Price gouging is the major factor in inflation. they blame things on gas price, so they increase their products' prices. but when gas prices went down, did they ever reduce their products prices? No. This is true, especially for food items.
So, the consumers need to let sellers know that they're shopping around for lower prices. Don't buy in a rush. Just leave when the items' prices are high.
Because they know they can keep charging those prices and we can't stop buying the goods, especially food goods.

It's much more complicated than that. There is always inflation. In the past 50 years, i.e., 600 months, there have only been 11 months with deflation rather than inflation: eight months in 2009 during the Great Recession and three months in early 2015.
If people would bother to look at the inflation rate and the increases in prices - they do not match. Companies have blamed inflation for their price increases while they actually create the inflation as they profit off of it.
That makes no sense. Inflation is the result of rising prices.

The deal the senate has come up with says 5k asylum seekers will be allowed in per day. So, how does that fix anything? There are so many migrants coming in so fast right now Denver, Chicago and NY city are all crying for help with thousands sleeping in airports and even on the streets. The border is so over ran right now all the border patrol are tied up with transporting asylum seekers to processing centers. They used to be called detection centers. Weird. The process is so jacked right now they can't even run back ground checks, there isn't enough time or capacity. They have to get them out as fast as possible to make room for more coming in.

What is necessary is large scale federal housing,that way the federal government can direct the people into places where they are needed. Interest rates increase the cost of money, leading to reduced money circulating in the economy because borrowing is more expensive (interest on credit). Lowering interest rates prematurely would lead to more money circulating in the economy and a rise in prices (inflation). When demand increases and supply remains the same prices rise. Liz, Why does the proposed deal allow up 5,000 migrants per day before the border shuts down? They get court dates in the 2030s and are allowed to remain simply by uttering the magic phrase "I am afraid of my government and seek asylum". Why is the border patrol's job to 'PROCESS' people instead of maintain a solid border? These are the reasonable questions posed by republicans and why they're so upset. You aren't solving anything by allowing in 1.8 million people every year. The only reasonable assumption you can make is this is somehow trying to buy new democrat votes. Just like when you try to rob us to give kids free college instead of actually trying to fix the root of the college problem or offer any real ideas... I disagree, the housing has such an inflation. I don’t think lowering interest rate will help with that. It will raise the the housing prices. The people who it help will be the brokers. IMHO it’s best to keep interest high for maybe a little longer maybe until after summer.

Elizabeth, if rates are cut, house prices go up, just saying. Sure mortgage rates are lower but guess what that means, house prices go up.
The major problem is we don't have enough housing. Prices will go up, but with lower interest rates the monthly mortgage will still be lower. More importantly, when rates are cut, builders can afford to build. That is what we need, more housing. Of course there are other factors slowing building; restrictive zoning laws, lack of labor and more.
@@annerose7571 But if rates are lower, by default the house price went up so your payment might be +/- the same. And if rates are cut prematurely, inflation can stay where it is or go higher, thereby not making it any cheaper to build either. Its a very tricky spot.
