Hi everyone, here you can find a deep dive video about the ME 90, with a lot of your questions answered (i.e. vs GX 100, is it gapless? is it true bypass, etc): ua-cam.com/video/0PpeoT_cS58/v-deo.html
This is so much more than a review! The part about setting the tone is amazing because you explain WHY you decided to set it up the way you did and how it serves the song. Thank you Leo!
This message really makes me happy! I was unsure if to live that part in the video....as it was pretty personal and the video was becoming pretty long...but I'm really happy that you finally appreciate it! Thank you for letting me know!!!!
There are so many people who just don't want, or need, a huge touch-screen LCD on their modelers. No one wants to fiddle around on a touch-screen during live performances! Something like the ME-90 and NUX Trident will probably also survive a lot longer than a Helix or Quad Cortex. Great to see Boss finally getting around to adding the GT-1000 amp models to the ME-series.
The first thing that occurs to me when I see the ME-series is the same thing that Leo Gibson commented on in time 26:42. How would you make the adjustments in the middle of a show if the physical buttons probably weren't representing the state of the presets? I think if you want to avoid fiddle around, the touch-screen for navigation with some physical buttons to control the parameters is still the best solution.
Hi, thank you for sharing! Of course these units have a specific target market....I have to say that this approach is nice and the more you use it ... the more you enjoy it...
No need to touch the screen during live performance.. just prepare and programme the patches at the studio..and with just one click of the foot switches you get what you want.. On Me 90 all the amps and effects are available with the physical knobs..
Excellent review Leo! I agree with your assessment of the device such as the design issue with the settings as well as the lack of a stereo delay option. At least for me a stereo delay is a must. For many years I used the ME-70. Recently I used it a few times and remembered why I liked it. It interacts well with a tube amp but eventually the shortcomings you mentioned made me consider other alternatives as they were also present in the ME70. In the case of the ME70 the biggest issue for the use I had for it was the lack of an effects loop which now the new unit has plus the amp models sound a lot better in the new unit as well.
Thank you sooo much, I'm really happy that you have appreciated that section of the video!!! I was unsure if to put it insider the video or not...as it was pretty personal...and finally the video was becoming very long...but at the end I thought that it could be interesting for some of us. Thank you!
I found the ME 80 execellent for live performance because of all the on board dials instead of menu diving. There have always been better sounding pedals for the price, but the dials were the advantage. This does so much more, butit is those on board dials that make it a big win. Thanks for such a great video.
You are welcome and thank you for sharing your findings and your experience! Yes, this tactile experience is really satisfying after years of many diving...thank you!
I've only had a short time with the ME 90. While i haven't gotten satisfying amp tones yet, I LOVE the effects! The mods are so great! The univibe is very 3d. The spring reverb is not good but the hall and rooms are good enough. I wish it had plate and/or more comprehensive reverb control. I love the simplicity and the effects so its definitely a keeper. Hopefully, I'll be able to get good amp tones eventually, but if not, i can always just use the effects.
Hello, thanks for the video! I have been a ME80 user for at least seven years. I recently switched to try mooer and gt100... today I bought a me90, and I'm sure I'll be happy!
Hello Mr. Leo Gibson! Your mix has so much punch and kick and your playing is so delightful that I'm impressed all the time form the first note from your guitar to the end of the piece. I appreciate your videos and also your audience. You gather together so much people out there. I like to read comments below your posts. As a UA-camr you are very impressive artist as well. I wish you all the best and have good fun watching incoming chapters of this such interesting tech and gig series. Cheers!
This video is already so much worth it for the demo song. Reminds me of my youth when I was listening more to progressive Rock and music from Jean Michelle Jarre and Mike Oldfiled. I also like the pragmatic and calm way you present your opinion and views on the device. Thx for the effort.
Awesome! I miss my Me-50.. Since I sold it I have not found an amp or amp modeler that makes me feel at home.. I really liked the DS1 distortion and the Botton knob there, it was a huge compressed distortion I have never found.. I hate to have thousands of amp options and a digital chain in a screen.. Having a digital pedal with no big screen and just knobs in 2023 is a great idea..
@@LeoGibsonGtrIf you’re doing the comparison, I’d love to see how the HX effects does: comparison of the best Pedalboard sims out there ! Thank you for yet another great video, Leo
Thanks for the great video Leo! I own the boss me 80, and I appreciate that Boss added an fx loop on the unit, as well as support for 3d party IRs. It would be nice if you could make a comparison between the me 80 and the me 90, or at least if you could share your thoughts on that, seeing as how the 80 is still one of the best selling units out on the market. Thanks again Leo, your videos are awesome!! Cheers!
