The Barkays were apart of my life from day one, thanks to mom with her 45 of Soul Finger and then when getting into my teens it was all over after that, the hits just kept going with songs like holy ghost, shine, move your boogie body, anticipation etc. Great memories
I remember the song Holy Ghost. It was so hard-hitting and funky. Bar-Kays was a unique band with some serious horns that rivaled EWF and Tower of Power. Good job

@@yoshluv7 My favorite Isaac Hayes album is Hot Buttered Soul, the cuts “One Woman” and “Walk On By” never get tired for me.

@@Susan-ek2sv I enjoyed the process and discovery when putting this video together.

Soul Finger was THE dance hit in summer/autumn of 1967.

@@wallaceWellons-l3i They were one of the dopest acts out there when it came to funk and R&B music in the 1970s.
Great that you know all the names. Most do not. Thanks for the post and information.
And my moms had all of Isaac Hayes albums!!!!!
@@yoshluv7 Isaac Hayes was definitely a vibe for my generation.
Wow! I had no idea Otis Redding was in that fatal flight with the group. What a great loss!
@@MeMe777e I did not realize that either.
Well said!
