You’re exactly right. I have a 2000 ALH Jetta TDI with 3400000 miles and after multiple upper intake carbon cleanings, I finally removed the EGR and disconnected the crank vent from the intake. I had actually installed a drain plug in my intercooler to drain out the oil with every oil change. I’ll likely add a Provent to that car eventually. I just bought this kit for my new Colorado and I’m here to see the install! Lol
I will ask the question that has not been answered yet.....what happened to that sensor or heater or whatever it is???? Does it go back on where it was and the new hose goes into it????
I'm considering this for my 2019 with a GDE tune. The answer is "it might". You would be wise to remove it before taking it to the dealer for service. I'm only willing to do it now since my 3/36 warranty has expired.

I'm trying to find the sensor that goes to the stock hose.. any help can find the hose all day not the sensor..

Good catch Ross! The Diesel Brothers said it best when they noted that building/fixing cars and shooting videos are two VERY different things.