Thank you sooo much, I'm really happy that you like the video! Yes, a comparison with the ME 80 would be interesting...I don't have it....therefore I could do a video just showing the differences in terms of tech spec. Thank you!
It's supposed to be the same effects as the gt1000 and if it is I can speak to that. I used to own both a GT1000 and ME-80 and I compared them. The GT1000 is far superior in effects quality. Everything just has more depth and more dynamic response. Also When everything is bipassed, the gt1000 is much more transparent. The Me-80 cuts some high end and dynamics. I know the ME-90 does not have the same A/D and D/A converters as the GT1000 but I have to assume they are upgraded from the ME-80. I had done blind tests with the Gt1000 on a switcher against a Klon, Tube screamer, and blues driver and it was indistinguishable. The blues driver especially was just perfect with all the subtleties of the dynamic response. Whereas with the ME-80, I felt like the effects usually got into the sonic ballpark but didn't feel quite as good. The ME-80 seems incapable especially of replicating the high-end frequencies. Everything lacked that sparkle. Also compared the tape delay to the strymon el Calistan and the reverbs to the strymon flint. I think the gt1000 reverbs are better. And I could match the el capistan completely so that I couldn’t tell it apart. But the reverb and delay are much more limited on the Boss ME-80 and ME-90 so I doubt they would quite be able to stand up to the strymon. Although, on the other hand, there is supposedly quite a bit you can tweak with the computer software on the ME-90, which may make a difference. The ME-80 had every single parameter available on the unit. So the software didn't actually give you anything additional. The Me-80 also has a freeze effect that the gt1000 didn’t have whatsoever and cannot replicate. Gt1000 has some sort of “hold” effect that kinda sucks. But I’m glad it looks like they were able to keep a good working freeze on the me-90 and it sounded good in other demos. I will be buying an ME-90 as soon as I can. BUT, I also could see myself re-buying an ME-80 again as used prices on those will probably be plummeting soon.
@@LeoGibsonGtr Thanks for the feedback Leo, looking forward to seeing your future videos! It might also be interesting to hear your thoughts about the best ways to monitor yourself on stage while using these units... Food for thought :) Cheers from Colombia!
@@TheDilligan Awesome dude, thanks for sharing! Would to have a GT1000, seems like such a good unit... What are your thoughts on using the me80 with an ir loader pedal after? I just think it's still such a versatile pedal I'm looking for ways to keep it in use, specially for fly gigs because of its size... Thanks again dude, cheers!
I can’t imagine a guitar player interested in gear and not yet subscribed to your channel. I actually don’t need any other channel for gear reviews. Great job man.
Firstly, terrific playing! You could make a shoebox with twine sound good. Secondly, as far as the ME-90 breakdown, you covered all the crucial elements in a straightforward way. Good job!
As I remembered, at the older ME series you can hold exit or save button to see the parameter value. Hold the exit/save and rotate the knob that you want to see (please try and tell me then, I want to know the result too, thanks).
I have to say...Leo, your reviews are the best! So comprehensive and informative! Simply the best! And you play so well! Hope I could play like you! Best wishes from Finland!
So much more than a review indeed! I really love the song! The transition into the shuffle is very interesting and I really like it! Your playing is outstanding and the vide vibrato is killer! Thank you for what you do for the community!
I used my ME-80 for years to create some pretty nice David Gilmour tones, that sounded pretty authentic live or recorded. I then upgraded to the GX-100 when it launched and struggled to get my head around it so bought the ME-90 recently when it launched. I copied in my my ME-80 presets manually, and they are largely the same with a few tweaks to the amp/effects settings. I had put my guitar down for many weeks because of how I was struggling, but the ME-90 has changed that. I recommend it particularly for small bands as it is versatile, sounds good and can run on batteries - a giggers dream imho. I am not crticising the GX-100 of course, but I have found the concepts of the ME-90 easier to transfer, as I suppose is to be expected. Both great units and both very much worth considering, and I think BOSS have made a masterstroke with this new unit. I simply adore your Paoletti too, and am very jealous. They are beautiful instruments.
There’s a fourth solution to the knobs. The display could display up/down arrows (like the tuner mode does) to show where to move the knob to get to the saved position of the touched parameter. BassStation 2 synth does that.
Ovviamente recensione eccellente come sempre!
That battery option is great. I can confirm that this unit also works with an external usb powerbank and special centre negative barrel to usb cable. I hate to use adapters in wall sockets...why? Noise. That was probably the reason Brian May recorded his guitar work on all Queen albums with a small battery powered amp. 😜
