I live in Texas and I have never been in a church building as grand as the one you played the magnificent hymns at. How can anyone not be spiritually awakened and totally committed to Christ in such a Heavenly environment? If I resided near this church, I would attend every service. Already, just after the first two songs played, my voice is going out, from singing along. Never have my ears heard such a stately version of Praise The Lord, The Almighty. One of my favorite songs is Eternal Father, Strong To Save, because I would not had been born, had my father not been saved after a ship he served on sank. Thank you Mr McVeigh for caring enough to preserve our Christian heritage through these amazing videos. May God cause a special blessing come to you for your devotion to Christ and service to His church family around the world.

@@neuzeliasbahrmilke369 That is very encouraging. In my own life, we left our traditional, orthodox church in 2006 for a theological reason and joined a parish that uses mostly contemporary Christian music. Our son didn't care for it and remains to this day at our former church who uses only organ, liturgy and classic hymnody. He loves the ancient ways and I support that, except when he belittles our church's musical style. I remind him that good churches do only orthodox, traditional liturgy and hymns and that good churches do solid Christian contemporary musical style but GREAT CHURCHES find a way to DO BOTH. I am one of the fortunate ones whose American church sings almost all of these hymns on a regular basis. And our organ is a 4 manual 94 rank Casavant of recent vintage. Our American organist got his degrees from both Yale and Eastman before spending a few years as the first organ scholar at Royal Albert Hall and then on to Canterbury Cathedral as the Assistant Organist. Somebody in our congregation quietly and anonymously ponied up quite a chunk of change to steal him away! But it also shows the cut of cloth we have for a senior pastor that this sort of music is what we desired to have to truly worship God. The choir consists of multiple music majors from the local University and far more members with music degrees already logged in our backgrounds. We are blessed. And in East Texas we truly are a one-of-a-kind church! For our Fine Arts Series, we recently had Peter Holder of Westminster Abbey perform. It was heart stopping! Having played at the funerals of both Prince Phillip and then Queen Elizabeth, he next played for Charles’ coronation. As my 88 year old mother had watched Elizabeth’s coronation live 70 years ago on a tiny black and white TV, and then her funeral services live again now, this concert by Peter was for her the ultimate capstone to mark both ends of that remarkable era of history which she had lived completely through that exceeded even that of Queen Victoria. I've played for about 20 years now, mostly self-taught but enough experience to realize that to get all 8 fingers, 2 thumbs and 2 feet going at the same time while keeping the rhythm makes it singularly difficult to learn, much less master. This is the best video yet !!!!!! First went to Europe in 1995 to ride motorcycles through the Alps. Would always start in Munich. Been there about 13 times over the years. Each time I would spend a little less time on the bike & a little more time in the cathedrals listening to those great organs. The best sound in the world. Thank you so much. Not only for the musical journey but watching a master performing. Enjoyed viewing the ecclesiastical buildings immensely. Like so many others commenting, I grew up on these hymns in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The words are still imprinted on my brain. Added to my playlist. Many , many thanks again. Sending you blessings for your musical ministry. By the way seeing the Epstein statue at Llandaff cathedral was especially memorable for me.
This compilation of favorite hymns on all the different organs in different cathedrals is absolutely incredible❣️I love these hymns we seldom sing anymore❣️ The most meaningful one though is “It is well with my soul”, I’m always sobbing by the end of the first line. That was one of my Mom’s favorite hymns and one the 12 of us sang at her funeral. It will be three years tomorrow since she went to be with her Lord and I can hardly see to type this through my tears. I miss her so much and it will always hurt that she spent her last 11 days alone in the hospital and we weren’t allowed to come and say goodbye. I’m just so grateful that you are performing and producing these videos, they fill a hole in my soul that’s been there a long time. Thank you and God bless you, Caroline, Hugo and your new baby❣️ And I love your cats, we are a two cat family as well❣️😻😻
My heart goes out to you... May God grant you comfort in knowing that the separation is just for a little while, but the Great Reunion is FOREVER! 13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Thank you. Thank you. A visual and auditory delight! Beautiful. (My mother and I used to enjoy watching and listening to Diane Bish perform, a TV program years ago.) The hymns were so beautifully played. Blessings.
