The colors and various textures of your garden matches the various types of architecture of the public building around you. Some new and shiny others old with lots of character. Both have their place.
Mel, it's great to see you create a whole video. It is awesome to see your area through your eyes. As a suggestion, I think you should do more of these local events including things like that volleyball league. It gives us a greater sense of your community away from the beach (don't get me wrong, I LOVE your beach!!!). I think sometimes we expats view the different areas as places that will provide us with a particular lifestyle, when in fact these areas will provide us with a community that has its own hopes, dreams and aspirations. We expats just come along for the ride! I'll see you folks in your next video. Safe travels back to the USA
It's amazing how using different colors and different shapes and different sizes can make such a stunning effect and it even matches the colors of your home 🙏🏼🙏🏼🌴❤️❤️🏝️🇵🇭🇵🇭🌴🤠
Different kids of lava and basalts are neat. Indonesia has the really colorful lava glass. Lava stalagtites are my favorite. Dip a stick in the molten stuff and pull it up to make stalactites.
I love a beautiful garden and understand very well the love, attention, and effort it takes to create an ambience where people are enveloped/enthralled by the result... Adding to what you're creating are the memories that are behind the stones, the shells, the plants... You can be proud of this artwork and I know it's going to provide ongoing pleasure for years to come... As a kid, some of my fitst paid jobs were taking care of beach properties for older neighbors who couldn't keep their yards or beaches up due to age... It provided some money (not much in today's terms but massive back then haha)... But more importantly, it provided me an education...Interacting with these older people and helping them maintain the artwork they had created was eye-opening... I heard stories of what was back when, learned what was acceptable in behavior in a community, and so much more... Your nieces also have this opportunity, and I have to smile when I see them hanging around learning from the two of you... Local sports is another area where communities are built and supported... Our local high school was a center for celebrating our local sport heroes... We've had more than a few over the decades...Bronko Nagurski (HOF NFL), the Sheehy's (ice hockey), the Constantines (Olympic ice hockey coach), and so many more... Much positivity was instilled into the community and it bore fruit in the many fine citizens that resulted... I love the way you both are a part of creating the same in your home and neighborhood/community... It all starts with that garden, maybe? Who knows... I think you guys are travelling at the moment, but such episodes as this one is timeless... Keep on keeping on....Best wishes until next time! 🙏🙏🙏 👍😎👍
I love it all house garden you and James are building a fabulous place to be proud of for sure you both put a lot of time and effort into it looks great really hope to visit you all when I can home🙏🏼
Melinda your garden and landscaping of the yard is very amazing. You have a natural talent for landscaping and taking care of the plants you have. As my grandma use to tell me you have a natural green thumb. You should landscape my home in Virginia.
Before you flipped that picture over, I thought to myself. Hmm.. some odd taste in art, maybe he likes Vangogh style. Then when you did, I saw the boats on the water at sunset and realized it was actually a nice painting. The other twin gets left at home? Or switch off and on with dinner dates? My wife and daughter when they visited about five years ago brought over a bunch of volleyballs and Ukuleles. She taught them both at a small local school there. Now the school has a little music class and volleyball program. We always make vacations a small mission trip to help improve the lives of others.
She does not stay with us all the time like this twin. She is glued to cell phone full time and gets angry if we ask her to get off it just for minutes.
@@TexasFilipinoKnow how that goes. Got a granddaughter like that. Well, they’ll be the ones to pay in the future when it comes to good memories for hanging out with aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Hi guys, was reading the Iloilo city is a major venue, for fighting roosters,, big money prizes ect. Don't know if any of madam Mel's relatives keep any? Most of family and neighbours, here in Pangasinan are well into them. When my cousin from Germany was visiting last january, he wanted to go and watch his cousins roosters fight. SoI went also.! Found it very boring!! Lol. Wait ages for a fight, that may last less than ten seconds! Naturally is all about the chance to gamble, a not very well known habit of most Filipinos AND Filipinas ( we have card playing every afternoon on our front terrace( even thru the covid lock down! Benefit of being in a small town? Police not bothered!! Lol
Melinda, the way you arranged all those stones is extremely artistic, my hats off to you. I would estimate from what I could see, at least 3 cubic meters of stone. Just sayin
Bawal if sako2 ang kuha mo..in ph a lots of rules but they not implement that rules 😢most of people i seen here they gathered a bunch..but me just a few stone everyday..syempre sa tagal ng ipon ko dumami na😅
