The attack rate on camping is actually not RNG like a lot of people think. It's based on whether there are any enemies nearby. If you do a quick sweep of the area directly surrounding the campsite before camping, you'll never be attacked and never lose your supplies.
Can confirm, I always clear the area and I've been attacked only once in 90 hours of playtime. And this one time was when I might have missed a single enemy hiding somewhere.
put all your heavy mats on a hired pawn, dismiss/brine them and hire a new one, their stuff goes to your storage automatically. Do this next to a rift stone for maximum efficiency
People are free to treat pawns as they like of course, but other than those inflicted with Dragon plague I always dismiss a pawn and give a valuable or at least useful gift and usually a thumbs up, because I want mine to be treated well so I do the same to others.
FYI: Press square to put a whole stack and even multiple things at once from your inventory to your bank. I see to many people manually choosing the number of their mats to put away.

Great tips Cas without being spoiler heavy! Sadly many of these won't immediately occur to people and they can go many hours suffering when they don't need to.
Love the "how to make this game fun" videos. For the record I kinda like the game but its bad design if the player is forced to go through a checklist of stuff to make the game fun to play. Like just add fast travel, they did it in elden ring and guess what, it was good game, and I explored the world a lot because it was FUN to do it. If your world is fun, you don't need to worry about people fast traveling too much. My god. Game design has come a long way since dd1 and that is a GOOD thing.
Another augment worth getting is Athleticism as it reduces your stamina depletion while sprinting. Combine this with light or very light weight, exaltation, and the stamina regen ring and you’ll have quite a bit more sprint uptime when traveling. Not related to stamina but another great tip is that some of the first fighter and mage augments (I forgot their names rn) give you a good amount of DR to physical and magic attacks so it’s worth getting at least rank 2 or 3 on each of those vocations. One last tip is that, like DD1, this game is about knocking enemies down and not getting knocked down yourself so the sorc augment constancy will boost your resistance to knockdown and the warrior’s dominance augment will boost your own knockdown power. I consider these quite competitive especially on the martial vocations.
Good call, I was accompanying him on a quest far to the west when a griffin swooped in. I jumped on its back and it carried me halfway across the map. I completely lost Glyndwr and haven't been able to find him...
Also check hot springs near the end of the game... Sara the dwarven blacksmith was nowhere to be found, turns out she was the highest affinity noc and thus turned out in the springs. Grabbed her, teleported back to bakbattal and made her resume her job.
One thing I do to minimize the travel annoyance is pre-plan my questing. For example if I have multiple quests that bring me from check point rest town down to Battahl I will hit all of them in one trip down then if I need to go back to checkpoint I can just ox cart. Kind of obvious but not having to run to the same area multiple times is nice
I thought these were more game breaking things to do than tips for efficiency. XD Totally expecting something like "raise affinity of the entire Vernworth so there's always a massive brawl outside your home" type suggestions. LOOOL OH seriously though, do it. Get the affinity of a bagillion people in towns up and it's chaos at it's finest! >:)
Not exactly a mechanical change but if you want a more immersive experience I recommend turning off the music and interface. Makes it so you can hear ambushes/enemies long before you see them. Plus it increases your environmental awareness.
When using an oxcart if you bring a material from a cyclops in your inventory, it seems to significantly lower your chances of being attacked on the journey.
If you can’t find an NPC where the quest marker says they should be, check the morgue, talk with the attendant and for 5000g they’ll show you what NPCs have died and can be revived for the cost of a wakestone
On missing NPC's: If resting, and save/load doesn't bring them to where they should be, check the morgue/chattel house of the nearest main hub city, and see if you can find their body. You don't need to pay for this, just walk through and check each casket until you find them, then use a wakestone to resurrect them. Always keep a wakestone or two in storage for this purpose, because oftentimes, monsters will follow you into town and murder a bunch of folks if you try to just run past them.
Is there like a ring that can grant us levitate? I've to skip some tokens because i'm on a class that has no traversing skills and it's quite annoying to backtrack, especially with just 5 map markers.
Depending on the walls/platforms/mountains you need to scale, just bring a Fighter/Warrior that has the Shield/Sword Catapult ability so they can launch you. Obviously anything that's too far however, you'll need a mage or be the mage yourself.
@@MarluxiaX2 I've yet managed to figure out how to make my pawns do those things on command.. They want to launch me constantly against goblins, meanwhile they stand there and tank 3 of them instead of attacking >.
