Hi there! It's been 4 years since you did this project. I would like to know, after all these years, which method holds up the image the best? Is the color fading?
I love the way everything looks so simple on UA-cam. I tried several different types of glue to glue the wax paper to the printing paper, none of them worked. I ended up having to tape it. My print did not come out at all- tried it a couple of times. A couple of years ago I used the Mod Podge method. Wow, I can't believe how easy it was for the person on this video! After attempting to make several of these, two came out nice. To get those to come out nice, it took literally days of wetting and rubbing very gently several times a day to get it to come out right. Even doing that, several did not come out right. I ended up rubbing off parts of the photo that gave it white spots everywhere even though I was being super super gentle.
Also regarding mod podge: You must rub off residue a few times. After I finished mine it looked great. I used my printer at home. I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8720
You do not have to use laser jet rinted photos to transfer them with the mod podge or gel. You may want to ken the print a little bit more if the wood or surface that you are transferring to is a lighter color or transparent. But, you do not have to use the laser jet printer, the ink jet printer on normal paper works just as well
i think the rub off method looks a lot better, more work but worth it... it shows the grain of the wood I have tried many different ways and this is the best others look like a piece of paper was just glued to the wood, and we want the hard work to show off just my opinion.
Los mejores y más cordiales Saludos desde puente piedra, lima, Perú, ojalá que puedas venir en algún momento a mi país y que disfrutes mucho de todo por aquí, con la familia y los amigos, felicidades por tus vídeos...
I think your suppose to put the blue clear paper over the photo then when you peel it off the photo it does make the photo sticky therefore when you place it on the wood it will stick and then wet the back the white part just slides off because the photo is stuck to the clear and onto the wood.
You don't have to let it dry for 24-hours! Put your picture in the oven on the lowest temperature about 15 to 20 minutes take it out let it cool down soak your rag put it on it and let it sit for about 10 minutes the paper will come right off. Then take some clear coat and clear coat the picture you will have amazing results!
I’ve done one a couple years ago for my parents and it’s still perfectly fine! The Color is still strong and nothing faded away! Defenetly add a layer of modpoge on top of the picture to seal it. I want do to another one this that’s why I’m back to this video to make sure I still know how to do it lol
Every time I try to do this I end up with fuzzy crap all over this pic and when I rub it off the pic comes up with it. I wait like 20 hours after I set the picture. Please help!
Toma Toma1 day agoHi. I have tried to transfer a text to wood by gel medium looking step by step your video. Chose First time it was fine, text on wood was clear. Then tried other text that I printed by different printer, the text spread out, not clear. What is the reason, paper type, ink type or anything else? Thanks you very much
Interesting. Thanks for all the options. New sub here. Tfs. I put a pic on tile by putting mod podge on it setting a print on it and then mod podge the picture a few times. Never tried wood. 💚❤ from PA
My boyfriend's birthday is October 27th I'm trying to have something like that done with his mom and his brother his brother passed away years ago his mother recently just passed last month thing is I don't have a picture of both of them together could I send you or is there a place where I could send two pictures and they can combine it into one to stated into a wood
consider trying a couple printer copies combined different ways. You can print stuff at the library (.25 cents) or post office. mod podge & wood at the dollar store. be as creative as you are kind. Sweet gift for Christmas also. May God bless you both with peace and blessed assurance.
It's actually called Mod Podge. It's a type of glue. Most craft stores carry it, but you can also get it at Wal-Mart stores and even most Dollar Tree stores!
I'm looking to do this on a shotgun stock. I've spent the last 30 minutes looking for a decent video, and this one is the best so far!
How did the shotgun stock turn out
This is the BEST compilation I have come across yet! I can actually use what I have on hand to get this done, yay! Tfs! 💜💜💜

Try again tammy....
The same happened to me, I’ve tried about 6 of them and they all ended the same was, very discouraging!!

You didn't use a laser printer to transfer a picture?
Did you HAVE to wait the full 24hrs or can You Put it under a Light heat to dry then do it afterwards