Thank you Leo. Really enjoyed your thoughts. I used the ME 80 for years and loved it and now i got the ME 90 to hopefully enjoy for the same amount of years. Love them! Easy to use and a great sound too! :) XXX
I hope those footswitches are built to last. Past units with similar looking switches were prone to failure. Other than that, I think it's smart to keep a no-screen, all-knob unit in Boss' line-up. A lot of us like turning knobs more than scrolling through menus. Nice Paoletti guitar, by the way.
Thank you for sharing your findings! I think it's the same foot switch design used for the ME 80. I'm not sure if for the ME 80 there were failures...but it could be used as a reference. Yes, I do agree...the Paoletti is a fantastic guitar!
I have had the ME-80 for about 8 years and it is built like a tank. The pedals will last 100 years. In every way, these BOSS MFX pedals are built for life.
I am so happy to have found your channel. Your approach to reviews is exceptionell. Right now I am looking in your playlist to watch another of your Videos, because your share so interesting experiences along the way. By the way, this was totally convincing to me, at to buy this unit feels right and easy which is rare in today days with so much different options at hand. Thank you Leo
I’ve been wanting the GX100 but I worry that it’s too big to use with my amp, live on stage. I hate having tons of gear. This seems like the perfect compromise, I LOVE the battery operation! Less wires is better for me, and it seems more lightweight and portable. Thanks for the video sir! Absolutely awesome 😎
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the video!!!! Thank you also for sharing your findings...yes...I'm also liking more and more the battery operations...
I love the ME line isn’t being abandoned because the concept to me was always really great. Having individual sections and just a lot of knobs to manipulate the board is just awesome and the freeze feature coming back is a big selling point for me. I had the ME-25 a long while ago and that had the freeze function as an option for the expression pedal but, the ME-70 which my buddy got didn’t have it. I never got an me-80 because I was no longer as interested in all-in-one units during that time but, this pedal is calling me back!
Leo.. I really, really, liked how you demonstrated the way you got the tone you wanted with this device. I think you should incorporate this with other demos sir.. Maybe as a suggestion you would or could do this with the other products or as seperate videos just showing us how you get your tones.. It's very good.. Just a suggestion sir..
Thank you for your suggestion! Yes, it's a good idea...even if the risk is to become repetitive, as the tendency I have is to try to get the tone I like...that could be similar from devicee to device... Thank you!
I had a me25, there was a way to know the values, you need to hold some button and then turn the knob, the screen will show the curent value without changing it until you release the button. I don't remember which button, but you should find it in the manual
Hi, thank you for sharing! When you turn the knobs, the value is shown, but I'm not able to find a way to show the value of a specific knob just after having change the preset a without moving it....
Hi Leo.. Watching this again as I'm really thinking about one of these. With a solid state analogue amp believe it or not.. I hate maintenance on a tube amp.. Man, your legatto is amazing brother.. You're just an amazing player sir.. Very cool song and great playing my friend.. Just had to tell you.. Love that guitar too.. It's a jewel sir! The tone does cut.. Thanks brother.. Be well sir and regards from the heartland (South Central Indiana. ) USA Tim
Thank you sooooo much, I'm really happy that you like the music!!! Yes, I would really like to make an album...but it is so time consuming...and I would have to sacrifice the time I spend for YT videos...it's a difficult choice...
@@LeoGibsonGtr but you know it is your destiny right ? The gods Demand an Album ! ;) xx Whatever the case , your UA-cam vids are fantastic as should you do I’d buy an album you made that’s for sure
I saw the Boss announcement on their website and immediately checked your channel, and sure enough, 7 hours ago you posted a video about it. I wish they were announcing a software update for GT-1000 instead😂 but this is still good. Also I like the "beard" and t-shirt instead of the usual white button shirt.
Thank you sooo much!!!! Yes, it was so late in the night....I didn't think about the beard and the shirt...I was just fully immersed in the recording process....😀
Don't really care for the amp models. Clean and high gain are easy and Roland had that wired with the JC-120 and the Heavy Metal pedal decades ago. However, I still don't think any modeler can do a convincing "edge-of-breakup" sound (think Tom Petty songs...) but you are the only review I have seen on this unit that even bothered to try, so kudos. Where this review really shines is the excellent wisdom you share about crafting tones and placing them in a mix. Brilliant and spot on in every respect.
Hi, yes I do agree...the edge of the breakup tone is the most difficult one to mimic for a modeller (in my opinion). I'm really happy that you like the section of the video where I set up the tones of the demo song....I was unsure if to put in the video or not...as it is pretty personal...and I'm really happy that you find it interesting!!!
