Is anyone else tired of the fact that 5 or 6 states get to decide the outcome of our elections, based on the electoral college? There's a reason some people feel like their votes don't count and then they don't bother to participate in that most crucial civic duty. I personally wish that we used ranked choice voting for our primaries and popular vote for our general, but those in power will never go for it, because they know they will ultimately lose their positions.
If you want to get rid of the electoral college permanently then we have to amend the constitution of the United States plan and simple. That’s what it will take to get it done!

Trump tourism revenue declined because of his racism and hate. Trump called veterans losers, praised dictators (because he wants to be one). He believed Putin over the U.S. intelligence agencies. Trump was impeached twice (in 1 term). He had 2 recessions (in 1 term). Trump put kids in cages, posted mean tweets constantly, he had temper tantrums (he's 78 and too old for temper tantrums). Trump criticized our NATO allies, he was forever firing his administration, he called the media fake news. Trump was the laughing stock of the other world leaders. Trump imposed tariffs that backfired and cost us billions of dollars worth of farm exports. Trump's economy was largely regarded as the worst in 38 nations. Trump had the worst record of jobs lost. 3,641,000 fewer Americans were employed when he left office.
After Trump lost the 2020 election he tried to stay in power by breaking into voting machines, setting up fake electors in the various swing states. Trump planned and incited a violent insurrection on the capitol. Many police were hurt and some even died. Trump sat in his dining room watching all this on TV (like many of us did). It was hours before he finally told his mob that he loved them. to stand down, stand by. Trump pressured Brad R. to find him 11,780 votes in Georgia. Trump stole top secret highly classified documents, refused to give them back, lied to the FBI about the documents, and hid the documents from the FBI when they came with a search warrant (in Mar-a-Lago). He has managed to push all these trials until after the election. Most people would want to prove their innocence, but Trump just kept delay, delay, delaying his trials. The New York election interference/business fraud and campaign finance fraud case was held. The 12 jurors found Trump guilty of all 34 charges. We are just waiting for his sentencing which will be July 11th.
If Trump was elected after all that he will not be able to vote or get a job at McDonald's but he'll be able to be our president? Convicted felon Trump won't be able to go into 37 countries. Trump won't be able to own a gun or join the military, but he'll be in charge of our military? Trump won't be able to get a security clearance, but he'll have access to our national security documents and our nuclear codes? This does not seem right to me at all.

Pollsters need to stop categorizing voters by race and ethnicities. While colors have some historical significance, people are much more aligned with their personal experience in the US now. Categorize by economic conditions, political and religious beliefs. These are things that actually affects a person's voting preference, not the color of their skin.

One thing I do not understand about the battleground states such as Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin is that the senate democrats are all winning in the polls but Trump is ahead of Biden. So they want Democrats in the senate but Trump for president. Something doesn't add up.

For almost all states, the electoral college votes are winner take all. These "battleground states" are called that because they are close to 50/50. Toss in a third party that nabs a few percent, people that don't vote single party tickets, and it easily adds up. Basically all of those races are within the margin of error for polls.
Another factor is that a portion of those people are voting for Trump because the like Trump, but that doesn't extend to liking Senators. People don't say they love the GOP. They say they love him. Neither house has positive polls right now (esp congress - yikes!).
