Hey Arekkz, thank you so much for this showcase of the armor, specifically when you twirled the character around to show him from every angle. I've been looking for reference of the armor for a while so I could maybe figure out how to draw it, but I couldn't find any reference from the back. I appreciate it a ton!

@@zephyr2130 yup, but I see where his joke is coming from: MHGU's final boss armor set is effectively the "old world" equivalent, in that it has a lot of slots, with the (I believe head piece?) doubling all the skill points in the chest piece.
@SonicEdge7 nah bro that’s torso up. The Ahtal-Ka set has 2 skills: skill +2 and double talisman. Skill +2 gives every single skill you have 2 extra points and double talisman doubles every skill on your talisman(including the decoration slots). This fight is so goddamn hard, they really made fatalis feel like the ultimate monster for this one. I mean, that world is harder than the old games is no question but this fight is absolutely insane when you‘re alone. You‘re basically standing in front of an auto-firing tank-cannon with claws and a tail with a reach of „enough for you“. Enjoy carting, the seats are first-class 👍
Doge oh definitely 😂 But i mean for example, compare alatreon or master rank kulve to any monster in mh3u or mh4u or double cross or whatever. Or just alatreon to itself. Or any old fatalis to the weapon of mass destruction that they released today. Sure, the gameplay is more fluent but if i could beat entire games (all of them since mh3) as the dimwit teenager i was with very intermediate effort then i would definitely say, that the older games were easier 😄 also, side by side videos of new and old alatreon, fatalis, silver rathalos, blablabla should suffice, so let the angry mob come 😄
@@plusRpm mmm i guess you didnt play mhfu... Plesioth, not alatreon, not fatalis, not even crimson or white fatalis, plesioth is the most difficult powerful momster ever. It will hipcheck your soul even if you are in the other point of the world. Oh boy, world is difficult you say...
@@plusRpm and now in a serious manner, world is much easier, with some exceptions. Bsrioth is super easy, rajang is easier for me, brachy is like a toy, goldian and silverlos are stupid easy as you can make them soft. Fatalis is literally a Dragon God, he's suppose to be extremely difficult. Be thankful for this version cause in the older ver the hitboxes are awful you get hit by invisible attacks and you get sent flying with every hit, also no stun resistance either :D.
I already got 2 pieces of his armor, so here's my tips and tricks to how to beat this guy: Step 1) Take cat plunderblade. EDIT- Step 2) Break horns twice, get 3rd piece.
@@homerlol9058 yes. I did it, my friends did it, some of us had 4 piece before downing him for the 1st time. Just be sure you break the wings to get some felwings, i think those unlock stuff.
If anyone is still trying to beat it, use clutch boost and heavy artillery 2. Make sure its legs and chest are wounded almost all of the time and use the siege weapons whenever its safe (if you have a stooge up or if you have temporal mantle available). Heavy artillery 2 buffs each cannonball hit from 225 to 450, and each ballista bolt to a wounded are from 37 to 70+ Try to stay at the flanks, chipping away at the legs and chest while hitting the head when its safe to do so.
This is a perfect Engame reward for a game like this in my opinion. Just let people go ham with their set! Everyone that manages to farm Fatalis has come a long way, and generally has experienced everything there is to experience in World/Iceborne. So just opening up the skill system to some ridiculous new sets is the only way for those people to actually feel rewarded. Really loving this final update!
I farmed both A+ and B+ armors and now I am thinking of crafting his GS and LS. Really tough and annoying fight (the 30 min timer) but damn the rewards really are worth it. I can’t wait to try my build on arch-temp Velkhana
@Sreekanth V try going full elemental on him as he's weak 3 stars on fire. I main glaive and my strategy is always start a fight going for that mount to get a good damage when he's downed, learn the monster moveset, don't rush attacks and wait for good opportunity to hit ya know, be patient and calm.
^ This. Farming the Evil Eye takes awhile but plunderblade definitely has a shot to get it. I think a 3.9% chance That said though, the process I've found the most simple is as follows Bring Ghillie Mantle, Artillery, max partbreaker and Heavy Artillery 100%. Put the mantle on and load the cannons then push the one to the far right once while the left cannon 3 times. Fire the one on the right and as soon as you damage him, he'll tell and charge you. During this time, make a break for the far left cannon. Once all the shots hit, he'll fall over where you can then proceed to use your best sticky bowgun on his wings. It'll take a massive chunk from the wings and a couple shots after that will break them. Make sure you use your Palico palarang and plunderblade for drops. Once he carts you, go to your tent, switch your palicos special equipment and then swap it right back to plunderblade to reset the cool down then go back to Fatalis and have your Palico plunder again. You have a max of 4 drops from Palico so once you have them all and the wings are broken, return from quest, DO NOT ABANDON OR YOU LOSE YOUR DROPS then you wash, rinse and repeat the same process over and over until you have all the materials you need.
Still, keep in mind RNG is RNG. Some people are still doing this process after a day while others have gotten all their drops in under 3 hours. Be patient, keep at it and good luck
I've been having fun fighting him with long-style GL, but it's extremely difficult to fight him solo with Lance/GL. His attacks do huge chip damage and he can spam them quickly enough that you have no time to sheath - so you just get chipped to death. I'm usually top or second-highest damage dealer in a group of four, though, where I don't get harassed with fireballs. For anyone who's solo'd him with lance, did you use an evasion build?
super spesh dude. I made every armor in every game since tri (not a flex, an explanation, would be a pretty bleak flex) and i‘ll stand by anyone saying the new fatalis armor is 1 billion times better. The old one looked like an oddly well-made toddler‘s dragon-costume. Sure, there are very, veeeeery nice old armors but especially the new masterrank outfits are amazing. I‘m still not sold on at least half the high-rank stuff but if anything, the much higher fantasy aesthetic of masterrank with so many g-rank greats from older games returning shows they listened. And also, i would like to repeat that the old fatalis armor looks goofy to behold.
@@DarthAssViolater Oh no don't worry I've plenty of other ideas but this build will be for when I can't be arsed putting extra effort in in the guiding lands 😁 got my 2 set Fatalis 4 set Shara going already
What Holo said. This is an extremely rough, but fair fight. Avoid the attacks as best you can, make sure your armor is top notch, pre-meditate its attacks. But if you want a tip that isn't outright "git gud", Heavy Artillery boosts the damage output of the cannons and ballista by 50% or 100% depending on the investment. They're useful for breaking parts and doing massive burst damage, but only really worth using if you have Heavy Artillery. If you don't, they aren't any more efficient than slapping the beast yourself. Regardless, happy hunting.
@@Voldarok I dont know about fair. Canta is one of the best players and he thinks it's cheap and I agree with him. Insane hit boxes and some "how?" attacks really make it kind of annoying
@@angellara7040 I don't know who Canta is, but I've fought Fatalis myself. So I'm speaking from my own experiences. The hitboxes need Evade WIndow 3 at minimum if you're to properly dodge through consistently, assuming proper timing. Elsewise everything is rather fair, just very difficult to manage with. That's all the fight is. It's an exceedingly difficult fight that will put all of your fundamental skills to the test, often times to the point of absurdity. Considering what it is and what it's meant to be, then yeah. I'd say it's fair.
Honestly, he is everything I wanted him not to be, he easly 1 shots, all the attacks have huge hitbxes, he does a lot of attacks that come from "nowere" like it looks like he moves and you die and the worst part at least for me, because, for some reason, the harder the monster, the dumber the guys I hunt with.