so can i use just a regular picture? like printed onto picture paper?
@@harleylewis5540no u don't have to have the image on picture paper. Regular printer paper works to
If you wet a stiff tooth brush with water the second method works great.
Shurena Carmona great tip!
i dont hqve a printer .im a beginner. can you transfer from just regular prints photos
Love the Mod Podge method! 😍 Have a quick question..Can regular Mod Podge be used, instead of Mod Podge Photo transfer?
i think the rub off method looks a lot better, more work but worth it... it shows the grain of the wood I have tried many different ways and this is the best others look like a piece of paper was just glued to the wood, and we want the hard work to show off just my opinion.
Guurrlll lets do this! Im totally trying these methods rn. Making xmas ornaments.
Do you put a laayer of mod podge onto the wood before you apply the photo
I want to know if I paint the inside back of the vase can I modge podge a photo on top of it?
How do you know what side of the wax paper to use? It’s hard to tell
The modge podge seems more vibrant.
Mary Jones agreed
Does it matter which side of the wax paper you use? I don't want to sound stupid but just wondering if it mattered?
Could we use photo printer shiny kind paper
umm can u plz tell which paper u used in the laser printer one? plz reply before 22 jan
How are you printing on the wax paper mine keeps getting stuck in the printer?
Hi did you use wax paper on top of pepper bit confused
I think the wood should be damp (like your skin is) before you do the tattoo transfer. Then the picture will get sticky and stay on the wood better.
Thank you for sharing.I had a failed mod podge application even with laser print. I cant wait to try wax paper tonight. Great idea. thanks again
My wax paper keeps getting stuck in my printer, is there any advice to avoid this?
Did you put the glue on the paper before you put the paper in the printer? If so, is that ok for the printer?
If I don't have a laser printer where do I go to get a picture printed like that?
Any office supply store with a printing area.
Do you use a thick layer of modge podge or a thin layer on the wood?
Can you use regular copier paper? Do I need quick transfer?
what printer paper do I use? or what printer? I have a regular printer does that work?
Have a question for the wax one what type of printer did you use??

Hi I'm doing this myself but I was wondering if you can use clear glue?
when using tattoo transfer paper hot water and firm press for 30-45 seconds and the u can clear coat the picture to seal it
Hi how are you doing I just subscribed to your channel Iam watching your video right now you doing a great job
here.s a hint dampen wood then sand wood slice will be smooth as glass
can i just use an old already printed photo??
Thank you for sharing!!! amazing!! I'll definitely try this 💜
Have you tried Sublimation ink & Sublimation paper to do photo transfers onto wood?
I think your suppose to put the blue clear paper over the photo then when you peel it off the photo it does make the photo sticky therefore when you place it on the wood it will stick and then wet the back the white part just slides off because the photo is stuck to the clear and onto the wood.

Sorry just learning. So you took wax paper & glued it to regular printing paper then put in printer?
Dawn Hubert yes! Wax paper is to thin to go through the printer and not get ruined!
I use the tattoo paper all the time for wood slices. I use the green sticky sheet every time & it releases very easy. Turns out great every time!
Does any1 know if cvs does inkjet? Prob not right?
Has anyone done a trial run on whether or not they last? Totally going to do this for Christmas if they’ll actually last a good amount of time!
I’ve done one a couple years ago for my parents and it’s still perfectly fine! The Color is still strong and nothing faded away! Defenetly add a layer of modpoge on top of the picture to seal it. You need to use the blue paper with the tattoo paper as it has a special glue stuff on it so the image sticks.
can i write name on it after using first method?
I loved your video sister 😊
FIVE STARS 👋😆
Every time I try to do this I end up with fuzzy crap all over this pic and when I rub it off the pic comes up with it. I wait like 20 hours after I set the picture. Please help!
When you get it wet, sometime the paper becomes invisible, so continue getting it wet and rubbing it, once all the paper is off it won’t be there.
Is your printer a laser printer 🖨 or ink jet

can i use a photo paper?
I use rose oil it makes it shiny
You can use wood glue aswell
Great instructional video, but please film horizontal for videos. It was a very small frame I have bad eyes.
can I use a ink jet printer?
Clark Ward, you can’t use it for mod podge because it starts to run so use a laser printer
Never thought to use a glue stick to adhere wax paper to printer paper, been cutting strips of tape and taping. THANKS!!!!
She didn’t show what went on with photo before she did it. How did they photo just transfer?
Probably little late but like tattoos I think u have to wet the wood a little like dampin it
why did my first trial make the photo peel off? after rub the paper.
Aldy Rachmat maybe too much water
thnx for efforts.God bless you and your family
May Satan bless you
@@a01252 I don’t think Satan works that way.

This is great! Thank you so much!
Has anyone tried with regular photo?
Can you just print it normaly
on number 3 use a poly finish on the wood first (acrylic/urethane) then lay your picture
greg macarthur do you let the urethane dry completely??
clearcoat for cars does the same thing, just thinner layer. alows the grain to "pop" through
just watched a video of someone using nail polish remover to transfer personal sketches. will be trying this asap.