I would love to know the difference between very light, light, and medium weight loads. How much does it effect stamina drain and move speed? I can tell a huge difference between medium and heavy but can hardly notice a change between light and medium so would be cool to see a comparison.
Man i disagree on the not bringing a lot of health potions, so many times i'd get staggered and beat on by multiple enemies and quickly healing, saves me
I think he's saying don't carry too many. There's a diff between enough for what's needed and so many one gets easily encumbered while looting enemies. No class should be lugging around 80 green hp pots, that's overkill and useless weight. When I found myself getting wieghed down too easily, I started weeding out the extra pots I was hauling around and that became less an issue for me.
Pro tip: age your meat/fruits, then combine them together to make dry good variations. Mix those with herbs, Greenwarish or Morningtide, to make Roborants. They have half the weight of potions, and have many variations to the healing amount. You can even go one step further, and mix them with Cinnamon Bark, or, Saurian Tails, but it's definitely overkill till late game.
Argent succor is really good but it’s hard to sacrifice a full slot that I could use for haste or cure status effects. It’d be a no brainer if they didn’t have a heal already.
My main pawn is a mage, i gave her a ring to completely prevent silence as having my teams healer suddenly unable to remove our status effects and heal us would really suck. To be specific a ring of loquacity and a ring of recitation to both prevent silence and increase the speed of incantation drastically. Running kindhearted the thief augment to lower her aggro chances and woodland wordsmith, since shes a support mage and im fond of magic archer/sorcerer i tend to visit them alot.
Hey man I love your content, I’m using your build for magic archer you put up the other day and am really enjoying it, the only thing I run into problems with for the build is gollum’s, do the MA have a physical spell that can deal with them?
Many great tips for people. Im a look forward to the wayfayer one once i decide to lvl it up. Im enjoying this game a lot and i hope they do dlc for it.
Love this game and I can’t wait to see what they add and put into it in the future. It does need the auto save fix and stopping the can’t create a save game problem. But I am having so much fun and am immersed in this game and I haven’t felt that feeling of adventure and awe in a WHILE❤❤❤🎉😊
I was trying to forge replicas of those Beetles but I get the same trash as with ferrystones and wakestones, but one of my pawns said something like, they are worthless for us, but maybe not for someone else, so that sounds to me like, if I gift the replica to the pawn of another player, it will be a normal item to them maybe? Can someone confirm something like that? Otherwise I can't think of a reason, why my pawn would say something like that. It vendors for almost nothing.
I created a very small character so I’ve been way in too of inventory from the start. It’s gets annoying some but also combining ingredients lowers your carry weight.
Has anyone tried to walk around with a cyclops eye in their inventory while traveling by ox cart to check if the monster encounters rate drops? Also I noticed that when using the skill to avoid attacks when traveling, the in town monster spawns increases.
...I carry 4 camps with me at any time, because I thought they were single use items. I've walked through the night and kept dying cause I didn't want to use an expensive resource.
Damn bro. Elite is the best. I just put one on the hired pawns and that'll last you awhile. I don't think I've had one break. Especially if you clear the general area you won't have an issue with raiding.
As long as you aren't spam resting and being sure to clear the general area before camping you'll be fine a majority of the time. Sometimes shit happens but you should always have the elite camp on your main pawn. I also thought they were one time use until realizing otherwise lol
I keep 2 camping supplies 1 on 2 different pawns, no more than 2 oil, but I keep about 20 Mighty Rodants because it takes 3-4 to get back to full health, 20 Fine Harspud Rodants for stam only, and as many Miracle Roborants as i can make (usually around 10) and 10+ ferrystones with at least 1 Portcrystal because walking long distances and getting lost or encumbered sucks, so I drop a portstone teleport to sell, then Immediately port back to where I was.
Also I have my (large) main pawn carry the camping kit and I also have another pawn carry a 2nd camping kit cause one time my main pawn died and had the only camping kit so I couldn’t camp and was down my healer.
Pro tip: for players still going through their first playthrough, I suggest farming drakes for wyrm crystals as a thief vocation. You'll be glad you did. 😂
what does it change to upgrade stuffs in one town, and the rest in an other // i mean there is a few icons on it // does it actually change something ?
