Okay so yes definitely a feather but I saw this and thought oooo palm leaf and then I was like OOOO YOU COULD MAKE THIS INTO A MONSTERA LEAF! It’s all about perspective and creativity people!!! Love this and you ❤❤
Yes I was going to ask you about your scissors.. mine will not cut.. none of my scissors cut it? I’ve never bought cord like this so I have no idea where to begin.. It is beautiful.. I love the color too.. Thank you
Can you help me with where to find the cord you are using? I can’t find 4” 3 ply? And most of the stuff I’ve bought is just very thick and frizzy? thank you
Hey there! Not a problem at all! I use cord from Nook Theory and Ganxxet all the time. You can also get it on amazon. I love a 4mm single strand from Ganxxet, and any cord really. Nook theory has great 4mm 4ply macrame rope too. I do have links in my beacon bio in my details section. Hope this helps
I accidentally purchased macrame cord that seems to have about 6-8 strands braided together so when I brush it out it just gets all knotted and fluffy. I there a particular macrame cord that I should be looking for to make the leaves, and what can I make with the cord that I already purchased. I am new to macrame and didn’t realize that there was a difference in the cord, I just went for 4mm for a project I was working on and then when I finished and started to comb it out I realized that this must be the wrong cord.
You could still use the braided cord you purchased for any wall hangings and plant hangers. Works great! For feathers you will want a single strand macrame cord or one that says 3 or 4 ply rope. Ganxxet and NookTheory are great places to get it. Just don't use anything that said braided for the feathers. You can use any thickness, I love a good 3mm or 4mm for feathers. I hope this helps
The thicker the cord. The less you have to use. A 5mm may be best. But really doesn’t matter. I started with 3mm and anywhere from 3-5mm are my go to sizes.

What kind of scissors do you have.. wow.. those are so sharp?
Gingher scissors. They are my favorite and they stay sharp for so long!
This is awesome! What's the name of the stitch created with the two pieces over the center?
Thank you. That would be considered a reef knot. Your essentially making a square knot, but this version is a reef knot
When i spray the stiffen spray my macrame starts curling. Is there something I can do to prevent that?
Spray a good amount and then make sure you rub it into the cord. I usually use my hands but a paint brush will work too
Thank you
Hola desde México,de cuantos mm.de grosor es el cordón,me puedes decir, gracias.
Hey there! This is a 4mm but you could use any!
I accidentally purchased macrame cord that seems to have about 6-8 strands braided together so when I brush it out it just gets all knotted and fluffy. I there a particular macrame cord that I should be looking for to make the leaves, and what can I make with the cord that I already purchased. What size cord is best for beginners to make the feathers?
The thicker the cord. The less you have to use. A 5mm may be best. But really doesn’t matter. I started with 3mm and anywhere from 3-5mm are my go to sizes.
Can we use yarn?
That’s what I’m wondering
Yarn will not brush out the same as macrame rope or cord. I suggest a rope or cord.
can you please write all the length of macrame cord?
I will update with a new feather video with everything written out shortly. With variations of more feathers and such.
Is there something we can spray on the feather to keep the threads in place and for a crisp look?
yes, stiffen quick is what I love to use. It is a fabric stiffener. You can also use hairspray.
Hlo dear pls tell me the spray you did on feather
The spray used is stiffen quick from Aleene's. It helps hold the feathers shape
Would this work with 3mm cord ?
absolutely! you can use any mm you want, and also single strand cords too
@@AngsCraftsnCreationsthank you 😊
❤❤❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
А перевод где?!?!
I can never cut mine to be perfect 😂
so much practice with that and I'm still learning as I go lol
Thank you for the tutorial
What kind of glue are you using?
I use Aleene's Stiffen Quik to help hold the shape. Spray it really good a few times and allow it to dry. It will help hold the shape for you.
