First and foremost, THANK YOU DRS. B & LI, for putting out this video. It takes lots of time and effort to prepare content for producing a video!
THANK YOU BOTH also for mentioning your books,
so that those viewers who want more details regarding the material mentioned in this video
can access it from the books which you both have worked sooooo hard to put together.
THANK YOU FOR PROACTIVELY PROMOTING YOUR WORKS!
YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT AND EVERY NEED TO DO SO!
This is YOUR platform, this is YOUR channel, this is YOUR hard work, this is YOUR message.
So what if there’s money earned at the end from books being bought? So what if there’s endorsement fee at the end?
WHY SHOULDN’T THESE DOCTORS BE ENTITLED TO BE COMPENSATED FOR THEIR TIME & HARD WORK?
Why is it ok for the Big Pharma & Big Food to advertise their shit to every corner of the internet, raking TRILLIONS from you and sending you & your family into the hospitals every year?
    DR. B& DR. LI,
PLEASE PLEASE CONTINUE THE INCREDIBLE WORK YOU ARE DOING!!! There a a huge percentage of you tubers who APPRECIATE SOOOOOO MUCH what you are putting out.
And this huge percentage of us will HELP YOU TO PROMOTE YOUR BOOKS TOO.
    TO US, you are Heaven-Sent!!!!
May you be blessed in every way, health & WEALTH, for the works you are doing!!!!!! the junk food industry and Pharma industry are earning TRILLIONS, selling poison to us.
There is absolutely NO REASON why you should not be well compensated for the works you guy do!!
    T. H. A. N. K. Y. O. U. again, for the bottom of our hearts!!!!!

I've gone from having "IBS" (personally a get out clause I think when no one knows what's going on with you) to getting sicker and sicker. Eventually I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance and heliobacter pylori.
After I ate gluten free and got rid of the terrible organism h pylori is, I got well. I then made it my mission to eat more and more plants. I am now often told that I look younger than I am, that I have loads of energy.... I still want to learn more.
Thanks so much for this... People who are offended by you guys plugging your books are possibly the same people that won't take health advice anyway, your video is fascinating and despite the fact I'm very well read about the microbiome I learnt so much new stuff. I can't wait to catch up with the rest of the series. Keep up the good work.

Using Dr. Li's philosophy to currently fight stage IV cancer, eating pomegranates and lots of
Cruciferous vegetables. Was suppose to be dead by now. Doing chemotherapy and Radiation too and preparing for when and, if possible, taking immune therapy-changing my "right kind " of microbiome pattern with the diet(pomegranates) and exercise, plus the strength and drive of my children. I believe it's working and it's really amazing to see such amazing Doctors such as yourselves . I have bought five copies of Dr. Li's book and given two to my Oncologist and Radiologists my son and daughter a RD with a Master's Degree, and myself so that we are all on board together. Fighting cancer is a full-time operation 24/7 and it's all hands on deck 365 and it's very good to have the assistance and advice of such people as you two too, thank you.

Come on chaps - using the first 15 minutes to indulge in a mutual love in, was a bit frustrating to watch when we're mostly wanting hard facts and information. I get that you have to start with the basics, but there seemed to be a very great number of words about not very much of real use.

Very interesting talk but please remember that we're not here to hear how much you admire each other, or to hear you shamelessly plugging your books. If you forget the reason for the talk (giving us information) you're forgetting that a lot of people will have put time aside from their busy lives to hear the science not the mutual admiration.

So the series is copyrighted "eat to beat disease" which is the name of Dr Li's book. I'm still trying to learn more about Zoe. I thought that Prof Spectre ran it at kings college London. I also know he ran a twins study.
Today's email (no2) offers 10% off your purchase.
This is becoming like lots of other things that I've signed up for that end up just being hooks to get you to buy books, video series etc.
Is this an American thing that Tim works for?
The audience seem full of Brits and we are all here because we signed up to the Zoe symptom study which I'm pretty sure is UK based.

Greetings from the UK. You've both hit the nail on the head. 20yrs ago i became ill. I lost a lot of weight, kept being sick, couldn't keep food down. Went to the Dr who kept looking for Cancer. I told them it wasn't Cancer. It accured everytime I ate. They said they couldn't find anything wrong. Over the past 20yrs I looked at food and how the body works with it. I've now changed my diet drastically and it's worked.

Please please be careful about giving the impression people are able to cure themselves of cancer with the right diet. This is life-changing information. As a food and nutrition science major who started college classes 50 years ago, my classmates, many of whom went on to medical, dental, pharmacy, and nursing schools, think I’m out in left field when I parrot what I read and hear about the gut microbiome’s importance. How do we spread the word to all the practicing health professionals who are still treating patients in ignorance?

It would be better to prepare a presentation with key points rather than this vague, self-congratulatory waffle and plugging of their books -not something appreciated by a British audience! This kind of talk is aimed for an American audience, not a British one, which prefers detailed, evidence-based information not this twaddle. Really quite shocked that educated people feel that this sort of ill prepared rambling is acceptable.

Thanks both doctors for sharing knowledge in this program. A good introduction of the subject. Dr B is the host and many criticism and constructive suggestions expressed in the comments could be managed better by Dr B in his future programs - less self promotion and more content.

Thanks for bringing new emphasis on this very important medical area. I think that there is overwhelming evidence of how important gut bacteria is. Why is it that it has not taken a centre stage in mainstream health care. Also when can we start to get tested for a personalised analysis in the UK. Thanks

What about stress and trauma's impact on the gut microbiome (whether that's psychological or physiological)? Can improving food quality and variety ameliorate the impact of this?

My wife has debilitating bowel issues and in the UK she has had many tests and they just keep saying she's not fitting the criteria to get a diagnosis. How can she get tested to see what needs to be done to help her gut microbiome? In case that is the issue.

To fully personalise a diet you also need a nutrigenomics test done (nutritional DNA test) - our genes are involved in collecting, processing and delivering nutrients. If any of these genes are damaged (none of us have perfect genes) or inefficient then we don’t absorb vitamins and minerals properly. This could explain (as Dr Li mentioned) why some people recover really well from diseases (such as cancer) and others don’t. Maybe the future sessions will discuss this more. Thanks for providing this essential information free of charge.

Interesting learning about enjoying good choices of a diverse diet directly affecting the body microbiome and that the microbiome helps to determine metabolism. The wholistic simbiosis of our body and how the microbiome get to be in the body.
That each person has a variety of different biomes which can be modified to enhance health to fit a person's unique biology and needs. Also to understand what each person really enjoys to eat and look more carefully at the healthy ones - the variety and not the volume. Well done, I thought it was OK.

Knowledge Translation (KT) is key to making a difference to underserved and low income families . A simple approach is to encourage and create access to high fiber, nutritious food to allow an intake of roughly 30 grams of fiber daily from diverse sources- DIVERSITY IS KEY

I think what we need to change in medicine is that each person is an individual and they need to be treated and diagnosed as such. There is no one size fits all test or treatment
