One way to firm up those wheels would be to turn those skid shoes around backward, so the shoe part is facing in, then mount the wheel to the center hole over the skid shoe, that way the shoe won't rub against the new wheel and the body of the shoe will help to stiffen up the side of the housing. BTW, thanks for the link.
I have been enjoying the mods to the old 917 project. I am guessing you didn’t get much snow ☹️ as I wasn’t able to see it in action. Hope the belt you ordered did the trick 👍
The belt did end up doing the trick. And yea we didn't get much snow, I only had to use the blow three times this year and each time it was only an inch or two and was hoping to get more that would be more worthwhile to film. Hopefully this winter I can use it more and get a video of it in action.
Hi there, thanks for your video it is what i really needed, just have a question how did you make the two brackets the makes it to lift? can you give me the dimensions please

Did the blower drop down over bumps? Are the new brackets to short? How much shorter are they?
Have that exact blower with electric lift, available for sale in Wisconsin
I'm not sure if it is a thing. But you might want to flip the tire chains inside out. They could rub the tires on the ends.
love the videos, just got a 917 mower a few weeks ago now it runs and mows, would love to get a setup like this for mine just cant seem to find one
Now all you need is a cab. Also on your left chains the cross chains open ends should be facing out.
Though about the cab, but I actually prefer it without

@@TwoFourSevenDIY Like most things you were prepared and that’s why you didn’t see much snow 🤪

Well I just made them the same as the existing ones only about 1/2" shorter
What were the items that you used to anchor the zip ties on top of the blower shell?
Push in style zip ties:

Why not modify / make a “step” to fit your block ? You could then just set it in and your done?
Yea I mean there's probably any number of ways I could have gone about it, my way was just the first I came up with
