I wish all the UA-cam videographers would learn from you how to do instructional videos. You are by far one of the best!

What I truly enjoy about your videos is you’re very thorough a lot like Tyrel fixes all or Chickcanic. No annoying music blaring in the background or you’re not shaking the camera. Your videos truly are great and thank you so much for them.

Thank you for the great explainer video. I watched it, then fixed my machine without issue!! $25 ring and 45min of my time, and that was being very thorough with the cleaning and re-greasing. My blower is as strong now as it was new! Thank you 👍

Didn’t realize your vd here is 8 years old but your instructional vd is by far one of the best; very thorough and step by step is very clear.

WOW -- nicely done. I've watched a few other videos but you do a more thorough and easily understood explanation of the procedure than some others. I see that the Craftsman blower had trigger releases for the wheels to aid in turning like my Husqvarna blower. I'll look at your other videos to see if there's any maintenance or adjustment needed for them either externally or while the bottom cover is off.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video! Luckily it was just the shear bolt, other than the friction wheel, helps you familiarize yourself if you don't do repairs on snowblowers everyday! Thanks again!!!

Good one. I always scuff up the driven plate a bit with coarse sand paper to remove the glaze. Sand like hands of a clock. Radially. Lucky those wheels came off so easily. I had to hang a Toro by one wheel from the rafters and beat the axle out of it. Weight of Snowblower helps, as does air chisel and several days of WD 40 on interface.

I love your channel Dony, and I want to thank you for your videos (great Respect for you). With the help of you I repaired my Craftsman snowblower, B&S engine, my friend's Husqvarna snowblower and I know what I mast doing with the problems of the small tekniks. You are very good specialist, because you can to say about everything by the very ease words. Thank you very march. ( I so sorry of my bad English) .

Hey, very well done video's here. I'm a mechanical engineer and was still scratching my head with how to approach the disk replacement on my Craftsman. ( Drive went in the Blizzard of 2013). This gives me the info I need to dive right in. Thanks MUCH!

I haven't come across one of these more modern Craftsmans, but it looks like a well made machine. Much more elaborate than the 80s/90s Craftsman that are so common. Thanks for the good info, as always Dony.

My Craftsman snowblower runs good, but once it stops, I can never get it started again until the following day, this has happened to me twice already....any suggestions, any idea would be appreciated, thanks.

I have a Craftsman 9hp 28" snow thrower model 247.88790 (belly pan Model:31ae5htg799). I've been watching videos however I've not seen this model. I bought this new in the early 2000's. This unit needs a new friction wheel rubber. How do I get the ball bearing out to move the shaft over? Do I need to replace the whole friction wheel assembly.?

Quick question, I haven't done proper maintenance on my Craftman blower over the past five years other than regular oil changes. The other day when I went out to use the blower I found that I now only have one gear. The speed now is fast only, like transportation gear.
Would this procedure fix my issue?

I just picked up one this very same snowblower for around $100 Canadian. It's in mint condition but was wondering what you thought about these blowers...any issues I need to worry about?
. I've just rebuilt my 17 year old Murray which will become my back up blower but it was easier to operate .
We've only had one snowfall so maybe it's too early to judge but it's going to take some getting used to.
Thank you for your informative videos . ..there fantastic.

Thanks for sharing another awesome tutorial! You're Craftsman snowblower appears to be just like my Husqvarna 10527STE. I'm getting ready to install a new rubber friction ring along with changing out my belts. I thought I'd look up my wheel shift lever (part number 532184080) as shown at 1:34 in case it needs replacing. Upon doing so, I found out that it's been discontinued. I've been searching for a replacement without any luck in finding one. Do you know if there is a replacement anywhere that's aftermarket? Thanks again and Happy Holidays!! 👍😊

i had to replace the return springs for the auger and drive clutch (for some reason they both were broken). I'm still waiting for the parts to be delivered to me, but my question is: do i need to lucubrate the chains in there at all while I'm in there? they don't look bad to me, could i just spray a little liquid wrench white lithium grease on them or should i not do that for some reason? ... I have a bad problem I was trying to snowblow 7 inches of show with my 2010 ariens 12hp 26 inch blower and ran over a thine rope it wrapped around the right side and pulled the auger out of the bearing . How can I put it back in the Bearing? I do not know if I have to just remove the left side to loosen the auger to put the right side back in. I looked at the plastic bearing and
it looks cracked . It is a plastic bearing in a metal holder held in with 3 screws.

so i just got a cub cadet 3x snow blower and the friction plate slips SOMETIMES! i also have a craftsman snow blower that also slips, they are both fairly new. Do you think that the only reason why it is slipping is the fact that snow is getting into the insides of the drive system? or do i need to claim warranty to get the ring changed? Thanks!

    • @carlcap14911
      @carlcap14911 7 років тому

Not only does the engine need to have gas going through it, but there must be oil in the engine and spark to make it ignite and finally, it needs to have air along with, gas, mixture to make the engine run. If you have all of these ingredients, it should run. I forgot to mention, it needs to have compression.
