Yeah that's why he ate light today LOL. All of the stops today looked delicious. That sushi place was a great place for beginners to experiment. I may get some tomorrow.
It’s really cool to watch how Mikey’s palate has changed since I started watching 6 years ago. I remember when he wouldn’t touch sushi 🍣 now he loves it
Sushi is one of those things you have to get past the "eww" factor for many people. They love the flavors, just don't connect them. Most people expect a "fishmarket" smell until you get them in the chair. :) Once you get past the preconceived notions about what it is. "you EAT that?!?"
I also remember when he did not drink coffee and only choose tea, milk tea, or other flavored drink. Now he drink some coffee. What a food explore experiencing new things, He did come so far
Peoples opinions change when their experiences grow. Off topic but its something people that have never been out of state/country need to learn in general
Quick tip. ‘Shabu’ in Japanese is a slang for meth. Using the full term ‘Shabu-shabu’ which is the name of the dish, should keep you away for being misunderstood.
That tempura made me want to get up and cook so I could have some. The Udon noodles, especially the wide ones, just looked perfect. Great video as always Mike! 😊
Thanks Mike it's really nice to relax, unwind and enjoy one of your videos after a stressful day at work. I hope you are extremely successful and one day I can tell people "I used to watch that dude on UA-cam for years before he blew up".
Ugh, can't afford plane ticket to Japan right now! But oh, would I welcome a chance to return and try all these places out and then some (I've not forgotten about Jinbocho, Mike!)!
Is that dashi broth in the pot? if so then I know how to cook my A5 wagyu thin sliced that I bought from costco a year ago lol I have a package of thin sliced A5 in my freezer and haven't been able to figure out how to cook it.
The wagyu beef stayed in the hot broth way too long. It’s way tastier if you take it out of hot broth within 5 seconds while it’s still pink and let it sit for another 3 seconds. The carryover heat will cook the wagyu slices to medium rare!
The lady in the background 16:22
So daintily civilized
Mikey Chen
So tyrannosaurusly efficient.

Still can’t eat it properly though 😂
Remember when Mikey couldn’t stand raw fish?! He’s come so far!!
I also remember when he did not drink coffee and only choose tea, milk tea, or other flavored drink. Now he drink some coffee. What a food explore experiencing new things, He did come so far
thanks to john his friend from japan
Now what about broccoli 😅 He may still dislike it 😃

Every time you wear a cape cod shirt it makes me smile. Representing my home. Been loving your content for years. Keep it coming
Definitely visiting the sushi and hotpot places the next time I'm in Japan. Especially that hotpot place 😋
Sushi standing bar also available in Shibuya and Shimbashi. My favorite for 12 years!
Love that you are open to eating sushi now!
Amazing
Hey Mikey, there's several instances of flickering and flashes that you should consider fixing. 7:20, 7:32, 7:50, 8:12, 8:21, 15:43, 16:35, and 18:24.
That sushi looks so yummy ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I’m hungry 😢😢😢
another wagyu beef and hotpot video
I've been watching since 40k, and although not as long as some people but I love to see how far Mike has come ❤️
Yum... Looks so good...
Reminder to myself...
Never watch your videos at night while I can not sleep. Now I need to get up to get something to eat...
Yumm-thank-fULL! 😋
I remember you didn’t like sushi before! Been following you since 2018 😊
I love watching your videos 😀
Quick tip. ‘Shabu’ in Japanese is a slang for meth. Using the full term ‘Shabu-shabu’ which is the name of the dish, should keep you away for being misunderstood.
a lot of people have commented that on his older videos but he doesn't care it seems.
@@jade5202You’d think he should if it’s the slang for a dangerous illegal drug. 🤦🏻♀️
I think him saying only shabu in a shabu shabu restaurant is fine you would have to completely disregard context to think he was talking about meth
Those "red mushrooms" that you had at the Wagyu place look like pink oyster mushrooms. They're really meaty and have a slight seafood taste to them!
I really thought they were pink chanterelle? But now I'm not sure 😂
Awesome Vid the Queen Highlander reference awesome!!
That tempura made me want to get up and cook so I could have some. The Udon noodles, especially the wide ones, just looked perfect. Great video as always Mike! 😊

