The best from Penang specifically is prawn mee, asam laksa, and char kuey teow. But Malaysians typically love nasi lemak, nasi kandar, nasi briyani, ice kacang, cendol, satay, char kuey teow, bak kut teh, rojak, durian cendol, lok lok, braised, roasted or BBQ pork (char siew), apam balik, onde onde, curry puff, bakkwa and many more across the nation. Durian is considered the king of fruit in Malaysia and so we have it in all kinds of ways. 😛😹🥣🍜🥢🍴

I watched 2 of your videos, very good content. If you're back to Malaysia to try for more, you should try:
    1) Bak Kut Teh - Herbal pork soup serve with rice (found good in Klang Valley)
    2) Claypot chicken rice (Any where typically KL you can find it)
    3) Fried Hokian Noodles - different than the ones you tried at Penang (try to find the ones cooked with charcoal wood fire)
    4) Pork Satay (especially in Melacca)
    5) Nyonya Laksa (another type of curry noodles, you can find it in Melacca)
    6) Hainanese Chicken Rice (poarch chicken serve with rice & soup, some with roasted chicken)
    7) Mee Rojak (Rojak with yellow noodles)
    8) Dim Sum (variety of small bites)
    9) Chee Cheong Fun (especially in Ipoh)
    10) Many More (pork noodles, Chinese Restaurant - variety fried noodles / dishes, Indian Restaurant - nasi briyani / tikka, chicken curry puffs, lala chien, etc.)
I think you're having a great time in Malaysia, I hope this helps. Thanks for showing the beauty of Malaysia to the world.

Hi Tah and Jimmy, I just came across your UA-cam and glad you guys enjoyed all those great street food in Penang! I’m a fellow Malaysian living in the U.S. and enjoy traveling and eating too. Keep up the good work. I’m surprised that Tah never had satay or Kway Teow T’ng before as these 2 dishes are just as famous in Thailand although slightly different in taste.
