in Kobe from age 11 to age 14. I think I got to try the good stuff a grand total of 1 time while living there when my dad took me to a company event where it was being served, but I had the cheaper (like 20 dollar) Kobe beef multiple times just eating with my family or friends.
      It's all good, you really don't have to pay for the most expensive stuff, that's just a status symbol/showing off. Just enjoy whatever beef is in your price range/accessible to you. ;)

      Well the quality of the beef is expressed the best when it is rare/medium rare as well the texture and flavor. This is why you see the kobe beef being served how it is. You can never appreciate or experience the quality of the beef if it's well done, no matter how expensive the steak.

    Dude thank you, as an ex meat clerk here in the US this really taught me a lot. I go to restaurants sometimes and see things like "kobe burger" on the menu and I think to myself "I'm not exactly sure what kobe is, but I doubt it is real kobe." Now I know more precisely what it is and can seem smarter in front friends and family :P

    i Have a friend in japan who took me out to THE most ( he empasied, on THE) respectet Kobe farmer, and the farmeres keep the very best meat to them selves and boi never have i been so lucky, we where on a good wavelength and spoke for hours and i even got to meet some of his cows and rub them with beer for fun. so to blow my mind even more he showed us he secret stach of meat to him self and guest who he liked. Cant describe how good the meat tasted, but ever since i have tried to find meat with just 1/10 of the fat in and still cant even get close to the umami experience, mushrooms and aromat cant help it has to be natural fat marbled in side the meat else it cant taste just that great. So im really noxious since the farmer is actually going to come here where i live next month, and i dont know what hell im gonna do... give him a good old danish dish or something ( juicy porkshoulder with crispy skin and caramelized potatoes with brown souce ( as danish it gets) ) or go with duck parpared the danish way or even serve Greenlandic salmon and tuna from my last fishing trip.
    all this and i dont know what to serve him that can come close to the experience i had with him in his home.

    Kobe and Matsuzaka beef are some of the most amazing things in the world to eat. My favorite is at a yakiniku restaurant where you can cook it yourself on a charcoal grill right at your table so every piece is fresh off the grill. It's so tender that you could cut it with a fork, though chopsticks are better because it's part of the experience.

      Noizic You can't really tell if a comment is a joke unless someone says it in real life, also if this is a joke it's a really bad one. The purpose of veganism is to reduce the amount of suffering as much as possible and making a joke out of the damage eating meat does is bad. Animal agriculture is the number 1 cause of global warming. We're using up water and grains just to feed the cows when we could use those resources for the people, meaning we could have more food if we didn't give it to the cattle just to eat some meat, lastly eating meat is linked to higher mortality rates. Simply put eating meat is a taste pleasure, convenience and tradition. There's no other valid reasons.

      Beef - The fattier the better

      @Anonymous9259 7 років тому

      alphahunterd He said that the Chateaubriand($200) was better than the sirloin($100) even though the sirloin was fattier. cuz the chat was tender enough without the beef fat. made it taste meaty but just as tender if not more

    • @aclock2
      @aclock2 7 років тому

      Not the disgusting fat that smells like vomit you can find everywhere. It's the buttery smell flavorful kind of fat, you cant go wrong with butter.

    • @alphahunterd
      @alphahunterd 7 років тому

      Ah ok. So it depends on the ratio of fat to meat. Sounds good.

      You put the “$” in the wrong place. It goes before the numbers not after. E.g. $2 and $2000

    Sure you can get a large portion of "regular" beef for the same price, but a small amount of Kobe will leave you feeling full because of the richness. 😁👍

    • @RevolutionV12
      @RevolutionV12 7 років тому +14

      Makistoys who eats 200 dollar steak to feel full, at that price point its about the experience and taste, not feeling full (unfortunately).

    • @makistoysdiyscraftsandmore1115
      @makistoysdiyscraftsandmore1115 7 років тому +7

      Revolution I was talking about how some people want quantity over quality. But a $200 steak will make you full, not from the quantity but the sheer richness.
