- The GS550 is back in the shop for some final upgrades before it is ready for the road! This time I am installing some new compact turn signals to clean up the looks and ditch the old bulky units! These signals came from Revzilla and are linked below. They are oval in shape and use a traditional filament instead of an LED. Next up on the GS550 is tires so stay tuned!

Hey man this vid is perfect! Thank you for all this insight on this bike! Seeing you quite literally restore everything on this bike inside and out makes me doing it go by so much smoother since I learned from you. Thanks man!
Glad you enjoyed!
You're right, not everything has to be LED. The old school stuff still works pretty well. Thanks for sharing the grounding issue. Grounds are critical in any wiring. Your honesty will be valuable to someone else doing this.
I definitely could have showed more on EXACTLY how to wire it but never thought I'd get hung up on some simple signals lol. Thank you though!
Nice. I did the same, just opposite- extended from the harness instead. That way I can easily change the turn signals.
Same idea but I figured Id avoid cutting the harness for the next potential owner
Thanks for all the Videos Mate! They helped me with one or two issues that I was having with my 500Euro purchase. I have a few videos up just doing the Carbs. one or two to follow. Not half as good as yours!
Well thank you much! Glad they are helpful! 🤘
Just bought shirt, hoodie and sticker pack. Always enjoy your content. Keep em coming.
Dang dude thank you so much!!!🙏🙏 You should see the clothing first with the stickers to follow soon! Ill get them out ASAP!
@@BrickHouseBuilds nah man it’s nothing from one small business owner to another.
darn, I gotta get rid of my Suzuki Burgman 650!! Can´t really change the signallights on it🤣 The GS surely looks sleeker now with the new modifications sofar. Hope you had a great season with it since this vid. is over a year old. A ton of greets from Germany!!!
Thanks Peter! I really enjoyed this bike while I had it. A good friend bought it and rides it all the time so that makes me super happy!
Great video, just one comment, not related to the turn signals, but when you lifted up on the rear fender so easily, I think you can use some new shocks!!! 👍
Glad you liked it
BJ, that turned out beautifully. Nice original example of a classic bike. I'm 59 and it has been years since I have ridden, but I was thinking something like that would be a good bike for me. I'm 5'8 about 200 lbs. Not as strong as I used to be and don't think I would grow out of it.
What type of handle bars did you put on the bike. I heard "Dante classic". Thanks
Thank ya! The bars were from dime city cycles but have been discontinued. Think along the lines of a triumph Daytona bar
those grounds and ground wires can be a head scratcher sometimes.
Yea I definitely jinxed myself when I said it would be simple early on!
I have an 1981 gs750 wondering if you can do a tutorial on the vacuum sealing petcock, and the under the tank vacuum mounted on the underside, also called the fuel sending unit also responsible for the fuel gauge, new to the game would be much appreciated.
Hey Blake, for the petcock those are very easy to rebuild with kits from K&L. Basically clean and replace the diaphragm. I have a video in my Bandit 1200 playlist with a petcock rebuild video. For the vacuum port it simply has a single hose going to the port on the carburetor typically near the intake manifolds or on the side. You can see that example on the first episode of my GS450 Scrambler playlist. The gauge is not related to the petcock at all.
Its a race bike now!!! I heard there was a custom paint job as well....
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wish I kept that painting video beyond a story lol
Trying to track an issue on one of my bikes. Front LH and rear RH not working. Like what the ....... After an hour I checked the bulbs .................. Yeah they were blown 😆😆
Well thats not fun!
Hi, please let me know if you are able to post merchandise to UK .
Hey Richie, shirts/hoodies do ship to the UK but currently I don't have a system to combine orders with hats and stickers across the pond. I can send hats/stickers if you wish but it may take a bit more in shipping than what you see on the website
@@BrickHouseBuilds cheers buddy
Please help me. I need to remove the seat and I dont know how!
There is a lock on the back of the seat
Could have spliced them into the old wires
I could have done many things yes. I used my method in case the next owner wishes to install factory parts. Here is a soldering tutorial I made if you are interested. ua-cam.com/video/NacmAooPoHc/v-deo.html
I’m still confused 😆😆
SAME!
Giving away the Bandit. $800. got to go. Focus on the Nighthawk. My god. fb MP is insane! Alright now. My Nighthawk signals are original but just hanging there. I think the extension is easy peasy. I'll let you know. I'm learning about bikes BJ. I've worked with carburetors many carburetors, but never four in a row. So yea, Who the hell do I think I am that I can take on the cb750 and and and the Suzuki 900? What the f__k? So yea, professor, I get a D minus for the current "learning experience."〰💥〰Not worthy~ from New Hampshire.
good vids, but music way to loud man, compared to you voice.
Tony please give me a specific time in the video you are referring to
Just watched this video again and in no way is the music too loud.
