I use to make lots of plant hangers and wall hanging back in the mid-1970s. I still have all my macrame books, cordings, and my Professor Nemo large owl wall hanging!
I had an interest in macrame years ago when it was the rage (think 1970s) but I never actually made projects. This has caught my attention again. I can see the feathers lightly dyed with streaks of color for an interesting effect to match other room decor. We live in the semi-arid Upper Great Plains of the USA and our house is very dusty. I wonder how one cleans these pieces, especially the wall hangings. Obviously carefully vacuuming with a brush attachment might work just fine. What do you think? And what about coasters that may get dribbles or spills on them ... can they be laundered?

How to stiffen feather?
Thank you for your question. Mia has mentioned in the video spray starch and/or hairspray can help the feather hold its shape.
