People have been crapping on this game solely due to the microtransaction scandal, but honestly, it’s one of the best RPGs I have played in a long long time.
It's a step down from the first game limiting each class to one weapon..the first game gave players dual weapon like bows and daggers and combat was more deep

If your havingn trouble remembering go to map gini they have a dragons dogma 2 map that show a bunch of the seekers tokens and if you remember getting one around the start of the game you can focus on those ones.
I got lucky and mine was my first guess, the pawn guild roof.

@@MikeG.666because there’s a riddle from the sphinx in the game that tells you to go back to where you got your first seeker token. So you have to remember where you got the first one. Majority of us ready forgot because we had no idea that we had to remember such a thing. Lol
Another tip. If you don’t want your food to spoil after a few days store them in your chest. This stops the spoil timer until you put them back in your inventory.
One clarification on the dragon's plague based on what others are saying. If you kill your main pawn and revive him/her at a riftstone, they will be clensed. If you kill a support pawn, they will just be sent back to their masters world, plague in hand. Do not rehire them.
I'm noticing the plague starts to become more common around the level 35 range when people start fighting Drakes.
It's an interesting system, it forces you to swap out for new pawns. But the risk is super high

So, for anyone struggling with the sphinx trial for your first seeker token, you can use the detection augment from the trickster to also find the token for the sphinx. Should make back tracking and looking for your first one a bit easier when there is a sound/visual queue for it.
Can just track the quest and go to the Seer in Vernworth. She will mark the token

@@IHMyselfsince it spawns an item similar to seeker token it will give the notification. I used it for my own.
Something to note about pawn inclinations. Is that there is a hard and soft aggro table to the games enemies. Taunts and being a specific gender/size for certain mobs. Are the only ways of generating hard aggro on a target. And that is always temporary (ogres will stop slobbering females after you do enough damage to one). The soft aggro is based on damage done. This is where the hidden values of inclinations come in. A calm pawn fighter will use taunt regularly to set hard aggro. But it won't consistently use offensive abilities to build and maintain soft aggro. The calm inclination also causes the pawn to delay engaging enemies. Which means that other party members (or yourself) will pull soft aggro when engaging them. And the pawn is less likely to be in proximity to taunt off you unless you choose to stand next to them all the time. Where you run the same fighter with straight forward. They will use their defensive skills and even block function less. In favor of attacking and dealing damage. Meaning theyll take more damage and generate more soft threat. But also, they will not use their taunt to generate hard threat as often.
This scenario has similar impact on vocations centered around dealing damage. Putting straightforward on a thief or ranger seems like a good idea. As they do really good damage. But it also means that they will generate soft threat constantly. And will then take aggro and could be killed, crowd controlled, or go through lots of curatives staying alive. But, if you put calm on a ranger, specifically. They wont start shooting enemies the moment they come into range. They will wait till you engage first. They will also delay between using offensive skills. Which keeps their soft threat at manageable levels. So its easier to keep enemy attention on your melee party members. Which is particularly good when facing a boss. As rangers are less likely to have bosses tackling and standing on top of them. So they can continue shooting weak points and doing damage consistently over the fight while less likely to take damage. There's more nuance to inclinations than most people realize.
Also, i wanted to point out. Aged foods can be turned into dried foods. And then combined with herbs to make really good curatives that dont spoil. Which can then be further upgraded with some choice monster enhancement parts (like saurian tail). These superior curatives are also lighter than the vials of healing potions you typically make with greenwarish. And dont toss the foods that turn rotten. You can combine different types to create oil for your lantern or tarring arrows. Which, tarring arrow + explosive arrow is the highest total damage combo in the game. Other than charged abilities or weak spot hits. It will also cause enemies to panic for a bit when lit on fire. Which is a very unique function and special form of crowd control. So, dont be afraid to hold onto food or get upset if they rot due to negligence. Everything but withered flowers, have a use.
I'm glad inclinations are simpler now in DD2 then in the first game so far I use calm for my mage/sorc and it works as I thought it would they stay back and cast defensive spells and buffs first then offensive spells and since they are not too aggressive they tend to not get focused by enemies and bosses allowing them to do their job.
Thanks for the info. Been looking for for what skills would be the best to run on my archer pawn. I’ve been running between eruption and incendiary arrow. May try to run both. Just afraid it’s going to confuse the AI
@@valtchuz2658I will fully admit, that if you are using calm on your archer. Don't expect it to do both incendiary and eruption back-to-back. As the inclination causes it to space out skill usage. Better to run tarring and have a mage/sorc cast fire enchant if you're playing any physical damage dealer. As you can trigger the arrow yourself. Or, if running mage/sorc, cast an offensive fire spell on it. Thief can trigger it with the one fire effect skill (forgot the name).
Only take both arrow skill types if playing archer yourself. And not when you'll be fighting around water or a resistant enemy, of course.
@@keldor8302 That is what I normally do. I like tarring shot a lot. Still trying to figure out what other skills I like the best with her.
I noticed if I had 2 stationary skills they would constantly be back and fourth. Then end up just using a quicker skill. Probably keeping incendiary or eruption depending on what I’m fighting. Then Between deathly arrow or tempest shot for stationary. ( Want something with good damage or knock down potential) The other 2 will be mobile ones.
Heavenly shot was another I was looking at. It seems cool in theory just like great gamble did but seemed awful in practice.

