I have always got questions about neighbourhoods of Calgary. When new immigrants come here they have lot of questions in mind regarding the area to rent or buy house.

You're the best. We are planning to move to Calgary early next year and so confused for the areas to move into. So far NE sounds best but everyone says it has the high crime rate. But pros are the cheaper house prices, desi groceries and restaurants, places of worship and schools. Thanks for the video
North west: near to uni, rocky mountains. Single homes as well as condos
Southwest: downtown. Higher rent. Belt line most primary area
Sour east: industrial hub of calgary . House low price . South part of. SE is away from industry. No public transport.
Northe east: hub for new immigrants near airport. Asian stores. Most rent here and first buy property here. Indians north east best place.

1- Where are located most of businesses in Calgary?
2- As a new comer, shall I live in downtown? (I'll have no car in the beginning lol)
3-What are the best areas to look for when renting? I mean neighborhoods (affordable ones if you know the names)
4-Can you give me some websites for renting? Do you think that I can rent from outside Canada online before coming?

COME TO NW. ROYAL OAK, ROCKY RIDGE, ARBOUR LAKE. THESE NEIGHBOURS HAVE ALL THE SHOPS YOU NEED.

Thanks for this informative video...I still need few info further....we are family of 4 with 2 elementary school kids...planning to travel next month to Calgary...still confused about choosing suitable quadrant and neighborhood to stay...my concerns are schools, medical facility with shopping centre's...pls advise

Thanks for sharing information regarding Calgary. We are family of 02 Adults and 02 kids (4.5 years). We are planning to move Calgary from Toronto. Please advise what would be the approximate rent in North East Calgary for 02 bhk condo or decent 01 bhk condo. Basically we are looking for the region near to school and Indian groceries.

Gurudwara is in North East quadrant and average rent for 2 bedroom condo is around $1200.

Hi Khushboo, How does the school system work in Calgary? Do the kids go to the only school assigned to them depending on the school district of area you live in?
Yes, it works like that but also you can get your child admitted in school in the other area but it's not for sure that your child will get the spot because the first preference is given to the children of those area.

Which area is better for the North East because I heard there is some bad area in the Northeast so what area you recommend in the Northeast
Saddleridge, martindale, savanna, redstone, cornerstone, cityscape, skyview ranch.(these are newer communities and recommended)

Saddleridge and martindale have c train station and rest other communities you have to use bus to reach c train station.
Buses run in all the communities in NE.
