My group has been doing a lot of pre con battles lately we keep a few unaltered ones kicking around and the last 2 years or so have been pretty solid outside slow mana bases.
So, people kept complaining that these decks would be slow and durdly... uuuuh, I think I'm missing something. I think they seem directly at the throat of eachother and with ample ways of just finishing one another off. Definitely worth the price.
Yes, but you're assuming most people will just buy these to play against each other? I think most of the complaints come from them being potentially slow and durdly against other precons or most playgroups.
I mean precons are always good, safe decks. (Safe as in they have a victory condition and can get there consistently). They range from being relatively strong without changing anything to super slow, and even kinda clunky. Maybe that's what people meant. They will always be slower than a deck you build yourself, so long as you've built a few and go in with as much or more budget than the precon you bought, but they're by no means bad.
@@Blacklodge_Willy True, it would depend on what you are running these against. But none of these decks are the durdly kind is what I'm getting at. They all seem to want to just swing out and dunk on people, rather than say... an aristocrat deck. Or a secondary-wincon deck. Sure these are slower than a straight up combo deck, but these really aren't that bad. Hell I bought many precons that seem much slower than these and I paid twice as much; Looking at you, planeswalker commander decks.
@@xxhowisuxx that's the thing with decks you build yourself; They aren't always terribly fast. I like building decks with strong synergies that give me extra value, but without some key pieces, those decks can be terribly slow. Now if you build aristocrats, pillowfort, stax, or mill, those would probably be slow than these by design. These are very straight forward; Put creatures down, turn them sideways. Those decks tend to be rather fast as long as someone doesn't keep clearing the board. Only one I'm a bit more skeptic about is the Gisa and Gerald one.
@@Doofindork Ah yeah in my experience Wizards doesn't generally build decks other than swing out to kill. They might have, at some point, belt a spellslinger deck, but I missed it if they did. I'm pretty sure they had a thassa/merfolk deck at some point tho.

So sad. Atarka, World Render was my first commander deck. And there's so few vids of people playing her. With the new Precon, my hopes of seeing her played skyrocketed... and then she still gets left out! 😭😭
Green: zombie don’t have the brain power to resurrect zombie Lich: I’m sorry but you don’t resurrect zombie you Reanimate them but what do I know I don’t have a brain Lol 😂
I will need the communities help but could you 4 make your version of a 'precon' make a complete deck with what you believe the precon experience should be I think that will be a great video and also educational and attractive to any new players watching
Dang Corey, keep your hands to yourself and out of his face. You’re lucky the birthday boy doesn’t have a short fuse like some of us. So damn immature.
Given that Corey knew about the rakdos charm, there's no way he should have countered the untap anthem from Jeremy. He could have probably negotiated a truce with Jeremy using it to keep his commander alive, taken the loss on the other creature and kept Jeremy as more of a blood back to soak up damage from Jon and Stephen. I love Corey, but he does have a lot of 'new player at the table' energy
I’m guessing he was a 1v1 player before? Since he mentioned the GP finals. Tbh most commander games I play, people are really hesitant to actually play politics so I don’t fault him

Once again, why are you putting music under the games?!
Gotta love when they say "awesome new art" and then the director shows the old art
I was about to type this. :p
Chaos Incarnate has been my deck for a while now. I beat a table of six players last night and I'm upgrading it today.
I also expected a durdly precon stall. It went a lot faster than I thought it would!
My group has been doing a lot of pre con battles lately we keep a few unaltered ones kicking around and the last 2 years or so have been pretty solid outside slow mana bases.
This is exactly why I love goad (and Kardur). It resolves stalls and makes for quick games (which will equal more games).
"If you don't have fresh zombies, store bought is fine." Is T-shirt worthy.
These starter decks are really cool. But it bugs me more than it should that the Emmara deck doesn’t have a spring leaf drum.
That's another fail on wizards part hahaha. I was a little peeved too.
@@moreparmesan5261 it’s not even like it is an expensive card!
Immediate include right away for me, yeah. Also Paradise mantle would have been nice too… but it has to be a “Starter Deck” I guess….
The new Black Fact of Fiction would be good in that deck too

Gisa and Geralf is my favorite deck of all time.
Kardur is a menace on the table, however 10 tokens are also a menace 🤣

LMAO that was amazing.
It’s funny how good stephens gotten at ringing the bell
Realy like the sentence. If you dont have fresh zombies, store bought is fine.
So I started this video and immediately asked, out loud, "why is this so short". I look forward to knowing why.
Gissa and Geralf should of been called a lich for the zombie wizard lore Corey needed.
That was faster than 90% of games in this channel 😂
I had a Emmara deck, it was very fun but than I switched mine to Emiel. I love being able to play a blink/flood deck in Selesnya colours :P
Happy belated Birthday Stephen! Mine is on December 17th so I feel your pain about it being close to Christmas!
Good game! The decks performed really well. Can't wait for the next game guys!
Spoiler I guess
Kardur is the CEO of getting second place in commander
As a resident Kardur enthusiasts, I frequently tell people that I am playing for second place, that is why it is called "Rak-Dos"
Happy birthday Steven!!!
That's what we call a quickie 😆😆
Stephen is a capricorn😍!! Now I understand why I vibe with him😎
HAPPY belated Birthday Green 🎂
Happy late Bday Steven
John "Golden Goad" Suarez. Never forget.
Good video. Definitely need to use these a season opener.
Kardur is too good against the other precons. Knew that before watching this vid
I just noticed that the little command zone mat's colors are mismatched to the seats and now I can't unsee it.
The Ole switcheroo
"Whatcha cooking over there john?
Instants and or sorcereries
That's not chicken...
I wish it was"
😂😂😂

That's on me as I was last to pick, honestly thought the double strike part would be too good in relation to the other decks
@stephengreen1887 Hopefully one day I'll get to see Atarka, World Render smashing through on Commander Vs.
I love these videos.

Is there any update on what's going on with Justin parnell or did I miss it
He has his own UA-cam channel but will not be returning to commander vs
@@ThePottuk I'll have to look for it that's sad to hear can't believe only Jon and Stephen are left of the original four

Do Stephen Green and I have the same birthday? Lol anyways, I bought these decks and oh my, a lot of fun
We’re you guys trolling about the prairie stream? I’m so confused lol
They wer trying to convince Jeremy that he could only do it with 2 basics like a slow land
Wait how does lifelink go around rakdos charm??
The creature deals the damage (to its controller), not the charm.
Lifelink gains you life when the creature deals any kind of damage, not just combat damage
@@gaebril131 OH ok I thought it was just normal combat damage damn I could of won with Vito the other day :(
Just remember that "target player loses X life" is NOT damage so Vito's first ability still isn't affected by lifelink
I loved the decks, but I don't know if a 30 min episode helps illustrate they are balanced
If after kardur is played and creature with haste is played they are goaded
Yes kardur effects the player’s combat step not the creatures per se
Fast game
Dang, short episode
fastest game on Commander VS?
What video is this frim
EACH creature deals 1 damage to it's controler - that includes YOU as well mr. Suarez...
Why you always gotta be cheating like that...
Mh balanced 🤷♂️
Too bad these are getting up sold
Not even a 30 minute game. Come on guys...shuffle up for another one.

Why are you continuing to put music under the games? I have told you numerous times to stop f'n doing this.