Sounds great. I love the ME80 and have used mine since it first came out. I'm a gigging musician and have recently thought about buying another as a back up & I've only just discovered the ME90. My first question 'have they improved the reverb? Any more settings beyond the 3 just on a knob on the 80?.' I was hoping for an RV-6 to be put on there, though maybe that's expecting a bit much :). It's very frustrating that they haven't added to the ME 80 and have the reverb more adjustable though, and especially not including a plate setting. Great review anyway, cheers!
I really like my ME80, ya some of the sounds could be a little better, but having knobs is what does it for me, because my eyesight isn't so good, and I hate having to scroll menus. Real time control that can be adjusted on the fly like a pedal board, makes it way easier to use for us simple minded guitarists.
@@ericskinner7355 I agree. My eyesight is terrible and I don't enjoy ending up spending a lot of time programming patches through a small screen rather than playing. I have a Sonicake Matribox that I like, but I spent time tweaking about 10 channels and basically just use those, and they are pretty good. I would however like something that's more tactful and maybe a little better quality which is why I'm looking into the ME-90. Haven't made any kind of decision but I'm still looking at videos.
@@mr.d.572 l'm thinking about one too but I wish they would have put in some better reverbs and more stereo effects. I also want to see how much better the AIRD is compared to the COSM .
Ciao Leo, I have been following the ME-90's reviews, and I was waiting for yours, of course! I am getting the ME-80 next month, since where I live the 90 will not come yet. When I go to the USA again, I will definitely get it! Like you, I am used to Boss! Sad it doesn't have plate or pingpong. And I am used to the knobs not being where they originally should be, so it is not really a bad thing to me. I used to have the ME-70, so I will follow the ME way... And that while I save for the GT-1000!
I used the Boss ME80 for years. Good unit. I still have it. This tech looks a little dated now though. I thought they would have come out with a POD Go type unit. That seems to be the trend. You have your flagship model, your stomp model, and your budget model.
Ciao Leo, come sempre recensione accuratissima, grazie.
Grazie!
Beautiful intro 😊😊 Gave me chills 💯 Good review. Great channel buddy. Take care 😎👍👋👋🎸🎸✌️✌️. I have a Nux MG30. Love it. But I'm going to purchase this one too. Soon 👍💯
Excellent review! Just bought one and was looking for something comprehensive. You gave me that. Thanks so much. I now have a good general idea of how this thing works. Cheers!
Wow Leo.. What a great song.. I love that Strat style guitar.. Not the Suhr, but the other one.. I love the Suhr too, but that Green strat is killer and sounds great.. Your legato playing is epic sir.. You're just really good my friend. Great song.. You write really well, play outstanding and record well.. Is there anything you can't do with guitar..? 🤣 Regards from the heartland. South Central Indiana. USA Tim
It's fine that it's done with knob tweaking, but there should still be a nice color display just to show at a glance a name for the patch, and some other useful information. It doesn't need to have a menu diving GUI to benefit from a nice splash of color info and it would look more modern with it.
Dear Leo, your review is very detailed and your presentation is very professional. I'm learning a lot from your videos. I have a question about the ME90: Is the casing metal or plastic? Considering to update from ME80. Thank you 🙏
Hi, thank you so much, I'm really happy that you found the video useful. I think the case is plastic with some metal parts especially in the back of the unit. Nevertheless the unit feels very solid. Thank you!
Hi Leo, once again you have recorded a beautiful demo song. I really like how you explained recording without reverb and without delay. This could help a lot of people. But I have two big questions. The first is Noise-gate. Is it possible to turn off the noise gate in the ME-90? And the second very important question: Master volume and bypass. When all effects are off. Is the guitar thru or is the master volume still on? Thanks for the answers. Thomas
Thank you sooo much, I'm really happy that you have appreciated the video! As regards your questions: > noise gate: yes, you can turn it off when the range is set to 0 > master volume: I think it is still on, but I'm not 100% sure....I'm sorry.
I have an old Boss GT-6, which was a different design, but achieved many of the same sounds, effects, and functionality of the ME-80. I enjoyed the unit until the multi-selector Pots started randomly changing settings. I hope Boss is using better designed/more duable Pots on the ME-90.
A video comparing the ME 90 and the GX-100 which is the next in line would be fine. What does the 200 € step up brings. As well as a comparison with the trident from NUX. Have you ever addressed the fact the NUX and BOSS often have very similar product, NUX being the more affordable of the two. Is it a concerted effort, or just NUX targeting BOSS in a way?
Hi, yes, both are great suggestions for video comparisons! I would add that in this case the Trident is more expensive compared to the ME 90....nevertheless I didn't notice such parallelism...I have to think about it. Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr thanks Leo, the 2 examples which comes to mind are the tape echos the RE 2 and the NUX have the same colours. And now the trident and the me-90. Maybe I am over thinking 🤔. Keep on your great work!