Does anyone know where Wilhemmina goes after you finish her questline? I can't seem to find her anywhere even checked the morgue and the gaol and she's just seemed to disappear from the game completely..
Here my tip: Replace your main vocation with warfarer, equip the same skills and augments as your main vocation, DONT equip rearmament skill, you can switch weapons anytime from your item menu without rearmament, the cons is the weapons weight. You could bring the lightest staff with you so you can use levitate for exploration and heal yourself anytime without being a mage/sorc.
A tip I wish I knew. Don’t start “a new godsway” quest until you want to be locked into end game and are done exploring. The whole 80 hours I’ve played I been looking forward to magic archer but now it seems I can only get it during the endgame quest or new game plus.
I’ve found the most broken stamina management hack is being a Warrior with the Ravening Lunge skill. I just spam that and run willy nilly super duper fast.
Something that makes you really fast for all my "big boinkers" aka *Warriors:* The skill Goring Lunge (lvl 2)/Ravening Lunge (lvl 5) makes you run _really_ fast! I believe it's the fastest you can run in the game. In its advanced form (again, hitting Warrior vocation rank 5) it costs even less stamina. Lunge away, my boinking friends! PS: Watch your pawns trying to keep up with your insane speed on the minimap - it's hilarious!
Sara, Brokkr's apprentice seems bugged sometimes...after you talk to her she follows you around 😂 you can't upgrade/buy anything from her...I need to sleep outside the city to respawn her back the smithy
It depends on the location you're in when upgrading. Kitty Kingdom gives you the upgrades that increase weight, but increase strength and defense much higher than magic and magic defense. Vernworth decreases weight with a smaller boost to everything. The elves focus on magic and magic defense (don't think weight is affected).
@@SM-McKraken Also the sky is blue and grass is green, lol. I'm talking about stamina *Recovery*, the aged meat is the Only one that does this unless the Recovery ++++ is for healing.
Man they really made it hard to go solo in DD2. You could easily do it in DD1, but it seems like everything is made to force you to use pawns. Camping gear being that heavy should be a crime😂

Also check hot springs near the end of the game... Sara the dwarven blacksmith was nowhere to be found, turns out she was the highest affinity noc and thus turned out in the springs. Grabbed her, teleported back to bakbattal and made her resume her job.
GREAT TIPS THANKS!
Get urself a Portcrystal and some ferrystones, and ull never use another oxcart.
@@jvd3339 I kind of like the ox cart hahaha
@@michaelmolgaard9196 - I didn't mind them on the 1st playthrough. NG+ it's just a waste of time.
Game is amazing, love every second of it
REALLY helpful thank you
I thought these were more game breaking things to do than tips for efficiency. XD Totally expecting something like "raise affinity of the entire Vernworth so there's always a massive brawl outside your home" type suggestions. LOOOL OH seriously though, do it. Get the affinity of a bagillion people in towns up and it's chaos at it's finest! >:)
Gotta say it, Specialization tomes being single use is a huge downer... I wish we could change them situationally
Nice video, cheers from Germany
Not exactly a mechanical change but if you want a more immersive experience I recommend turning off the music and interface. Makes it so you can hear ambushes/enemies long before you see them. Plus it increases your environmental awareness.
That cooking video they have always makes me hungry!
👍
i had no idea camping kits ran out, good info
It's not so much that they run out rather they get destroyed.
Npcs just randomly die? Seems like you would know they’re dead. They got mauled by wolves 🐺?
I remember grinding gold for a ring I got in Melve or maybe a town before to get a ring to help with weight
I always hire a mage with the Argent Succor skill for this.
I can’t use health potions my inventory won’t let me I just use my mage
Thanks for the advice, I'll have to check it later.
I’m lvl 40 and I’ve yet to do the “break point of no return” quest with the guard captain, I’ve mostly just been running around and exploring the map
I love the advice people give about this game
Good 2 know! Thx! I will definitely check these options out once capcom gets the game in a better state on PC.
There yet may be some life left in that dead horse you're whipping.
Doubtful but alas possible.
Fextra Life, is going at it 💯!💪
Has anyone tried to walk around with a cyclops eye in their inventory while traveling by ox cart to check if the monster encounters rate drops?
80 hours in and I haven't once been ambushed at camp.
I just have 2 thief paws with the appropriate skills. They put in work.
