Actually, that tanker is short compared to a 53 foot trailer with an extra extra large car!
Sorry, but that tanker is super easy once you are used to it!
It was always called Supertine backing ever since the beginning of trucking.

Where should your tires on the rear be lined up against the cones so you don’t end up being too far or too close to the cone( on the driver side window) once you start getting inside the box

If you are in a sleeper tractor with a 48 to 53 ‘ trailer, you want to be one yard from the rear cone. Depending on your angle- almost on the line or close to it
After this driver did his pull up when he started backing up he steered to the right to bring the trailer into the alley. Check the rear tire on the trailer- not close to the line but due to the angle, it was the correct move. Due to a poor setup, when following up with the left- he could not see the cone at the top of the alley.
View my videos ( short and long) on getting a good angle- setup- and how to fix a poor setup.

HI Steve - was wondering - do you happen to know Michael Koch who lives in Arizona? He is a long time friend of mine and he said he knows a Trucker Steve so I was wondering if that was you? Could you let me know - thanks Steve :)