Awsome! Must be so ecstatic to play such a magistral instrument that takes up a whole city centre! Wish I was there to enjoy it live. Thank you so much for your play and recording!
Gorgeous and wonderfully expressed renditions of some truly powerful hymnody....and I'm thrilled to see another organists playing pedals without shoes!!! You do a wonderful job pulling stops and keeping the music going. God bless.
My husband plays the organ every Sunday, two services. It’s amazing how many people are so thankful that he plays and that our church uses a lot of hymns and then a little bit of the new ones. There’s nothing like an organ in a church. And heartbreaking. If there’s an organ, they don’t even use.
Awesome hymns played by the pipe organist. If it is so nice to hear here in the churches, how wonderful it will be in Heaven when this hymns are sung!! I'm proud to be a Christian!!!

Oh! These hymns are magnificent! I praise God that His glory is revealed in this music. This brings me back to my youth when I sat in church, misty eyed because of the wonderous hymns that I heard on the organ with a large congregation singing loudly and joyfully. It really takes me back and makes me long for those days again. I'm so thankful for Richard McVeigh's gift of musicality and organ playing that I don't think can be taught--it is indeed a gift he has and shares with us. He has such insights into each hymn--as he plays, I can hear the majesty of the words and the weight of meaning in each hymn. MAGNIFICENT!! 100x's over! I keep returning to this video & it is even MORE wonderful with each playing... Is that possible? YES, indeed! As I listen to this glorious music, I "tour" these amazing cathedrals. Thank you for this holy gift of sight & sound for all listeners.
This was just lovely thank you. As I was working in the kitchen, I had this playing in the background. Nothing beats the old hymns played by an organ, in my thoughts!
❤❤❤❤
This is the best video yet !!!!!! First went to Europe in 1995 to ride motorcycles through the Alps. Would always start in Munich. Been there about 13 times over the years. Each time I would spend a little less time on the bike & a little more time in the cathedrals listening to those great organs. The best sound in the world. Big thanks for taking me back to those days. Excellent sound & camera work. As close as I can get to being there, even gave me goosebumps. It is that good.
I thank the Lord that I can attend a church where hymns are sung to the tunes from such a magnificent instrument to the glory and honour of God Almighty
Brilliant .these will cheer everybody up.i was hoping you tube would put this on..
When Richard played "O Thou Who Camest From Above" I lost it again. God only knows how lovely that piece of music is and what it does to my heart and soul when I hear it played so perfectly on the Pipe Organ Thank you Sir Richard Mc
I am definitely enjoying the music
Humble Holy songs for Bible study 😊
Watching tonight in Southern Australia - have been unwell, and these pieces, so well known and so much loved, are truly a healing spirit for mind and soul. Thank you Richard - I'd love to be there in some of those remarkable English churches - such amazing heritage!

There is no music more inspirational or worth my listening!
I have truly been blessed today listening to the great hymns played on the King of Instruments. It was a much needed enhancement to my Sunday worship. Your ministry gift is simply amazing. God bless you, and thank you. 🙏
This is a beautiful program. Well worth pausing and taking the time to listen and sing if so moved!
Impressive! Glorious, deeply moving and inspirational. A true praise of our Almighty God and Savior. May music like this inspire the Christians of the world to unite in common purpose to witness our Faith, live a purposeful and Holy life in the face of the difficult and awful tribulations of the current time.
This is absolutely beautiful.
I remember singing some of these, its wonderful to hear them again played with such skill and emotion. My Uncle Jim would had loved this so much. Also, thank you for the words so I could sing along. Very uplifting. Peace and love to all.
Thank you and God bless you, Caroline, Hugo and your new baby❣️
And I love your cats, we are a two cat family as well❣️😻😻
My heart goes out to you...
Blessings.
Thank you and GOD BLESS ❤😊
Just what we all need .
Great music and camerawork to match ... -- thanks for a heart-warming experience. ❤
Perfect! I Can’t stop listening to this compilation! Always waiting for your latest live videos. May God bless you and thank you!
So beautiful🌹🌹🌹Thank You so very much!
Thanks for these favorite hymns. Thanks for the words to sing along also.
Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful instruments! Such beautiful offering!
