      @@PatrickRiggs33 Hey I could really use some help, I have a Suzuki LTZ-400 2012 model and it dosent seem to have tie rod nuts. I'm really confused and would appreciate any help you can give.

    • @PatrickRiggs33
      @PatrickRiggs33  Рік тому

      @@lucabruno1270 I'm not really sure how to help you with that. It sounds like you need to order some new tierod end nuts. If you order new tie rod ends it should come with the jam nuts.

      @@PatrickRiggs33 Thank you for responding, so it turns out that the nuts welded themselves onto the tie rod over time and that's why they wouldn't twist off.

    I have an '08 LTZ 400 limited edition it has a slight pull to the right I put new tires on it but still has that slight pull to the right I measured tire circumference equally perfect match front and rear with equal tire psi ...I swap tire from left side to the right still has a slight pull to the right I towed the right wheel in 10 mm and added + 2 lb of air to the right front and rear tires and on asphalt and steeper crowns it's still pull slightly to the right but it did help a lot I measured the distance of the axles front and rear on both sides the right side comes out 20 mm shorter than the left side in the right rear the tire is 20 mm closer to the mudguard then the left side and the rear sprocket rides toward the right on the front leading edge in the chain .. so I'm guessing at least it looks like the carrier bearing is not true squared in the swing arm and I don't know of any way of adjusting the tracking on the rear other than to modify the swing arm or the the bolts in order to add enough play to compensate for adjustment which I'm hesitant to do

    • @PatrickRiggs33
      @PatrickRiggs33  Рік тому

      Yep, sounds like the stock swingarm adjustment holes are slightly ovaled out. That will cause the rear carrier to be biased toward one side. Live with it, fix it, or upgrade the swingarm.

    Tried this yesterday on my raptor 700. On one side I got a measurement of 1inch and something, don't remember exactly. Went to other side of the quad and got 7/8 of an inch. Am I doing something wrong.

    • @PatrickRiggs33
      @PatrickRiggs33  3 роки тому

      Nope, sounds about right. They can be off like that. They aren't Porsche/Mercedes quality precision.

  • @conniestevenson226

    The extra 1/8" of toe from lonestar is prolly to retain front end trackability to keep from wandering while under hard acceleration where the front tires are barely putting pressure on ground. So this extra 1/8" toe will function the same as if there is normal pressure on front tires at the normal 1/8" toe but not under hard acceleration. So hard accelerating is better with 1/4" toe. Normal cruising or just high speed riding without hard acceration from corner to corner sprinting around on a track would work good at 1/8" toe

    • @PatrickRiggs33
      @PatrickRiggs33  3 роки тому

      Great info! I suspect you are probably right on that. For whatever reason down here in FL every quad that I setup people are very happy with the 1/8" toe in and we ride fairly aggressively skimming over whoops, etc...

      @@PatrickRiggs33 I initially set my toe at 1/4. for Croom and ocala it was to much. I'm at 1/8 as well. Works well berm to berm and skipping across the woops.

    Hey Dude, is switching over to the LTR swinger a pain in the butt? What does it entail, parts etc.?

    • @PatrickRiggs33
      @PatrickRiggs33  Рік тому

      No, not really a pain in the butt. To put it simply, everything from the Swingarm pivot backwards becomes LTR except for the rear shock, that stays LTZ. If cost is an issue go LTR, if you want to do it 100% right get an aftermarket LTZ swingarm from Lonestar or Fireball.