This game is great. So happy I ignored the gripe... I can't wait to play more. Glad I got it on PS5 tho.

Running fine on my 3900X / 3080 Ti machine. It's a little low FPS in some of the cities, but nothing major. I capped it at 60FPS, though. I can get 75FPS out in the world, but it was dropping down to 60 during combat anyway, so I just kept it at that. In the the capital, I get about 30-40FPS. Which isn't a huge deal to me because I'm just dealing with NPCs anyway.

the one time i hopped on a griffin it flew away for 5 minutes and had a heart attack over the ocean.
I was not amused until i remembered the Arisen is the only one that doesnt die to the Brine. My homie Pawn that was glued to its leg the entire time and somehow never ran out of stamina wasnt so lucky tho
It is funny that no one has said that if you heal the undead, they take a shitload of damage.
Healer pawn can say that (or maybe any class pawn, but in my case it was mage healer).
7:28 DON'T SELL GEMS IF YOU'RE A MAGIC VOCATION. They are used to upgrade mage/sorcerer equipment
I've sold so many already, haven't needed them so far though and I play mainly all ranged vocations but I'll definitely start saving them now.
Dude I am so glad that your first seekers token was mine as well xD I couldn't find it anymore but I knew exactly how the place looked, I just was pretty sure that I found it earlier in the game... I had to check your minimap in order to find the location on my save xD
The sundial tip was the best!!! I was always looking up in the sky
I was so annoyed there was no 'clock' in the game - it was staring me in the face the whole time 🤪
Pro tip: if you are finding the game difficult, go warrior, find the big hammer and bonk your way to victory
Make sure you have a mage to heal too.
Also use lunge for movement as you can traverse hald the map with one stamina bar. Not kidding you can travel a lot with lunge. It stays active until yout stamina runs out and it consumes way less Stam than running.
wrong go thief and use feint you are unstoppable
Warrior are sorcerer got such a glow up in this game. I don't care about ranger/thief anymore Warscerer is fantastic
Warrior was so boring to me ngl. Thief and mystic spearhand are both capable of being invincible very easily and deal tons of damage
With the forager bit at the beginning, you can actually get it from a different NPC where you investigate the hidden village.
What is this hidden village? The nameless one? I did not get the forager tome because I've progressed too much now with the side quests.
@@CFNikosT Yep, the nameless village is the one I was talking about. You can get forager when you complete the mission there. Just be sure to exhaust the dialogue for the leader there.
For those of you just starting a new game I recommend exploring the area around the small outpost in the beginning of the game. There is a statue nearby where Beren makes camp. At the base as a token. It was my first token and I was able to remember it. Hopefully that will make it easier for you guys to remember your first token.
Important npcs should ressurrect after a week or so after a dragon plague incident.
Just stop fighting dragon
Here is my pro strat on how i never had an issue with dragon plague:
> get in fight with a dragon
> get absolutely demolished
> load save
> avoid the dragon this time
> ???
> profit

you can also get the elite camping kit from the volcano hot springs shop in case you missed it or it got destroyed.
Regarding the locked house by the fields.
The correct entrance is actually under the bridge you cross to just before. There are boxes in front of the entrance. Destroy them and you will see a tunnel with a few bandits and come chests.
i kid you not someone actually gifted my pawn eternal wakestone. i was speechless when i saw it.
The person probably saved the game to the cloud beforehand, then gave your pawn a wake stone, and then after dismissing your pawn, they re-download the save from a few minutes prior

