Good stuff again! Anything abandoned railways is always interesting. I still enjoy your off the cuff amateur style it defo makes your channel stand out in a positive way! :)
Hey It's Thomas Edward .... love that Thumbnail and I thought that was my D4 at the beginning .... I cant believe how much you know love this history would love to find out more about the old lines of Exmouth I remember them before they demolished them but that's about it !
Knew you'd spot that D4 was quite lot of LR's in Ludlow actually did you spot the D130? I don't know too much but people have oways say I have head full of knowledge so must be true. You should definitely go exploring of lines near you because you got all gear and presenting style to make great video even if you don't know what your looking at still make exploring video.
T.E. What a fantastic video following the old railway line with great information 👍🏻 Love how you show the route on old maps 🤩 Shame it got closed like a lot of other railway lines in the 60s 😫 I wonder how it would of been today with the cost of fuel now 🤔
Thank you appreciate your kind words Like lot lines it would been well used I would of think now specially for all jobs for small villages get to bigger towns etc. You wouldn't think I did this video over about 2 month period.
Thoroughly enjoyed your video. You’re right about ‘station house’ at 16:06 being built on the site of the old Tenbury railway station. You mentioned it looks like a working men’s club for the factory. It actually wasn’t… there was a factory that ran along the length of the old railway line called Wells Drinks which closed down many years ago. The building that is named Station House used to be Wells Drinks main office building. I worked for Wells Drinks for a few years back in the 1980’s. Everyone thought the car park at the end of the site was haunted and quite a few people claimed to have seen an old ghostly station master walking the line holding a lamp. Never saw anything myself but it was definitely a creepy place to be on nights 😂
Brilliant video that you did, a friend and me once walked along there and took a few pictures of what we saw, it includes a bridge that was just outside of Cleobury Mortimer in the way to Tenbury, well I say bridge it was more a viaduct, it has since been demolished I believe, it’s either been demolished or buried, not sure to be honest, I have done a video of it which you might like to see, it includes a few other things we see, it was from 1989 so quite a few years ago so a lot has changed, just put in Cleobury Mortimer and Ditton Priors light railway, I’m on there, once again thanks for a great video, keep up the good work, also I have a Facebook page on the CM&DPLR as it was known, your welcome to have a look.
Thanks for the video beautiful area would loved to have been around when the line was still there. Good to see the stations being looked after. Take care man!!😎🚂🚃🚃🇬🇧
Yeah! It's amazing how many lines we lost but now we could actually still have and need in some areas greatly. But it's nice to see stations have new releases of life in the modern age.
I saw you, and presumably your parents, through our window on Saturday evening (10 July) walking by the canal wharf at Audlem, and then driving off in the blue MG. Does that mean you are doing a film on this part of the Shropshire Union Canal - or perhaps it was just a day out. Hopefully the former. Peter
No way!!! Can't get away without now a days 😂😂 I might be back to Audlem for future TE videos so kinda yes! But I was only in town because was buying something off ebay. Then we had chips and had mooch along the canal before we drove back north! Was actually filming in Cheshire this weekend of upcoming big film topic project. Was with my Mam and Manger 😉
