"Which star is that, Brother Francis?" I asked him to distract his thoughts. "Have you any idea?" "It must be some archangel," he said, holding back his tears. "Who knows--perhaps the archangel Gabriel. Such an archangel, gleaming with splendour, came down one morning and pronounced the 'Hail Mary.' -Kazantzakis, God's Pauper. Well done, Rob. This is so serene. God bless you.
Hi Rob, from one organist to another, I loved your registration and how you built it up in the middle, then tapered it off with what sounded like celestes toward the end. Very beautiful.
Thank you, Rob. I first heard this hymn as it was sung during the Funeral of Princess Diana. I will never forget it. Consequently, I taught it to my choir in Kansas City, Missouri and they came to love it and loved to sing it as an anthem in church services. It brought a feeling of hope and consolation to my soul tonight, during this pandemic, COVID-19. I hope that you are doing well, staying healthy and safe, Rob. What have you recorded recently?
