    I Just found your channel and I’ve been jumping rope for 6 months since August last year. The rope actually found me funny enough just as I committed to permanently quit a vaping/nicotine habit after nearly 10years. I haven’t touched it since but have found a profound love for the sport, I forgot that’s even the reason why I started. I also did not realize there was such an incredible world attached to jumping rope. I also dance when I skip see that other skippers are doing the same. I don’t think I’ve ever found something that makes me feel more like myself than what I’ve been able to explore with my rope. It now has began to fray and the cable is splitting so I’m going to gift myself with the your inferno ropes for my birthday this year. Thank you for making this channel and for the brilliant branding and design of your service. I can even see that your house has changed from this video to the one you did with Lauren. It’s heartwarming to see how true passions are always blessed and favored by the divine. Thank you again 🙏🏽🤍 Can’t wait to try the new ropes!

    I think this is a good way of measuring. I've got long arms and short legs so the normal method that is height-focused doesn't work for me. Thank you.

    This is why I love I found you channel. I have always had sizing issues using the standard method but looking at this made me think of wing span. At 5'11 my wing span is 76 inches which is equivalent to someone 6'2 with a all the ropes coming in a 9 feet and using the standard size it looks like it fits perfect but not so much. Then when I thought about it, Mayweathers reach 72 inches which is longer than his standard height that's why he has such success with a longer rope. Whoala so now I have an excuse to buy your 10 foot rope;). Memo: If you aint trying to be "Slick" at all times when you are doing something, it ain't worth doing!(put that on a shirt). Keep up the good work!!!

    Your method ended being the proper one given the fact that I could not tighten up the rope no matter where I was placing my wrists in relation to my hips. Good stuff!

  • @Miller2h41
    @Miller2h41 3 роки тому +1

    I use both methods. First I'll use the underarm technique then start rotating to get a feel if its just clipping the ground like I want it to and when its right then I feel good but if not then I'll use the knot method because adjusting is nothing more then a hassle and headache.

    I have quite a few questions, if you don't mind answering.1. Tying knot near the handle or near the centre which is better? Which one has better benefits?2. Do a tutorial on TS. Its crisscrossing behind you. There aren't much tutorial about it. Your one will be very helpful.3. Few people complain about their money rope breaking at the handle. I think its a quality control issue with the handles
    , some handle are produced defect so where the rope comes out it might be sharp instead of round and smooth. Because my rope's completely fine after 9 months of regular use.4. Any tips on growing taller for adolescents?5. 11 feet rope not available on amazon. Taller people will need it.6. Long or short handles better?

  • @GoProMeetsAeon
    @GoProMeetsAeon 6 років тому +53

    The knots are definitely the best method for shortening the rope because it keeps the weight on the rope so you can still feel that burn rather than cutting weight off and losing that extra weight. Great video as always!

But, don't get me wrong you're one of the best jump rope coaches I've seen on UA-cam and overall on internet, you do a great work, the slow motions moves, explanations, I've not found nothing similar. How many knots would you recommend for someone who’s 5’8 and is trying to do the mayweather/rushie/endurance style

      Hey mate, tbh I would try maybe 3 knots and see how it feels. If it’s still too long..cut around 1 inch off and add some knots again until the balance of the rope feels good for you 🙏🏽

    Where can we get a Rush Athletics mat? Just bought the 10ft yellow one. Cause I'm 5'11 will I need 4 knots?

      Hey pal, mats are available on my official website. Link in the bio 🙏🏽
      I think 2-3 knots will be good based on your technique and how comfortable you feel with it 👍🏽😊 thanks for supporting! Hope you enjoy the rope!

    Thanks RUSH! I need the recap on rope sizing. I didnt think to do the triple knot on the rope as I just resided by clipping the ends completely off. No worries, will be ordering a couple of new ropes from you in a couple weeks and will triple knot next time😉
