@@lukasmiller486 Very well put. How often are we told that doubting is a bad thing? The reason it is called "faith" is because it lacks the element of certainty. My faith is a constant internal war but in some ways this has strengthened me and given me wisdom and humility i would otherwise lack.

I always found it so strange that Satan's reaction here isn't the cartoonish anger one might expect from a villain. When he disappears he seems almost...sad? An interesting acting choice for sure. Like he really believes in what he's doing.
You know... a thought just occurred to me after reading your comment. I can’t help but wonder if one of reasons for them using for that brilliantly subtle acting choice in how they portray Satan, was a unique way for the show to take to heart the themes of a particular Bible verse that interestingly enough, encapsulates that very subject. This one to be exact “There is a way that seems right to a man... but in the end it leads to death.” - The Holy Bible, The Book Of Proverbs, 14th Chapter, 12th Verse The way Satan is portrayed in this episode really does seem to reinforce the theme of that Bible verse, in addition to showing a very subtlety realistic depiction of evil that we could all definitely see being very persuasive to someone, especially if that hypothetical someone for example did not realize what they were getting into. Considering the point you made regarding that when he disappears he seems almost... sad, like he really believes in what he’s doing and considering that the Bible describes him as “The Father Of Lies” perhaps it was the show’s way of conveying to the audience that he is such a talented liar that he has even succeeded in self deception so much to a point of even lying to himself and as a result being so far gone that he truly believes it. This would further explain why he’s able to say with a straight face “I’m not the enemy... I‘m the alternative” and moreover to say it without any hint of self-awareness at the cognitive dissonance of his statement.
Everybody loses faith at some point in life, that's natural, but the real challenge is finding it and getting it back again, in this show its the same for angels. NO existing being is perfect, mortal, angel or otherwise, except the one who created them all.
The thing is Jesus is the faith the love and everything else to the Christian he is the source. All we ever have to do is seek him and he gives the faith. To lose faith is to lose your sight on Jesus. Always remember being in a world with suffering was the mercy of God allowing us to exist with his judgment suspended so he may redeem us back to him. So even though the suffering is not from God we can still see his love because of it.
One day we will all be wearing white in our new Heavenly bodies. This scene is beautiful. It showed Monica earned her wings,. Now she is an archangel. It goes to show that as humans if we learn from our mistakes then God will renew us inside. That is why it is good to let out a cry. Not keep pain and anger inside which hurts the human spirit.

Why do I cry when she says, please Father, I want to come home. I feel her pain. We all want to go home to Heaven, but God has work for us down here. We will be called when our work is complete. And we do it because we love God. And God honors that.

Probably one of my favorite episodes thought yes that MIGHT be weird to say unless you understand how deep this episode was. I suppose I like how the show isn't mincing words or tiptoeing around the truth: there is another side, even if it's not really a side the angels want to join.

It's good to see a tv show where even ANGELS are tempted to sin (since they actually did). But most Hollywood tv shows now would probably angels (and even Christians) as perfect.
AMEN.The debt has been paid in full. We just have to walk into the bank and claim the deed.(Only A Metaphor here) Salvation is about repentence/acknowledgment of our sin...Predicated by our full acceptance that Jesus/Yeshua died for our sins. Not to confess your sins is the greatest sin of all...PRIDE. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus did not endure the awfulness of the grave for us to become puffed up with pride and pretend it never happened.
The sheer mystery and simplicity of FAITH is a stumbling block for many. Whether you mock my belief in the saving power of Jesus Christ or say things of which you have no knowledge it doesnt change the fact that you will enter into eternity.....that "place" will be determined by whether or not you accepted Him as your Saviour...but make no mistake you will face Him whether you believe in Him or not so to attack is useless because it is the testimony He has given that you find yourself attacking.
That is because faith is not by us. Jesus is the supplier of faith. Neglect focusing on Jesus and what faith is there to receive, none. That is the problem with many churches they focus on doctrine and not the person of Jesus.
The details around Kathleen's fall were woefully underdeveloped. Monica says in one episode that she exchanged the power of love for love of power, as if Satan promised her greater power than she had where she was. (But as far as we see on the show, all Kathleen does involves rather petty attempts at screwing up the lives of individuals, of course always foiled by Monica.)

Actually no. Most of the intolerance is on those who consider themselves “Christian.” Others “say it like it is” too and much of that is far more right than most of Christianity and similar religions.

