      Was wondering if you could do a slow motion from different angles? I have been having a few issues with finding my dominant hand and keeping my timing while transitioning?

    Hi Rushi! So, as you sad at the end, with being a big fan of yours I'm a very little part of your motivation, well, you and your videos are a huge slice of mine! Thanks for this tutorial, I've begun using the side swing pretty much as a transition since I watched your first tutorial about it a couple months ago.
    I can't wait to watch a double under side swing one, that would be a great addition for my workouts!
    Keep on going beast!

    Hi Rush, that is a great tutorial. Thank you a lot for that.
    If the dominant hand is the left one, you do left side first (1) keeping your left hand on the top as bring the rope from the right side (2) and you skip under the feets (3).
    So far so good.
    Now I would like to alternate, starting to do the sides from the right side first (1) and bring the rope to the left side (2) before I bounce (3).
    What would be the mechanics of the hands given that the dominant one is the left hand.

    I have so much trouble with side swings- my rope just seems to want to tangle- I can do them but not consistently- my rope eventually tangles- I have now ordered a money rope which I’m sure will help. I’ve checked my current rope and it’s definately thinner and worn out towards the middle and that may be affecting it. Any thoughts?

    Huge fan ! Ordered your rope and I was wondering how durable it is ? . E.g.. can I jump rope with it on a tennis court, tiles, or a tar road ? Because all my other ropes that I used on these surfaces broke...do I need to buy a mat ?

    • @DannyJsPlace

      egg on toast is bomb Skipping on hard surfaces usually damages a rope quicker. It is more beneficial if you skip on smooth surfaces such as gym flooring. If you ever skip outside it is advised you bring a mat with you.

    • @peterpeterson125
      @peterpeterson125 6 років тому

      Sorry mate, I have to comment this one. i skip almost daily (bout 20-30 min) and i never managed to break any of my ropes, in fact i am still using the one i bought few years ago and even the recent one from rushie, still does not show any signs of damage..i think there must be def something "wrong" with your surface, 'cause these cables are fairly stable..

    DO NOT CUT THE ROPE WHEN YOU SIZE IT! just tie knots. they help with a little bit more weight to keep momentum.

    • @uno3863
      @uno3863 6 років тому +1

      Tracy Young that's right, no cutting needed!! I tied one knot on each side and I still kinda trip sometimes , then I saw this video and noticed Rushie had only one knot on one side, I'm gonna try that and see if it's better

    • @RushAthleticsTV

    Learning this currently. I have done this move for years but incorrectly, which is by swinging to my non dominant side first. So now that I’m a bit older my knees aren’t the greatest but jumping rope is not a problem for me and I thoroughly enjoy it. So now I’m at the point where I REALLY want to try to master the techniques even though it’s kind of frustrating to trip up anyway your videos are AWESOME! Thank you 😊

    Great vid, bruh! Until I watched it, I struggled mightily with side swings (which I've never understood as I can do high speed crosses with my eyes closed). Your two keys that really hit home are quiet shoulders (to which I'd add quiet hips) and swinging to your dominant side first. One other thought: beginners might find it easier to start with the basic bounce rather than boxer shuffle.

    Can you make like just a raw video of how one of your training sessions go? I find it so inspiring to see you pull off all those crazy fast paced combinations and i would literally watch like a 40 minute video of just that

    Another fantastic tutorial Rushie, I've kept up my 30 min HIIT workout at least 4 days a week for months now and feel great, I use the resistance bands once a week too, only me jumping in the gym normally although I can feel eyes on me whilst guys are at the water machine, over the last few weeks I've had people approaching me asking me all about skipping, cardio, all saying basically how easy I make it look(which made me smile)blah blah, anyways I recommended the money rope and this channel and this morning there was 4 of us jumping. I told them to ditch the dreadmill and come fly with us!

    Thanks for going into the footwork! Was looking all over for this. Seems obvious, but hasn’t been natural for me at all

    The S swing is the first step to the 180 turn around, when the rope is on the side turn around (180D) and meet the rope at the back of your feet. Walk through it slowly. When the rope meets the back of your feet, stop, and start over.