@oompaloompadoompa-de-doo3614 Yeah, I used that method I described a few time in other games. It's simple and doesn't require any type of jailbroken pc or console or cheats engines.
Dont forget the Augment from Mage to increase Stamina regeneration to go along with the Athleticism and whatever the Archer one is called
For tip 6 you only get the tutorial screen the first time it happens so you need to check for the actual signs (pawn will start questioning you and hold head)
So glad I ignored the negative reviews. I’m not even a big RPG guy but I’m absolutely loving this game! Hopefully they continue to update and add more to the game

My first token was in the fountain in vernworth. It was perfect as i could ferrystone right to it and easy to remember.

reason why i never bothered with the seeker stone rewards is the fact the rewards i actually want from it require so damned many of them theres a high chance i no longer need the item thats offered. By the time I get 250 seeker stones i most likely will already have all my vocations maxed out so i dont understand the point.
your missing the item from top of palace tower you get a lantern looking thing that shows you shards on map when you use it they randomly spawn around map at random times this item helps find them 👍🙂
funny thing i didnt even take into consideration when playing, when it Rains make sure to carry a Weapon with the Ice Element as well as a Mage with Lightning Incantation, im playing as Thief which is still as busted as DD1, the fast attack speed lets you apply the Ice or any effect really a lot to the point i froze a dragon i was fighting 4-5 times and it couldnt even get 1 melee swing off or an incantation, also Archer is insane with Explosive Arrows early on, you can 2-6 shot Cyclopes, Gryphons, Trolls, Dragons are a little tricky since you need to hit the heart to do big damage.
Yep, or just hire Sorcs with the ice spells. They will freeze Drakes and everything else constantly
you can also duplicate the elite camping gear at the forger in the town to have a back up if it does break for 3600 gold, and it counts as a genuine item not a forgery.
Man, I'm so glad that I watched a video about what is exclamation mark in my map that turns out it's a seeker's token and the next video I watched is Sphinx video, lol. I saw the comment section frustrating about their first seeker's token and I immediately mark my current location as number V so I could remember it if I ever go to the Sphinx.
I love how the video started off as "mistakes" but eventually devolved into general tips and nothing that would be considered problematic or in need of a fix.

tip for the castle, wear courtly gear and you won't be bothered by gueards except one at the main castle gate so use a side entrance
I got a straightforward fighter he doesnt use his launch skill when I ask but he sure is helpful in fights.
if it's not equipped in his skill slot he probably not gonna use it.
My fighter with that personality is always bothering the enemies and knocking them down.

Its always good to keep magic books on you for locked doors if they are window based it destroys them

If enemies respawn/dungeons get refilled with enemies, I hope the chests and loot also gets refilled. Like respawning enemies, it helps to make exploring more fun, maybe you get lucky this time with equipment or loot you wanted to find. It keeps the world alive. If the enemy respawns but the loot doesn't, you end up rushing through the dungeon. If the loot respawns as well, you have a reason to search all the crates again and earn a profit. Especially useful if you accidentally sold a rare/unique item.
I know in DD1 the chests also respawned, but I can't confirm for DD2
chests do not respawn unless you go into ng+.
Pretty much all enemies respawn however.
for tip 11, I just grabbed a wooden barrel next to it, and jumped on the barrel to shoot the lock. Then realized you could get in by the river lmao.
That trickster augment is GOATED
The best inclination is by far simple. I never have to pick up any loot ever. They even pick up the beetles.
These are really helpful!
For the 12th tip, if you know you're gonna face one of these, use Mystic spearhand, get up to the 1st level charge on redoubted bolt to slow them, then they're vulnerable to your throwing skill, they'll get ragdolled and so long as they don't manage to get up, you can just spam them into a certain direction against a wall, off a cliff or simply keep doing it to get a heavy attack finisher in.
Had no idea that the Camping Kits were reused & it makes so much more sense now. Wow...