They will have you worshipping people, ideas, and things which have no spiritual root in the Bible or the Gospel of Our Great Creator. @@rolandreyna215 You have that wrong. Since the work of the cross followers of Jesus are now the temple of the Holy Spirit who resides in us. We have direct access to God unlike the angels. We don't even have to utter a word or even a thought and he is there. We are literally children of God. Jesus is the express image of God, seeing Jesus is seeing the Father. The promise of the Holy Spirit is to reveal and make real Jesus. God is everywhere we are and unlike angels we have unlimited access because they have to actually go before the Lord in heaven.
God exist . If you dont think so wait till the last days what will happen and where youll end up when the earth is finally over. Christians will be in heaven walking on the roads of gold.

Loved this show as a Christian, still love it as an atheist, even if it has many flaws... such as in the one episode where Einstein believed in God. He believed in Spinoza's god, not a personal god. On April 24, 1929, Einstein cabled Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein in German: "I believe in Spinoza's God, who reveals himself in the harmony of all that exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fate and the doings of mankind." I love the show because it presents a depiction of God that isn't pedantic, etc.

You must choose to accept him of your own free will. He will not force you to follow Him. Therefore, if you reject Him and commit evil acts He allows it. @ChuckK3 What we do know about Satan is this. He was a created being, an angel, who was judged because of his rebellion, which the New Testament hints was sparked by his pride (1Timothy 3:6). No he wasnt banished but he was said Goodbye'd to. Satan had a free-will just like any one else. God never made him do any evil, because God is Holy, and does not sin, neither does He cause any one else to sin. If God were to cause created beings to sin, then He would not be Holy, and would be acting contrary to His own Holy Nature and Righteous Character. Angels and humans sin, because they want (will) to, not because God 'had a role in it', or 'orchestrated the sin'.
@KayKayLuvsYah Read Romans chapter 9. When it comes to our salvation, we are not free to choose. This is GOD'S call, and ONLY God's call! Did you choose to be born? Why you didn't even get to pick your own mommy and daddy now, did you? ;) According to Romans 11:32, WE ALL rejected The Lord. Besides, we cannot acknowledge Christ without the Holy Spirit in the first place. (I Corinthians 12:3)

@ChrisAmericaUSA Read Romans 8:38-39. Nothing shall be able to separate us from God. Therefore your friend is going to spend eternity with God just as much as you and I are. ;) The first half of your post is correct, but you then ended up contradicting yourself. Christ's sacrfice is not predicated upon whether or not one believes it. Christ still died for that person and that person's sins are STILL paid for, just like yours and mine were! ;)
No, because the Bible says that Salvation is, 'the Gift Of God' (Ephesians 2:8), and just like any other gift, it can either be accepted or rejected. The reason most of the World is not saved is not because Salvation is unavailable, as through JESUS any one can be saved. Rather, it is because, simply and honestly put, most of the World doesn't want (will) JESUS, or His Salvation. This is why, the Bible explains, 'whoever WILL, let him/her take of the water of LIFE freely' (Revelation 22:17)

It doesn't make sense in the show why God saves some people but others are left to die. Why is Monica so upset that people died en masse? They all get to go to Heaven. And this means that she has never seen this much death before as an angel all the way back during 1865 in the Lincoln episode. Ridiculous!
She's tired of hate. Apparently we still don't get that message. Even today's so called Christians are filled with hate. And we want to elect a President that preaches hate in DJT. We just have to walk into the bank and claim the deed.(Only A Metaphor here) Salvation is about repentence/acknowledgment of our sin...Predicated by our full acceptance that Jesus/Yeshua died for our sins. Not to confess your sins is the greatest sin of all...PRIDE. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus did not endure the awfulness of the grave for us to become puffed up with pride and pretend it never happened.
The sheer mystery and simplicity of FAITH is a stumbling block for many. Whether you mock my belief in the saving power of Jesus Christ or say things of which you have no knowledge it doesnt change the fact that you will enter into eternity.....that "place" will be determined by whether or not you accepted Him as your Saviour...but make no mistake you will face Him whether you believe in Him or not so to attack is useless because it is the testimony He has given that you find yourself attacking.
That is because faith is not by us. Jesus is the supplier of faith. Neglect focusing on Jesus and what faith is there to receive, none. That is the problem with many churches they focus on doctrine and not the person of Jesus.

It's curious to me that Satan fails to get Monica yet managed to sway angels like Kathleen. I wonder how he managed to do that to begin with.
The details around Kathleen's fall were woefully underdeveloped. Monica says in one episode that she exchanged the power of love for love of power, as if Satan promised her greater power than she had where she was. (But as far as we see on the show, all Kathleen does involves rather petty attempts at screwing up the lives of individuals, of course always foiled by Monica.)
Don't forget Monica's evil twin nemesis that shows up now and then.

