    Interestingly, it's meant to look like an owl when the face is at 90°. The king of the dark.
    I'm newly acquainted with Wuben and it never ceases to amaze me. Truly an innovation. Great video!

      Thank you! I'm glad you found the owl design fascinating-it's a unique and clever touch. Wuben truly knows how to innovate and impress with their products. Thanks for watching and for the kind words!

    I recommend adding an audio cue when the strobing ends in future videos, so viewers /w epilepsy know when it's safe to look again. LTT does something similar.

      Thanks! Great videos on the Avata 2! I'm still flying the original, but might switch to the 2 for the video quality.

      @@eighty.2 ah thanks for checking them out! So honestly the camera is sooooo good, the HDR and low light performance is totally on par with any of the top action cameras out there. It flies way smoother than the first avata too. I dont think you'd be disappointed with the upgrade. Anyway, ive dropped you a sub! Picking up that X3, great little EDC :)

    that dark green is fire. what a dope flashlight design. I am a wireless charging enjoyer. if only it had magsafe. even has a tip up clip for on hat use. this might be my new EDC. Thanks for the solid video. my only concern is 150 is a big low for high mode. id prefer 200-300 for high. I bet thermal reasons due to small size and polymer case.

    • @eighty.2
      @eighty.2  Місяць тому +1

      Thank you for the comment! Wuben always brings innovative designs to the table. MagSafe compatibility would be a great addition-I tried it out as soon as I got the flashlight. I agree, 150 lumens is on the low side for "high" mode. I mostly use turbo mode, which starts at 700 lumens and steps down to 200 lumens after 30 seconds.
      Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!

      @@eighty.2 im looking for a compact rechargable light for use at work. I am an elevator tech and use my flashlight a lot. I mostly use the o-light baton S2 or whatever. the compact 18650 format with the tip up clip and tail magnet is the perfect light. I mainly use 300 lumen mode for day to day tasks with the light clipped to my hat. a tip up clip is mandatory and for some reason 95% of ;lights have tip down clips. a long run time is also key. I use my light hours a day 5 days a week.

      @@slappomatthew Have you looked into the Boruit V20 yet? It has a similar form factor to the X3 series but with fewer premium features. It's very bright, compact, and more affordable.
      Here's my review on it.

    That lanyard is awesome. The light is just okay. Too many gimmicks. Boruit makes multiple lights with more to offer for a fraction of the price, that don't require a bunch of proprietary accessories.

    • @eighty.2
      @eighty.2  4 місяці тому +3

      Yup, I agree the lanyard is awesome. The Boruit is great as well, but it lacks the build quality of the X3. Boruit is brighter with a lower price point, X3 feels premium with a premium price point. Just glad we have different options.

      Thanks for watching! The Boruit is brighter, but the X3 feels more premium.
      LCD screen is an added bonus but the X3 costs 3 times as much as the Boruit.

    At first I was really hot on this Wuben, the unique features distracted me from the fact that the performance numbers on this light are not good. There are countless options for better performance and those lights have batteries that can be replaced. It does have the wireless charging and the case, but that’s it. You can’t charge this light without having a wireless charger or the charging case. That alone is a deal breaker.
    Overall it’s very attractive initially, but when the honeymoon phase is over it’s really just flashy and lacking in performance as an actual flashlight.

    • @eighty.2
      @eighty.2  3 місяці тому +1

      Great overview! I concur with your assessment. I think where the X3 excels at is the build quality and all the little neat features. The X3 truly shines in its sturdy construction and array of thoughtful features. While the LCD screen adds a nice touch, it's more of a luxury than a necessity. It's puzzling that despite the numerous charging options available, direct flashlight charging isn't among them. Lumen output is decent but not that great.

    One thing i never understand is an indecator light on an flashlight.
    Its a light to tell me that the light is on ? Can you add another level, a indicator light that tells me that the indicator light is on for the flashlight that is on ?
    A waste of battery, resources and space and weight.

    • @eighty.2
      @eighty.2  2 дні тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback! I agree, indicator lights can be a bit much, especially when they stay on and drain the battery. If you’re referring to the blue lights on the side, you can actually turn them off. I’ll make sure to cover more on indicator lights in future reviews.

    • @BoomixDe
      @BoomixDe День тому +1

      @@eighty.2 Yea you can turn them off, but there is no reason for an idicator light to exist. The flashlight is on or off, why do i need a seperate to tell the flashlight is on ? This makes no sense at all to have this. A battery level indicator is somethinf diffrent, a power on/off indicator is the most useless thing ever on a flashlight, you can see if the flashlight is on or off

    • @eighty.2
      @eighty.2  День тому

      @@BoomixDe You're right; I got this flashlight mixed up with another one. I agree that the side lights on the Wuben X3 are pretty pointless. Even if you wanted the indicator, your hand would cover it while using the flashlight. It doesn't serve any real purpose and could have been left out.

      Wireless charging is okay, its not fast charging. But charging with the case or the base is much faster. Zero to full in about 2 hours and 22 mins.

    Who uses Samsung LED? can tell they cheaply skim the most important part, and that's not good

    • @eighty.2
      @eighty.2  4 місяці тому +2

      What should they use? I think in these small form factor flashlights, they need to take into account the heat and power output since the battery is much smaller. With the plastic body the only cooling is the head, in my testing the flashlight didn't heat up that much.