Yummmmmy 😋 to my Tummy. Looks good. I would like to experience this. Enjoy.. ❤️😋🐞
This video is ace and my mouth is watering however you get 10 points for mentioning Highlander song. RAWK.
Dipping sauce fact, the yuzu you called is called ponzu that has soy sauce and yuzu in it.
Always the best
That's my bucket list to taste it.
Mike, I have not heard the highlander song in a very long time😂 now I must find the show.
That beef looks clean 👌 😋 😍

So many great things on the menu. 👍👍👍

Japanese food is amazing ❤and they don’t lie to you visually like here it’s a picture but when you eat it’s not the same you saw 😅
Great video! Stay hungry my friend!
Yesssss 🙌🙌🙌 feels like you haven't posted in a million years
The editing is very offputting in this episode and that is heartbreaking because everything else is amazing 😭😭
i have been watching Mikey since before he started this channel. I am so glad it has worked out for him and he can do this for a living.
Ty for the highlander the series reference 🙂🙃
yay a wahgoo weedeho 😂
I can’t believe I have been watching this channel for five years
Happy that you came to like sushi/sashimi. Now we get to see vlogs from your channel with it.
I want to know where Mike puts all his delicious food. I’d be in a food coma and sleep for days. I’m jealous yes I am.

I fell in love at 2:45.
Yum
Love from Canada! You the best Mike!
Besides Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, any other cities worth visiting? Looking for a couple of places for a day trip while either in Tokyo or Kyoto.
Is the Shabu Shabu price per person or not?
I can’t find the exact video since you’ve been to vegas a lot, but which hike at red rock did you do to see those boulders??
HIIIII IM SUCH A BIG FAN
I'm gonna definitely check that place out when I go to japan 🗾
Thanks Mike it's really nice to relax, unwind and enjoy one of your videos after a stressful day at work. I hope you are extremely successful and one day I can tell people "I used to watch that dude on UA-cam for years before he blew up".
Do you have highly recommended all you can eat Yakiniku in Tokyo?
very nice
Ugh, can't afford plane ticket to Japan right now! But oh, would I welcome a chance to return and try all these places out and then some (I've not forgotten about Jinbocho, Mike!)!
Please come to sendai when you get the chance!
That food looks so good I always crave whatever you are eating
5:23 anyone know what the car parked in white is?
Is that dashi broth in the pot? if so then I know how to cook my A5 wagyu thin sliced that I bought from costco a year ago lol I have a package of thin sliced A5 in my freezer and haven't been able to figure out how to cook it.
I miss dumpling 🥟. When are you going to bring us back to see him?
Eats sushi, ayce wagyu, 2 orders of udon with tempura, bread with grapes....."that's why I ate so light today". LOLLL
I started watching Mickey for a few years now it’s actually a stress reliever
U got me at the Sushi and won me over with the wagyu.
Three Mississippi's and it's done about medium rare. But he went to well done around 7 Mississippi's. To each his own I guess.
Please update playlist specifically Florida 😊
Bro need a haircut 😏
Watching this video in the middle of the night is a crime.
Wow ❤
Hi Mike! Much love from Texas and I want you to know I’m living vicariously through you because all those foods look yummy!
THIS IS UHHHHMAZING. This is the best wagyu video I’ve ever seen. How do you eat so much and still be so thin and healthy.
Look who loves sushi 🍣 now!
Love watching these videos and blaming myself for becoming hungry 😅
J'en veux!!!!!😍
The price for that wagyu hotpot is not bad at all considering a Kobe steak or even A5 steak is around 200 dollars a piece or more
Eu quero Chan
Uau
Parabéns pelos vídeos 👏👏😃😃
Video starts 2:07
02:14 food video starts
you get a like for that highlander reference
The wagyu beef stayed in the hot broth way too long. It’s way tastier if you take it out of hot broth within 5 seconds while it’s still pink and let it sit for another 3 seconds. The carryover heat will cook the wagyu slices to medium rare!
I think I would just dunk it for 1 or 2 seconds!
"Ate so light today"....LOLOL.....😄😄😄
Ugh I wanna go to Japan so bad for the food 😭😭
Awesome video as always 👍👍👍
I grew up (Hawaii) learning sushi was to be eaten with the hand, sashimi and such with chopsticks, and in Hawaii also short skewers.
Love ya, Mikey!
I prefer Udon over Ramen and Soba anyways, dipping Udon are the best x3
So delicious 🙂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!
Whats the name of the wagyu restaurant i wanna visit on my trip this month?