Actually no. Most of the intolerance is on those who consider themselves “Christian.” Others “say it like it is” too and much of that is far more right than most of Christianity and similar religions.

Are angels allowed to choose what they do? How they live? How many times can an angel watch a person get flattened by a car before they cannot take it anymore? God is always the answer people say. But in context of the show, the angels cannot escape their roles. They cannot live except to serve humans and help with their problems. What kind of life is that?

We need to remember what JESUS says “I AM the way the TRUTH AND THE LIFE the ONLY way to the FATHER is through ME” but I do still love this show!
Uh. Angels have direct connection to God. We humans have to go thru Christ to get to the Father. Angels can already talk to the Father like Christ.
@@rolandreyna215 You have that wrong. Since the work of the cross followers of Jesus are now the temple of the Holy Spirit who resides in us. We have direct access to God unlike the angels. We don't even have to utter a word or even a thought and he is there. We are literally children of God. Jesus is the express image of God, seeing Jesus is seeing the Father. The promise of the Holy Spirit is to reveal and make real Jesus. God is everywhere we are and unlike angels we have unlimited access because they have to actually go before the Lord in heaven.
God exist . If you dont think so wait till the last days what will happen and where youll end up when the earth is finally over. Christians will be in heaven walking on the roads of gold.

Loved this show as a Christian, still love it as an atheist, even if it has many flaws... such as in the one episode where Einstein believed in God. He believed in Spinoza's god, not a personal god.
On April 24, 1929, Einstein cabled Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein in German: "I believe in Spinoza's God, who reveals himself in the harmony of all that exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fate and the doings of mankind."
I love the show because it presents a depiction of God that isn't pedantic, etc.

You must choose to accept him of your own free will. He will not force you to follow Him. Therefore, if you reject Him and commit evil acts He allows it. But it is through our greatest trials that we find Him all the more. When I had cancer and my wife left me God revealed Himself to me as never before. @ChuckK3 What we do know about Satan is this. He was a created being, an angel, who was judged because of his rebellion, which the New Testament hints was sparked by his pride (1Timothy 3:6). No he wasnt banished but he was said Goodbye'd to. Given choices but that was his choice was not to be with od to be a lord himself.Just like its our choice to follow god and not be like Satan,And no " Man " has enterd heaven but how bout spirit i know that i will be in heaven wth God.If i keep it up .

Sounds to me like you have nothing to hope for under those conditions now, huh? Who told you Satan was judged because of his rebellion? Satan is what he is because God created him that way! God knows what He is doing, nothing gets past Him, and you know better to think otherwise. ;)

Besides, we cannot acknowledge Christ without the Holy Spirit in the first place. (I Corinthians 12:3)

@ChrisAmericaUSA Read Romans 8:38-39. Nothing shall be able to separate us from God. Therefore your friend is going to spend eternity with God just as much as you and I are. ;) The first half of your post is correct, but you then ended up contradicting yourself. Christ's sacrfice is not predicated upon whether or not one believes it. Christ still died for that person and that person's sins are STILL paid for, just like yours and mine were! ;)
No, because the Bible says that Salvation is, 'the Gift Of God' (Ephesians 2:8), and just like any other gift, it can either be accepted or rejected.
The reason most of the World is not saved is not because Salvation is unavailable, as through JESUS any one can be saved.
Rather, it is because, simply and honestly put, most of the World doesn't want (will) JESUS, or His Salvation.
This is why, the Bible explains, 'whoever WILL, let him/her take of the water of LIFE freely' (Revelation 22:17)
Alternative ending: Monica cries to heaven, "Oh, so you can do little tricks with flowers, but you just couldn't be troubled to prevent the HUGE TRAGEDY and MASS DEATH that brought me to this point in the first place?!!!" (... **takes jump into Lucifer's welcoming arms.**)
It doesn't make sense in the show why God saves some people but others are left to die. Why is Monica so upset that people died en masse? They all get to go to Heaven. And this means that she has never seen this much death before as an angel all the way back during 1865 in the Lincoln episode. Ridiculous!
She's tired of hate. Apparently we still don't get that message. Even today's so called Christians are filled with hate. And we want to elect a President that preaches hate in DJT. But apparently he's Christian, atleast by today's new meaning. I felt her words where even as angels, you get tired of the same ol human sh*t.
