Dude your production quality is 10/10, this shit had my dying laughing multiple times. The only possible criticism I could have is that the pacing is a bit fast... but also, it could very well be that I got that boomer brain lol. Per the topic of open world stuff though, I dig your point and I love this topic. I'm not going to pretend it's easy to make a genuinely good open world game, but it's just super disappointing when a new open world game comes along and copies the bad/boring design decisions we've seen time and time and time again. Lookin at you Ubisoft :/
... I stopped playing open world when it somehow merged with mmo-design. you feel alone and empty in a world that feels like an mmo, because surprise: you are playing singleplayer. happend around the 2010s. I got really angry!
Another thing that I think about when it comes to open-worlds is having a protagonist that doesn’t shut up. It takes me out of the “immersion” the game throws
i loved metro exodus silent protagonist, a map that tells you nothing, the maps were fairly small but filled with secrets and quests and fallout 1 and 2 they were filled with content and the main attraction wasn't the open world, it was the story, but the fact that the world was so alive and filled with stuff to do keeps distracting you and it was nice. Witcher 3 also did a good job, it keeps taking you from place to place and tells you to stay in that place and do either the main quest or do the side stuff, once you are done it takes you to the next chapter and it's the same formula, you either do the main quest or walk around see what you can do.
can you post the links to the games in the description? i was having trouble finding out what the game you showed at the beginning was (hero's adventure) because you only flashed it on screen for a second.
gahhh ur so right... i see game after game on steam where theyre just boring. like why do people even play these, ik everyone has their own tastes but,,,, hmm..... also i rlly like ur editing
I like botw a lot and would def use it as a good example. The vibes are unmatched. I know a lot of people hate that island where you lose all your gear but that legit was my favorite part.
I made this video in 3 days and it was the worst thing ever. Going on vacation today tho so that makes up for it
Dont delete it in a week

I appreciate it brother
Thanks to this video, my quest to make the worst open world game is now significantly easier
Morrowind is so big it's insane you should see. And the fact it's so big is bonkers

Wait a minute… did you just shift reality?

Yeah I'm curious what the "RPG" is that is shown briefly at 2:42
@@apeman505that specific one is called grandia. It has a remake on steam but is originally a ps1 game.
I"m impressed by how much more editing you've added to your videos.
Makes me wonder what your secret is.
My secret is lots of coffee, mental illness, and dedication

i felt like i was getting punched in the face for 12 mins with all the punches that were constantly thrown - dps was strong with this one
i wish that I create chanel like yours,
Genre kinda peaked with pokemon go tbh

@@pixaafterdark9915 agreed!
Take that fallout 3 slander back
I’ll take it back just for you
Dawg! You either got to talk way slower, mumble way less, or cram less nonsense into each sentence. All three wouldn't hurt.
Yea I def will next video