Fatalis Armor has finally helped me upgrade my Support Longsword set. Before I had to 4 set Kulve Taroth with my main weapon being a Taroth longsword so I can use either Divine Blessing Secret or Maximum Might secret and still have enough to support. Now I can do all of that and still do the dmg needed to support the team. I would switch my Taroth Sword over to the Fatalis Longsword for it's very good raw but I like guts and guts saves you a lot (Except from fireblight and floor on fire.) and my Taroth sword is basically my partner at this point. my Armor can change but that Taroth longsword is my partner through and through.
I've only got one question, as someone that hasn't played the game yet, and I hope someone can answer it: What exactly will one use that armor set for anyway? What is there more to achieve in the game after beating Fatalis? What would one 'need' his armor for?
That is a really good question. There aren’t any secret-like optional bosses/monsters, or arena gauntlet in the game where you can bring your best of the best equipment to test your overall power and skill. Maybe you can wear it to do some gold crown hunting to complete the achievements if you haven’t done them yet.

@@zephyr2130 yup, but I see where his joke is coming from: MHGU's final boss armor set is effectively the "old world" equivalent, in that it has a lot of slots, with the (I believe head piece?) doubling all the skill points in the chest piece.

Lol why was Rage like “this is good armor but not the best”. This looks like the best hands down.
Because it doesn't have other set bonus like master's touch, (true) elemental crt and the elemental+affinity boost from safi set bonus. I think safi/silver rath will still be the meta for elemental db and bow since other skills can't increase elemental damage

@@gabigab7240 you could make some pretty cool mixes with armors that have 3 piece bonuses, though.
A lot of people will be raising their pitchforks on you saying that world's harder than the old games lmao
Doge oh definitely 😂
But i mean for example, compare alatreon or master rank kulve to any monster in mh3u or mh4u or double cross or whatever.

Fatalis is literally a Dragon God, he's suppose to be extremely difficult. Be thankful for this version cause in the older ver the hitboxes are awful you get hit by invisible attacks and you get sent flying with every hit, also no stun resistance either :D.

Heavy artillery 2 buffs each cannonball hit from 225 to 450, and each ballista bolt to a wounded are from 37 to 70+
Try to stay at the flanks, chipping away at the legs and chest while hitting the head when its safe to do so.

I main glaive and my strategy is always start a fight going for that mount to get a good damage when he's downed, learn the monster moveset, don't rush attacks and wait for good opportunity to hit ya know, be patient and calm.
@Sreekanth V What platform do you play on? I could help you if you'd like.

bro how?
@@walkercoffy1665 Plunderblade brother :) - You can get everything with it except for hardhorns and his wing materials, u need to break them sadly.
^ This. Farming the Evil Eye takes awhile but plunderblade definitely has a shot to get it. I think a 3.9% chance
That said though, the process I've found the most simple is as follows
Bring Ghillie Mantle, Artillery, max partbreaker and Heavy Artillery 100%.

Sure, there are very, veeeeery nice old armors but especially the new masterrank outfits are amazing. 1. Git gud
2. Have a dedicated healer
