i mean they are also responsible for warframe itself. From my understanding the orokin is basically humanity. They conquered the planets our solar system and created every other ‘faction’ in the game. Corpus, Grineer, infected, sentinels. @ Parvos Granum, the founder of the corpus was a serf to the Orokin. Idk if that’s technically still orokin or not, but everything else seems sound lore-wise.
Tbh i think the explanation is simple but more complicated the longer you think about it. Albrecht is the man in the wall, he stepped into the void and made "nothingness" into "everything". I think he was sheered into 2 separate beings, one which is his human person and the other which is the doppelganger of him (desires, needs, fears) but since he didnt make a deal or accept it (as we did) the entity chases him to attempt to close the loop. My thoughts on it
My take is something similar. I think since he albrect was the first thing the indifference witnessed, he took an imprint of him when he was in the void, and albrect is a scientist. I think the indifference is incomplete, and has the search for unknown knowledge like albrect. Giving him a reason to interact with tennos in the beginning (because their native race has high mental capacity). And also why most things that enter the void is destroyed unless it carries the drive (a copy of his finger) because they don't interest him. This would also explain why the citizens of duviri have to keep their emotions in check, to keep off his radar.
Good video and I agree. The void was feeding off Loid's bitterness towards Albrecht. The 'good' one, being Albrecht's, who neutralized his own doll when he escaped The Man the first time? This would explain why Loid calmed down... He wasn't just whitnessing the touch, but he actively felt Albrecht's touch... on the same cheek as Albrecht touched when he left, might I add. And the reason why Albrecht seems to be under control of The Man now, is due to his insistence to return, giving The Man enough opening to 'relink' to Albrecht.
I really like the idea of voodoo. I mean technically all the tenno are puppet masters. Our powers originate from the indifference so it wouldn't be too far off to say that he can do what we do on a much larger scale.
That's a cool idea. How I interpreted it is that he calmed down because of what Albrecht said leading up to it (resolving much of the resentment that Loid had for him), and because that action mirrored Albrecht's gesture at the beginning of the quest. Loid no doubt is remembering that scene very vividly at the end there.
maybe. but we know that one of the vessels was used for arthur or is arthur(i’m not sure which) because our tenno ends up being transferred into them when we use the computer iirc
One theory I have is that "We end as we began" is referring to the Tenno. Where did we start? Scared. Powerless. Unable to help our friends. Making a deal. What if we end losing our powers, as we never give back to the Indifference. What if we end scared, powerless, and unable to save our allies? (Maybe it can end in a final showdown, having our minds pulled from the transferrence pods that ordis hastily fixed when our powers were lost?)
That begs the question. What will happen to the tennos' powers once the Indifference is defeated or restrained in some way? What's keeping Wally from taking back the bargain that we have now betrayed?