Any tips on items we can sell for gold? I’ve been hoarding everything bc I don’t know what I’m going to need for later
what does it change to upgrade stuffs in one town, and the rest in an other // i mean there is a few icons on it // does it actually change something ?
Different enhancement styles do different things. dragonsdogma2.wiki.fextralife.com/Enhancements
There are some foods you can cook that help with stamina recovery
Wait... I have to plan and think ahead to play this game? I better review bomb it because I'm entitled. 🧐😂
I play Sorc. You do not have to worry about stamina. We have infinite recharge skill that refills a full stamina bar in literally 3 seconds.
Warfarer can get that too, with the added plus of comboing skills of other vocations so you can kill dragons (and other large enemies) in seconds.
What GPU are you using?
Bathali upgrades also increase the weight of the equipment. Not sure about the others
Does anyone know where Wilhemmina goes after you finish her questline? I can't seem to find her anywhere even checked the morgue and the gaol and she's just seemed to disappear from the game completely..
She seems to re-appear in the bordelrie in the 'true endgame'. You'll know it when you see it ^^
Here my tip: Replace your main vocation with warfarer, equip the same skills and augments as your main vocation, DONT equip rearmament skill, you can switch weapons anytime from your item menu without rearmament, the cons is the weapons weight.
5:58 …. WHAT?!? Welp, that alone made this video worth it.
Is there a benefit to playing Dark Arisen before this?
I’ve found the most broken stamina management hack is being a Warrior with the Ravening Lunge skill. I just spam that and run willy nilly super duper fast.
I'm on my third playthru. This time I choose 2x archer for me and my main pawn. I need to admit I did not had so much fun in a long time!
From my experience, if you want to have the most fun and challenge play solo no pawns whatsoever it makes everything high stakes and meaningful
Something that makes you really fast for all my "big boinkers" aka *Warriors:*
The skill Goring Lunge (lvl 2)/Ravening Lunge (lvl 5) makes you run _really_ fast! I believe it's the fastest you can run in the game. In its advanced form (again, hitting Warrior vocation rank 5) it costs even less stamina. Lunge away, my boinking friends!
PS: Watch your pawns trying to keep up with your insane speed on the minimap - it's hilarious!
Another one, for PC only: Install the mods "True Warfare" and "An Alternative Skill Swapper"
Sara, Brokkr's apprentice seems bugged sometimes...after you talk to her she follows you around 😂 you can't upgrade/buy anything from her...I need to sleep outside the city to respawn her back the smithy
You don’t have to open the inventory to use heals and stamina potions 🧪 use up and down on the D pad when you use the RB to turn lamp on
Beast equipment enhances also increase the weight, it isnt just dwarven that increases the weight.
Does the sphinx come back after you fail a riddle?
No, new game plus or start over unfortunately.
First time I used an Ox cart I was playing without any HUDs and waited the whole trip, just watching them roll over slower than a snail... 😅
I would love to see a video where someone went through all potions and explained their purpose
I had some of my armor and weapons get heavier after upgrading, what's up with that?
It depends on the location you're in when upgrading. Kitty Kingdom gives you the upgrades that increase weight, but increase strength and defense much higher than magic and magic defense. Vernworth decreases weight with a smaller boost to everything. The elves focus on magic and magic defense (don't think weight is affected).
@@SoMuggyFresh Oh wow I had no idea this was a mechanic, thank you for letting me know.
Aged scrag meat helps with stamina recovery I think
Any non-rotten meat eaten at camp will help with stamina the next day for a while.
@@SM-McKraken Also the sky is blue and grass is green, lol. I'm talking about stamina *Recovery*, the aged meat is the Only one that does this unless the Recovery ++++ is for healing.
If you're a warfarer and extra weapons suddenly burden you... Equip 'em. The heaviest is the only one that counts.
No one can stop me from bringing elemental weapons with me
I actually never used another camping set, in my first play through I used the one I started with and I never lost it
how can u carry all this stuff ans still have only 17 weight?
Hey man when will you make full data of dd2 of items in the website?
All the items are in the website already
How do you get a lot of ferry stones
On ps controller you can select multiple items to deposit by pressing square.
Man they really made it hard to go solo in DD2. You could easily do it in DD1, but it seems like everything is made to force you to use pawns. Camping gear being that heavy should be a crime😂
U can store all materials for upgrade. You dont have yo carry it to your character when going to the armorer