Awesome hymns played by the pipe organist. If it is so nice to hear here in the churches, how wonderful it will be in Heaven when this hymns are sung!! I'm proud to be a Christian!!!
Awesome video Richard! Thank you! You are by far the best organist that I have heard in my 72 years!
Beautifully played and stops chosen with taste. It's just wonderful!
I love to the beautiful hymns on the organ I’m glad our church still plays them. Thank you for such beautiful playing

❤
Thank you
Thanks so much for this list! Just what I was hoping to find!
Masterful work, sir! Love hearing the rich sounds of your chords produced on that amazing creation of mankind and of God. I also love watching you work...I have played pianos and organs by ear since my earliest recollections, so I can appreciate first hand your total command. Fascinating and inspiring...thank you and best regards from the USA.
Artistically registered, beautifully played. The Holy Spirit is definitely present in your sharing of your gifts!
Really enjoyed relistening to these hymns and will relisten in the future. Blessings.
Beautiful video. Never been a believer but no other religion touches christianity...may it flourish and never die.
God welcomes us, through Jesus Christ. The door is open for you! ✝️
Peaceful, Relaxing, Inspiring and Uplifting music! Truly Sacred, Reverent and Joyful! The Best Music in my books!
Your videos are so inspiring, and this one is top notch! These instruments are so very beautiful to hear and to see. I studied about pipe organs when I was younger (1970's) and never dreamed I would ever get to hear and see so many well known and beautiful instruments! Yet, 50 years or so later, here I am, experiencing a dream come true on your channel. Yes, you do make a difference!
Your performances are always a delight to hear and watch (love the PIP pedal work). You put out so many beautiful videos on UA-cam... all I can say is
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
This is the most unbelievable thing I’ve ever heard. What a gift from God!
Richard you are magical on the pipe organ. I know the hymns so well, having gone to boarding school in Hastings NZ in 1950's!!. Our son sends your videos from London. Many thanks.
Thank you!
Two of my favorite All Saints hymns. For All The Saints and I sing a song of the saints of God. Every all saints for 20+ years. They brought tears to my eyes. Thinking about my late wife.
Those are my favorites too! I’m so sorry for your loss, Robert. You will see her again someday. God Bless You ❤️ Prayers and love to you
I was an organist in different Methodist churches in North India 1972-2022, conducted college choir as well. I enjoyed work thoroughly , requires great commitment since padre depends on you, people expect organ music what ever time & weather, you are taken for granted. Never the less, I enjoyed serving & joked away negative comments with other organists. God bless all
Greetings from Bangalore, I worship at the Indiranagar Methodist Church from 1974,where my father was organist for 16 years,he’s in heaven enjoying this, glad to know you were an organist too .
Wonderful program. Richard, thank you for putting this together.
Love this; our church took out our organ and now rarely play older music....I can worship at home and enjoy organ music.
Great and wonderful hymns. God bless
🙏
Just found this ama,ing channel. Thank you Richard for bringing these wonderfu! hymns to us on these magnificent instruments. For me, this is how worship should be.
Richard, you are truly a master at recording these magnificent pipe organs. Getting the right balance, volume, and dispersion is most challenging with organs, but your amazing musicianship and recording talents make it all excellent. Thank you.
If you could come to my LDS church and play i think your skill and passion for hymns would make our day! Fantastic organist!
MUY BONITOS HIMNOS, SALUDOS DESDE SAN FELIPE DEL PROGRESO, ESTADO DE MÉXICO🇲🇽. DIOS LOS BENDIGA, SHALOM🙏.
Thank you Richard for another wonderful VC. Sunday is not complete without Virtual Church, and today you did not disappoint.
May all the blessings of this joyful season be with you and your family 💕
Awesome rendition! I loved every single hymn you played! Thank you very much for warming up our hearts!
Maestro you put me in a total trance, I’am absolutely mesmerized by your command of the King of all instruments God love you and take care of you so you can play for all his children With much love w respect Richard USA 🇺🇸
I have always been a great fan of organ music, and now at 74 I listen to it all.
Great music, that of the hymns and sensational organs, exceptional organist, who causes joy in listening.
I will indeed click on the link organist McVeigh gave us of the "Music of Cathedrals compilation." This has become my favorite place online. Blessings to all. 3/1/24