It occurs to me to think of this: if each of the microscopic cells in our bodies were sentient and capable of individual life and sense, would they not view us as a being of infinite power and vast indifference? Capable of sweeping in for inscrutable reasons destroying their individual existence and fleeting lives? What if the void is a greater being made up of all the lives of dust together, with it’s own will and troubles but depending on billions for its continuance? Great video! Subbing for future Warframe lore! Loid charging at an eldritch entity at the end and screaming that he wouldn't let the Indifference win made me laugh. I wasn't sure what was going on throughout the questline until I started reading more into it, but I'm still quite a bit confused. This chapter has raised a bunch of questions for me and left very few answers. 11:55 PM on December 31st, 1999 is a very specific date and time and Arthur looks somewhat like Hayden Tenno from Dark Sector, which is not surprising given that Warframe uses much of Dark Sector's terms and themes as it was Warframe's spiritual predecessor. We're still not sure what the actual terms of the agreement between us and the Man in the Wall during the Zariman accident were or what Albrecht's true intentions really are. I'm really looking forward to future story quests.
From what I understood, the man in wall let us escape the void but he collapsed the infinite timelines that Eternalism suggests into just 2: The dreamer (that can't age any more) and the drifter. However, we still don't know what the man in the wall got out of this. My guess is that the man in the wall, always interested in the real world, uses the connection he established to observe us and therefor the real world.
I personally think it doesn't matter if we chose the good or bad side because at the the doppelganger its getting what he wants opening the void more like duviri it appeared out of nowhere or zariman they all still connected to the void and i guess that the the man in the wall will end up escaping or expanding the void ether will give him his freedom
I would agree with your speculation and in fact go as so far to say its not speculation at all, but observation to detail. The man in the wall seems to be a representation of the void and this would all make sense. The void predates all and is the beginning and end and exist beyond time and so does tmitw. He also seems to be need of a vessel since the void cannot interact on a physical level in reality. What you mentioned about rell supports this. Not only that, self evidently he cannot appear physically without a host, otherwise he would have. His first attempted host seems to be the scientist. He attempted to be the scientist and be all that he was, hence why he could not speak, see or recognize himself anymore. This also alludes to the void/tmitw itself, with it representing nothing, and to be something in physical reality, it needs a physical form, the tenno. The tenno is best option of all possibilities, one who could rule over the physical and void. But i think this is what could make the tenno more powerful than the void since the void is limited in many ways and operates much like femto, or "god" in one punch man, in that he can only affect you spiritually, and mentally but nothing more. He can also hop through the timestream, but hes still very limited.
Yes! That's essentially what I could understand. Tmitw is a vastly limited being, but so massive in scope that we can't fathom how he could be limited.
24:49 1999 was said to be the only place that HE could not easily follow. Meaning that once the clock turns 12, it is too late to help Albrecht. And i do believe the infested shown during the 1999 segment are supposed to be related to the Y2K incident, although im not sure as to why they had appeared before the new millenium
That's an amazing observation! I was actually looking into the infested and their origin and I believe 1999 has something to do with it. I also believe that the infested and the indifference have a relationship that we aren't seeing as well. But I'll leave that theory in the clip for now.
@@PenOfEvil before tennocon 2023 there were 2 or 3 Nora related pages with stories from the universe. One about a mining colony on Phobos, and the other two being Latrox and (Necra)Loid. The Infested om Deimos, the Gray Strain, are afraid.
The sequence in 1999 is on 31 of December, and if you look behind Albrecht when he speaks, behind him there is a clock at exacly 11:59 pm, and as it turns to 12:00 pm, "Albrecht" smiles. I think this means that he is the real Albrecht as he says "You are late". And we were indeed late, for as 1999 comes to a close and the clock hits 12:00 pm, the Indifference takes over. We have to go back to 1999 BEFORE the year ends.
Thank you for this video I literally wouldn’t have understood this story if it wasn’t for your video it’s always left to the players interpolation at most time kinda like it is with all the Souls game I would Love a video about Bloodborne Lore 🤩
Thanks to eternalism time travel is pointless because now there exist 2 timelines, one in which you went back in time altering the natural course of events and one you didn't.
It's super confusing because technically if you go back in time it doesn't alter your future. It just creates an alternate timeline. But I don't know how paradoxical relationships work in Warframe.
Alter the past and the future that led to you going to the past for that reason stops existing. Unless the time travel is essentially self stabilizing, meaning that whatever you do in the past always needed to be done, so when you did it you didn't alter the time stream you enabled it to flow as it would've. It's dumb.@@PenOfEvil
Well technically within the rules of eternalism there aren't branching timelines but timelines stacked onto of each other. In every moment in eternalism, the answer to every question is both yes and no. It mostly would not cause issues except for the fact that the void manifests everything which is what makes wally dangerous. Using the void, he utilizes the Albrecht he captured to stop us from reaching the Albrecht who wasnt.
Vitruvian man - I dont think that is its true form. I think that void is in it self formless, It desires now to take form, now that it encountered a human being - Oroking scientist. But also concider this. Vitruvian man is part of the message that has been sent in to space in the decades ago. Maybe the void learned this form there.
Something i want to bring up is the computer in the lab under the note "The sentinel" it reads "Rell had voluntarily assumed the duty of keeping the Origin System safe from a Void-based entity referred to as the 'man in the wall' - 'The man in the wall' is identical with the entity known to us as 'the indifference'" these notes state that the man in the wall is void based therefor meaning it came from the void and saying hes identical to the indifference which means they are seperate. If they werent the same then i believe they would have made their wording more clear rather than saying they were identical. You wouldnt call something identical to itself... right?