Leo, your comments about adding LED knobs in the future is right on the mark. Without it, tweeking presets is unpredictable (you can use the app but generally not what this unit is about). I remember such LED knobs even on my old Peavy Vipyr amp from decades ago.
Thank you so much! Actually, thanks to some of your comments, there should be a way to display the value of the knob in the screen....I am experimenting with that option and I will let you know. Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr Ah you are right, I seem to recall that from playing around with the ME-80. Its not ideal but better than nothing, if indeed its on that little lcd
Master could you please make a review of the BOSS ME 80. I know is an old unit, but I always hear nice comments about this pedal, also is cheaper in this days.
Great video. It is clear you have an incredible understanding of tone and effects. I am very much a novice that would like to learn more about this. I know that experimentation is key method, but my immediate goal is to set up tones and effects similar to song covers. Is there a source I can go to that can link a song to settings on this pedal? For example, how can i match the tones to Santana's Europa, or Oye Como Va?
HI, thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the video. Actually, I don't know if there is a specific source. What I would do is to understand the amp and guitar used but the guitarist and then I would try to replicate the setting with the modellers.
It is finally sinking in that the guitar sound you need to record may not be the punchy, thuddy sound that you think you want to hear, but one that cuts through the mix and not adding unnecessary low end frequencies.
Hi Leo ! Little offtop, but are you going to make a test of the new Liquid Profiling of Kemper and how it compares to the competitors ? ( NAM, Tonex ). Really looking forward to see such a video, because your comparsion are the most valuable ones at least for me haha. Cheers !
Hi Micha...good point...that's another video I would like to do... I'm struggling to keep on with all these news.... I have some reviews to finish and some comparison many are asking for....but I have to find the time also to test the new Kemper liquid.... Thank you soooo much, and I'm really happy that you found the videos valuable!!!!
At least we know ONE thing about this Boss product: it's going to last and last. This definitely counts with me plus the AIRD Amp modeling is absolutely "real feel" cutting edge too.
I don't know if I understand this correctly about the values for the knobs doesn't match the setting on the knob when you change to another patch. Maybe you know this, I just saw it in another video that, if you hold down the edit button when you turn any knob it shows the real value of the setting. English is not my first language but I hope it makes sense anyway,
The LED rings around the knobs is a great idea. Peavey and Behringer have been doing that for decades. Endless rotary encoders. Probably would increase the price too much though.
my opinion is a cropped version of the gt-1000, but the effects with effects control are brought to the panel for the convenience of working on stage, the sound is the same, but the possibilities are slightly less than in the gt-1000
Excellent review and excellent demo!!! A question Mr. Gibson, I've had an ME 80 for three years and I like it a lot because it's like having analog pedals in a compact device, however sometimes I don't like distortions very much, you recommend switch to this new model? Is it an important evolution compared to the ME 80 model?
Thank you, I'm really happy that you like the demo!!! Actually I never had the ME 80, therefore I can't tell from direct experience, but the ME 90 is based on AIRD, where the 80 is the old COSM, and for what I have understood is pretty noticeable. Thank you so much!
Great demo song as usual. This box looks a little dated and although it sounds good, the NUX stuff and other competitors appear to be way ahead of BOSS. Would be cool to see/hear a shootout between this and the Trident. God bless and rock on 🎸👍😎
Thank you sooo much, I'm really happy that you like the video!!! Yes, I have tried Fractal product in the past...I still have an Axe FX II that I bough around 2012...if I remember it well and I also have the FM 3 that I have reviewed in the channel. In the channel there are also many comparisons...for instance FM3 vs Quad Cortex or FM 3 vs Line 6, etc... Thank you for your question!
ME-90! a crazy man`s pedal board in one ;) I wonder if Trident got you inspired with it`s knobs. Leo, you`re crazy guy head of processors ;) like me. and, what a tune it is,Boss should pay for this one. Any piece of gear just needs someone to use it right, I wonder its is. There are so many people who just don't want, or need, a huge touch-screen LCD on their modelers. No one wants to fiddle around on a touch-screen during live performances! Something like the ME-90 and NUX Trident will probably also survive a lot longer than a Helix or Quad Cortex. Hi, thank you for sharing! Of course these units have a specific target market....I have to say that this approach is nice and the more you use it ... the more you enjoy it...
No need to touch the screen during live performance.. just prepare and programme the patches at the studio..and with just one click of the foot switches you get what you want..

