So just a few months after installing the circle D converter your tranny went out? I just installed a circle D converter in my 2017 SS and within 4 months the converter and clutch failed. I sent the converter back, they rebuilt it and upgraded it to their race series. I put it back in the car and also installed a brand new GM clutch. It lasted about 1 month, not its doing the exact same thing your car did when you were driving it.
No the zl1 clutch is for a 8 bolt flywheel. Just a standard clutch like a monster will come with the pilot bearing you need. Go with a twin disc and you will love it
I’m in the process of doing the manual swap but I’m having an issue I think you might be able to help. I did a COMPLETE swap, dash harness, engine/trans harness… I’m building the engine, so it’s out for now, however when I pulled it out, all my electronics remained in working order. I eventually pulled the dash, swapped the harness and put it all back together. There was no cutting or wires involved at all, straight plug and play. Now my issue is I have power to the cluster and AC controls(it’s a 2010 SS) but no power windows, sunroof, tail lights, brake lights, wipers, radio…. I basically only have the headlight halos, and front blinkers… I’ve unplugged and plugged every connector back in, checked every fuse/relay and wire you can think of. What do you think?
I plugged in my scanner and came back with like 30 DTSs for the BCM, saying it lost communication with the ECM. Like I said, everything is plugged in the way it was with the old automatic harness, and it was working just fine before pulling the dash. The ONLY difference is I now have the 2 connectors for the clutch/brake pedals. The rest of the harness is virtually identical, so I’m completely lost here. Anything you can think of helps 😅
I want to do a maunal swop in my car as well so your videos are very helpful

I’m about to do this on a 13SS with a LSX block and K1 6bolt crank. Will I need a zl1 clutch and what pilot bearing did you use