I see where the confusion is coming from but just to remind you both can be true. It can indeed be two different things. The indifference does not abide by any natural laws we know of. It has shown up as many different things, in different places, at the same time and different times. Convoluted I know.
The man in the wall gives me the feeling that whatever it is he wants isn't gonna be the end of the Galaxy/reality. The two beings to come incontact with it. Being Aldrich and the Tenno the player. It takes on their forms to try and commune with them with their reality. But if it is trying to do something "evil" why doesn't it just do it? What is stopping it? when Aldrich first encountered his double gainer i believe you said he was smiling. A feeling of joy. Perhaps because the man in the wall finally found a way to contact the beings it has been watching and wanted to reach out and was shut off. I don't think he is evil more misunderstood. It's existence likely had no emotion until it copied Adlrich. Overwhelmed by something new something different it wanted more. I think the man in the walls goal is to reach a new existence. One less divine and possibly more mortal to be able to experience it's favorite show. Like how many people dream of being isekai'd.
Find it out of no where they would pick the final destination song for arthurs flash back. A song that was meant for a movie about a world where fate is inevitable and can not be escaped. As in if you knew when you were going to die you could not prevent it no matter what.
7:14 He's not getting stronger or gaining more freedom. It's explained in the sanctum computer that his attention towards the origin system has increased after Ballas opened numerous void portals, iirc
What is being said in the computer by Albrecht is Albrecht theorizing. Not what is happening. Its motive, circumstances and or rules that it follows are still completely unknown.
Man in the wall is so far perfect "villain". Am not much sure he even is, yet his or maybe better, its acts are seen as evil, twisted. All fun ends when it appears, small skirmishes there and there, but you know its bad when you hear its voice and feel its immense presence. Whispers in the wall was nice, but made a mess in my mind even more. If Albrecht was one of Orokin, then why he was small? All others Entrati are bigger in stature, blue shining eyes etc. Ballas was pretty much the same. And another question, aren't we, operators, Orokin origin aswell? I may be wrong, but wasn't Zariman ship theirs? But back to title of this video, I think personaly that the Man in the Wall is omnipresent, time doesn't matter for it, it is where it desire to be and when.
To answer your question as to why Albrecht looks normal while ballas did not has to do with his participation in orokin culture. Many orokin participated in vast and in many times disturbing body modifications as it was a sign of status. When Albrecht came into contact with the void he chose to abandon such practices and thus has a more normal visage.
Wait, if the indifference gets stronger and do some stuff based on the mood of Loid, that explains the scene when the Cavias die after the frustration that Loid accumulated betweem the arguments they had, but at the end they revive because Loid started cry meaning he would have missed them? If thats so, this "indifference" is more interesting than I thought! I mean, of how can interact with people, directly or indirectly. Another question I have, why Albert was there when the indifference was talking about the deal he made with the tenno? Is he connected to the deal too?
Technically shouldn't limbo either be the most op weapon we have or be taken by the void a while ago? Or is it a bit like the different strands of time? He uses "unused" timeliness as weapon?
Dude I fucking hate how the writing for Warframes story been ever since they introduced the Drifter. It’s like some weird fuckin art college student and writing it and they’re just writing none-sense that doesn’t make any sense and thinking it’s some profound deep shit when it isn’t. Irs like every dialogue piece is just a series of double negatives and contradictions it’s so annoying
I don' t think its "backward in time" time travel, i think its "another universe" time travel, one causes paradoxes, the other doesn't and uhh earth being taken over by the infested in 1999 seems like a paradox. as in how tf did people survive to the future for albrecht to be born and go back in time to cause the breakout? Short Answer: Multiverse time travel
Here I thought the term paracausal was purely a Destiny idiom/piece of lingo to redefine magic in that universe. Guess you learn something new every day. That said, kudos to DE for making the evolution of their IP's Lovecraftian big bad more compelling amd consistent than Bungie's.
I still have no idea what the darkness and the traveler have to do with each other, because it's laced with way too much ambiguity. "I don't have time to explain, why I don't have time to explain." 😐
@PenOfEvil Recent lore hints that they were once one unified force or power. However, the Darkness is just now one side of that paracausal coin, as indifferentas the Man in the Wall. Perhaps moreso. The Big Bad Darkness enemy is now a gestalt being calling Itself the Witness, seeking to fashion a Final Shape for the universe. But granted, its motivations or what rhat Final Shape really is are still yet to be fully explained.
"Paracausality" was coined first in Destiny, yes, but it follows typical linguistic structure for how words were invented in the past. "Para-" meaning "beside" while "causal" meaning "relating to cause and effect." From there, it's not hard for us to figure out what "paracausality" means.
@@PenOfEvilthe traveler doesnt really have much to do with the darkness by default. Its only because he gave powers to a race of meganihilists who want to use the travelers powers plus darkness powers to rewrite reality.
being blue and long limbs were like a fashion statement to the richer orokin that’s why the tenno and others on the zariman aren’t blue despite them all being orokin
You never explained why Entrati was in the end cutscene and speaking with the man in the wall. Is Entrati now evil or something? Was that Entrati? Do we even know where Entrati is?
My bad😅. 1. Albrecht's alignment is unknown. 2. I'm sure that's what he looked like, I don't believe it was actually him though. 3. He is somewhere in the past most likely, or he is dead. I highly doubt he is dead though because I believe Warframe 1999 will be us going back in time to find him. I could be wrong though.
Can someone explain in short version who is who in this game, without Shakespeare’s bullshit. Is it humans fighting gods or aliens? If they are humans.
My guess is that the man in the wall, always interested in the real world, uses the connection he established to observe us and therefor the real world.
i just realized MAH BOI STEFAN RUDNIKI voiced Albrecht Entrati. Dude's got a legendary voice
You explained a great deal to me! This was such an in-depth video!
Glad it was helpful!
one thing i do want from this is that AK, just because memes.
but i will not lie NIN was a very unexpected thing to hear in warframe