Hi Dave, thank you so much for sharing your experience!
Hello, thanks for the video! I have been a ME80 user for at least seven years. I recently switched to try mooer and gt100... today I bought a me90, and I'm sure I'll be happy!
Hi, thank you so much for sharing your experience!
After 8 months care to share your opinion of the ME-90?
Hello Mr.

Thank you so much for such amazing compliments!!! I'm really happy that you like the video and the music....it really means a lot to me!!!
Hi, thank you for sharing! Yes, it's nice to have some tactile knobs to play with...nicer that I thought at the beginning...
Thank you!
Would be great to see a direct comparison between this and the NU-X Leo! Keep up the great work! 🏆
Pienso que estan pensados para hacer cosas diferentes. El Boss está creado para tocar con amplis. A mi forma de ver el NU-X no.
Yes, I also want to do such a video.... I need time...as these comparisons are pretty complex.
Thank you!
@@facundocantero6022I use my mg30 into the return of two amps with 2 x 12s in them. It's Awesome

Hi, thank you so much for sharing your experience and your findings!!!

Good job!

I use the boss ir200 and I can say that their amp modeling is excellent!
Hi, thank you for sharing!
Hi, thank you sooo much for sharing your experience and your findings!!!
Yes, the Paoletti is super.... 😀
There’s a fourth solution to the knobs. The display could display up/down arrows (like the tuner mode does) to show where to move the knob to get to the saved position of the touched parameter. BassStation 2 synth does that.
Thank you for sharing!
Ovviamente recensione eccellente come sempre!
Ciao Raffaele, si concordo con te.
Grazie per il complimento, sono contento che il video ti piaccia!
Yes, that battery option is very handy! Thank you for sharing!
For the system latency, BOSS is The BEST than others!
Thank you for sharing!
Love my me 80, will buy this 90 for sure

Thank you for another outstanding review and the time it takes to produce these videos, we all appreciate it greatly.
Wow Jack, thank you so much for such an amazing compliment and I'm really happy that you like the video!!!
It's er, Boss 👍
Thank you for sharing your findings! I think it's the same foot switch design used for the ME 80. I'm not sure if for the ME 80 there were failures...but it could be used as a reference.
Yes, I do agree...the Paoletti is a fantastic guitar!
I have had the ME-80 for about 8 years and it is built like a tank. The pedals will last 100 years. In every way, these BOSS MFX pedals are built for life.

Absolutely awesome 😎
probably around the same size
Hi Josè, thank you so much for sharing your experience and your findings!!!