I don’t remember where I found my first Seekers Token, I think I screenshotted all the ones I have so far. Hopefully I’m able to do the that quest.
If all else fails do it in ng+ and remember I don't remember mine but I know it was within the first area and there's a map of the starting ones revisit the starting ones to find it
The quests continue on as usual if u don't remember where the token is, you just won't get the items from the chest which are 3 ferrystones. After all 5 riddles she will move to another spot.

In regards to the jadeite orb
When he goes to check the authenticity you can after he's given the orb to scrapper then bribe the scrapper to lie. You have to do it repeatedly (costing approx 10k in total) for him to agree
Can other pawns cause the dragonsplauge wipe out in your game too? or is that only tied to your pawn specifically? So basically do I need to keep an eye on all 3 pawns or just mine?
I haven't seen anyone mention it but you can do a forgery of the eternal wakestone. I made a handful. They 100% work. Makes the dragonplague not too big a deal.
I'm loving this game! Just beat the unmoored world, and now I'm going back through on new game plus to max all my vocations and discover everything I missed the first time!
I messed up on the spinx puzzle where you had to find a person that matched a spirit image and I brought what look like a brother Capcom really put 2 people that looks exactly alike other than a few missing teeth and hair texture
1st seekers token for me is in the base camp ontop of the roof of where the forge is.
To go with tip #8 with the orb, you can also bribe the scrap vendor like 12,000 gold to look the other way if you give everand the fake one. It’s actually funny that they thought it out. Ironically you get 12,000 for the quest so you break even after all that lol

thanks for the tip about the time of day, never noticed that, actually think it should be explained in game.. there has been several times where i'm thinking, ok i'm going for a bit of a long trip, should i start now and hope i make it before night fall or should i rest... now i know how to tell.
"a medusa" (in game) annoys me, Medusa is a name, it's not a creature, Medusa was a Gorgon, she had two sisters in Greek mythology. it would be like calling all skeletons steve, or all ogres marge (large marge)... granted as a nickname, i could deal with calling all cyclops "blinky" i think they are the only ones if you hit em in the eye they hold their eye.
actually if a cyclops closes it's one eye briefly, is that a blink or a wink??
The jadeorb you can give the fake one to either and then if you want go talk to the forger and you can bribe him to tell the people that’s having it checked to tell them it is real (even tho it’s fake). I gave the original guy the real one since he asked and the second guy who randomly asked I gave him the fake one then bribed the forger. I still got the elite camping kit
After giving the forgery one to the rude peddler, when he ask me to follow him to check its authenticity I just ran away and still complete the quest 😂
Also enjoying the game it’s great I never played DD but this is a treat. Kinda gives me lord of the rings vibes with the whole adventure with yourfriend group.
as a note in NG+ the seeker tokens carry over if you want/need to reset these tokens to know your first, One would have to start a completely new game.
The tokens do carry over that you already collected, but in NG+ the finder token will be placed at whichever token you find first in NG+. I just did the sphinx questline for the achievement in my NG+. Even though I already had like 70 tokens, I took note of where my first one I grabbed in the new run was, and thats where my finder token was placed.

The only experience I've had with dragonsplague was the pawn that was infected was just permanently poisoned and taking damage even in cities far after any combat and they had a purple/red flame aura around them so I just yeeted the pawn off the bridge in Verworth and picked a new one lol
That means they had the Blighted debilitation and that's just how it works. You have to give them a curative to get rid of it. If a pawn looks purple that means blighted. It gives a tutorial pop up the first time it happens

I was in one of the villages where I had two quests pending. So while I was waiting for time to pass for one of them to show up, I am like - let's throw the npcs off the cliff and see what happens. And then unbeknownst to me, I accidentally threw off the NPC for the 2nd quest and had to reset to the inn save >w> karmic justice I would say.
When you kill a NPC they just show in the morgue and you can revive them with a wakestone. My game wasn't progressing during my first playthrough and I found the captain the morgue. He must have died when the dragon attacked the city. So always check the morgue if an NPC isn't spawning.
You can make forgeries of the eternal wake stone and they are the genuine thing, however it’ll cost 30k which is still better than having to deal with an entire town being wiped out
Do you have any tips for the cyclopean bridge achievement? I messed mine up and they still havent respawned in their locations after multiple weeks
Somehow I remembered my first token perfectly best einis house on the dragon statute it was the first one I encountered and I spent 10 minutes just seeing if it was interactable at all or if I had to climb on top using springboard and the first token I found was also there. Easiest of the riddles.
Once you get detection augment, you can find the first seeker token location since it becomes an item called first token
Calm thief is actually good tested out the different thiefs calm simple and straightforward. Calm ones will actually use cloak/stealth and smokebomb like your suppose to use it! Give them improved ensnare as well they are constantly stealth killing and pulling enemies into finishers. They are good at tactics taking out enemies fast. And staying safe while doing it. Straightforward is just go go go thief they go crazy