loved the video, would love to see more warframe lore from an interested new player. timeline video?

The Infested om Deimos, the Gray Strain, are afraid.
the man in the wall possessed lotus
she smiled when he was "gone", if you notice he jumped to her
and then she said "i am not one, there are voices"
this really reminds me of similar things that happened in path of exile... Imagine if the two were in the same universe somehow...

@@PenOfEvil : o
Thank you for the video dude!
Thank you even more for watching !🙏

He's not getting stronger or gaining more freedom.
Is he connected to the deal too?
i just want to be able to replay the quest

Technically shouldn't limbo either be the most op weapon we have or be taken by the void a while ago? Or is it a bit like the different strands of time? He uses "unused" timeliness as weapon?
I just keep thinking of Dune with the voice he keeps pulling up
23:53 he set free now He's no need to talk to us 23:53 23:53
Yeah... He can... Because if you can go back in the lore of Protea, she was created by Ballas and Alad V, one of her powers was time travel. So...
I like your words magic man

♫tell me doctor, Where are we going this time♪ Is it the fifties, or 1999♫
🙌
what about the cat
Some of them random giants have random heart beat sounds this the ruins heart of demois is no where near here
who owns the other fingers?
It's kinda weird because it says fingers as if it was multiple but he is only missing one finger.
Woah

I don't think 1999 is the real place in the past. For all that they shown it probably is a construct like Duviri,
Maybe🤔
Yeah, Eternalism. Time is of no consequence
Also, Albrecht..why not so blue?
being blue and long limbs were like a fashion statement to the richer orokin that’s why the tenno and others on the zariman aren’t blue despite them all being orokin
Albrecht was given new skin by loid because his old body was all messed up after his first encounter with the void
@@isaiahguillen9299 really? Do you know where some is lore is? I'd like to know more..
@@StiffAftermath I would suggest going onto the warframe wiki to the orokin page under culture you might be able to find some more things
@@PenOfEvil So the answer is there's no lore answer or anything, this quest just threw lots of curveballs that we know nothing about it.