Hi, thank you for sharing!
I don't have the ME 80, but I think the reverbs are pretty similar between the two machines.
Your Preset is like Song I kmew I love you...😊
Thank you so much!!!!
I really like my ME80, ya some of the sounds could be a little better, but having knobs is what does it for me, because my eyesight isn't so good, and I hate having to scroll menus. Real time control that can be adjusted on the fly like a pedal board, makes it way easier to use for us simple minded guitarists.
Hi, thank you for sharing!!! Yes, this tactile experience is nice!

I agree.

I had the Pod Go for around two days before sending it back, garbage I'm afraid
They already released the GX100.
Yea the gx 100 is the pod go competitor. A little pricier than the pod go, but more dsp power and routing options.
I always thought of the GX100 in the Helix LT territory rather than Pod Go.
@@robotx4242 the helix lt is $1200, gx 100 is $600. The gt-1000 is the helix competitor

Thomas

As regards your questions:
> noise gate: yes, you can turn it off when the range is set to 0
> master volume: I think it is still on, but I'm not 100% sure....I'm sorry.
Your playing is just beautiful sir. Thank you.

I didn't even check any reviews. Bought the me90. It's great.
Hi, thank you for sharing!
I have an old Boss GT-6, which was a different design, but achieved many of the same sounds, effects, and functionality of the ME-80. I enjoyed the unit until the multi-selector Pots started randomly changing settings. I hope Boss is using better designed/more duable Pots on the ME-90.
Hi, thank you for sharing! Unfortunately I never had the GT 6, therefore I can't check out if the pots are different...

Master could you please make a review of the BOSS ME 80. I know is an old unit, but I always hear nice comments about this pedal, also is cheaper in this days.
Hi, thank you for your suggestion!
Unfortunately I don't have it....
It is your fault.......................That I tomorrow have to buy a ME-90 ;)
Great review and great song!
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the song!!!
It is finally sinking in that the guitar sound you need to record may not be the punchy, thuddy sound that you think you want to hear, but one that cuts through the mix and not adding unnecessary low end frequencies.
Yes, I do agree...the tone has to fit with the song...
Thank you for sharing!
I don't know if I understand this correctly about the values for the knobs doesn't match the setting on the knob when you change to another patch. Maybe you know this, I just saw it in another video that, if you hold down the edit button when you turn any knob it shows the real value of the setting.
English is not my first language but I hope it makes sense anyway,
Hi, I have done a video with some in depth functionalities, that included: here you can check it out: ua-cam.com/video/0PpeoT_cS58/v-deo.html
Thanks!
The LED rings around the knobs is a great idea. Peavey and Behringer have been doing that for decades. Endless rotary encoders. Probably would increase the price too much though.
Yes, I do agree!!!
Also Zoom G11 does it (for amp section knobs).
That's correct. Thanks
my opinion is a cropped version of the gt-1000, but the effects with effects control are brought to the panel for the convenience of working on stage, the sound is the same, but the possibilities are slightly less than in the gt-1000
Hi, thank you for sharing!
NO XLR Out !!!
Awesome Playing 👍
Thank you for sharing and I'm really happy that you like the playing!!!
Nux Trident vs Boss me90 please!!!!
Yes, thank you!!! I need time to do it....😀👍
Excellent review and excellent demo!!!
God bless and rock on 🎸👍😎
Thank you sooo much!!! Thank you also for sharing your findings....and of course a video comparison between the 2 is interesting... I need time...😀
Hi Leo, great review! I loved it. I have a question, have you ever tried any of the Fractal Processors like the FM3 or FM9? Thank you.
Great playing as always!👏👏👏🤘🤩
Thank you sooooo much!!!
ME-90! a crazy man`s pedal board in one ;) I wonder if Trident got you inspired with it`s knobs. Leo, you`re crazy guy head of processors ;) like me. and, what a tune it is,Boss should pay for this one. Any piece of gear just needs someone to use it right, I wonder its is. If someday you`re going to explore GSP-2101 ;)
Thank you!
Yes, also the Trident is a nice unit....As regards the GSP-2101, I don't own it...therefore I should buy it ... I can't guarantee...maybe...
Thank you!
Demo at the beginning. Vai-ish stuff, like it. or go listen to Blackstratblues similar and very good stuff