Holly crap. I'm level 50 but have not completed the game, but rarely camp, but never knew you can cook.
But then again, I always have a mage to heal me.
Good thing I kinda remember where I found my first seekers items.
Since you have played 200h, can you say what you did to keep the game from becoming boring? I love the game but I am afraid of the lack of endgame and easy ng+.
What did you do to avoid the game being way too easy? Asking to other people who have played a lot as well.
There IS an endgame though, it's just a bit specific on how you trigger it VS rolling the credits immediately
Yep, you don't hit dragons dogma 2 untill you get to endgame. Check that title screen.
on which person to give the fake jadeite orb to, i actually did it the other way around... gave the fake one to the shadier guy (Everard?), then he said he was going to have it checked, i thought it was really interesting.. but he walks away, gave me a chance to bribe the guy checking it to say it is real. not sure what happens if you don't bribe him, or not enough. but i spent 6000 on bribes to the merchant, and got 11,000+ as a reward, so i still gained money, and experience.
i heard someone mention that the shady guy eventually killed the other one when they played, so they had no choice who to give the orb to.
seems like a rather interesting little quest with a few possible outcomes.
If you don't bribe the forger the guards will agro on you and you have to run away
But it you come back they'll have forgotten about it
I found a finders token in a chest which I don’t think was supposed to happen.😂 So I just turned that in to the sphinx right away.
About the plague you just need to check pawns behaviors before you sleep and do it also right after.
So I just realized that I hire on whit the clowing eyes I. Tough it look cool lol at that time I was entering the desert area so two ciclops kill I'm and I leave her behind so she did have the dragons plage uff lucky me for leaving her behind 😅😅😅😅

Also you can duplicate the eternal wakestone in the checkpoint rest town and it will work properly. Keep duping it and dont worry about dragonsplague
Another really good augment for stamina is zeal from the warfarer vocation.

You can ask a friend to do a Finders Token Forgery. It works for the Sphinx as well.

Go back, she'll be disappointed and you won't get the reward for that riddle. She flies away. Track her to her new spot and voila, prepare for riddles 6-10

Any thing magic have elves upgrade for physical every every where else beastren and dwarve upgrades will add weight while elven and the other will decrease weight.
You can also forge the elite camping kit and it’s the same product

Camp set dont get consumed? Do you have to rest or can you just build them to cook meat and walk away?
How do you put your camp back in your pack ?
After sleeping in them it will go back on your character

I forgot the first Token I got, and had only found it after not turning it in. Now I have a Finder's Token and don't know what to do with it lol
P.S. The Mage has an ability that helps with Stamina recovery, which would further help with Stamina management.

I dont know if this has been mentioned, but you can the eternal wakestones forged at the item forger, ive got like 4 sitting in my chest, i havnt used any yet so im not sure if they're an exact copy or not
With regards pawn quests and making money, we should have like a list of players with their pawn ids somewhere, then we can have like a pawn quest to turn in 1 arrow in exchange for 10k gold or x onyx stones.... Then we can simply just search for that pawn, give him the arrow and rinse and repeat
So far as I can tell you can only do a pawns quest once even if you release and rehire them unless creater resets quest. Also when you find rift stones they are all themed and you can go to the main rift stone a call pawns based on those themes and one them is pawns with quests.
@@kidcoyoteanarchy Yes, thats correct, all you need to do is reset the requested item, you sdont need to reset the full quest, just change the item
In Trevo mines after first clear you will see hobgoblins not ogres - ogres are those big, hairy creatures which can use drop kick on you. :D

It’s a LOT cheaper to buy “The Art of Metamorphosis” and use that to change the inclination. Only 500 RCs as apposed to 2,000.
