Hello everybody, and welcome back to the channel, and welcome to Goldeneye 007 for the N64 (and now also the Xbox and Switch). Today, we will be ranking every weapon in the game.
I will be doing more Goldeneye content in the future to compliment my Sniper Elite content, so do stick around for that.

Finally someone who mentions the Silver PP7 and the Gold PP7.
Those weapons always seem to be left out in ranking lists for some reason;
I guess probably because they are cheat weapons and thus "don't count" in that way, and probably also because a lot of the casual players never see them.
With logic then the tazer,magnum,and a few other weapons wouldn't count either since they're unobtainable in any levels and are only cheat weapons
Exactly, but if they did count, then Golden PP7 would be the best gun. If not, then I would say the golden gun from Egyptian would be the best.
I wonder what T Wilson thinks of Diamonds Are Forever. If only there were a way to tell

Accurate ranking to say being unarmed is more useful, lol!
I always just called the KF-7 the "Pencil." Its common, its everywhere, and it is generally reasonably useful.
Edit: oh, and it looks like a pencil.

correction, the shotgun does infact appear in the campaign, its on statue and carried by the janus guards,
UPDATE, i never realised there were 2 types of shotgun in the game wtf! i still learn new stuff about this game lol

"GoldenEye 007" was incredibly successful and popular when it was released in 1997 - it was practically like the shooter equivalent of "Super Mario Bros.", and almost all my friends played it back then. It has of course aged a bit since then, but it still has a lot of charm and gameplay value.
I think the throwing knife is more effective if you throw them at the guards rather than a wall.
Great video. Useful for all the new players and people getting back into the re release
AR33 is overall great to use. Glad to see it get so much (unrecognized) love, having often been eclipsed by the RC-P90 in the game for fan favorites.
calling the phantom "awfully forgettable" is utter heresy, i feel like its generally agreed to be one of the coolest guns in the game, especially given that you only ever find it on frigate. it also has a great sound effect, looks really unique and feels really satisfying to use
I love to dual wield the Cougar magnums and pretend I am Revolver Ocelot. Its a feeling like nothing else.
So I'm not the only one who also does that for that reason 🙂
Spot on about proximity mines in multiplayer, especially in the facility. The most fun ever for me, the bane of my friends.
Fun fact, if you try to reload with some timing as you also try to change weapons with the All Weapons cheat, you can, in fact, wield different weapons at the same time that are not normally wieldable at the same time.
This includes: Being able to wield an RCP-90 and an AR-33 at the same time.
Boom.
This game was well ahead of its time a timeless classic
I still side with the RCP-90 as the best. The zoom of the AR-33 doesn’t make up for the smaller magazine and not as fast firing rate as the RCP-90. Penatraition factor of it is same if not similar for both! Spray and prey all the way for me in this game! 😂
If I were to create an "ultimate weapon setlist" in Multiplayer, then I would probably go with this list:
1. Gold PP7
2. US AR33 Assault Rifle
3. RC-P90
4. Moonraker Laser
5. Remote Mines
6. Body Armor
This set covers as many different uses as possible in the most powerful ways possible:
the Gold PP7 deals fatal damage at high speed, the Assault Rifle penetrates objects and has a good scope, the RC-P90 penetrates objects and has a huge magazine, the Moonraker Laser penetrates objects and has infinite laser shots, the Remote Mines can be detonated whenever you want and can be thrown great distances, and the Body Armor gives you extra protection from damage.
If you allow the all weapons cheat, and the ability to actually dual wield different weapons if you swap at the same time as you reload one of them (causing that weapon to NOT change), then:
1. RCP-90 and AR-33 Dual Wielding.
2. Probably some other fun combo.
Also, Goldeneye is basically my goto example of why cheats can be FUN, and should actually have built-in challenges BASED on cheats. i.e. a challenge mode where you cannot melee or use any other weapon than a rocket launcher with unlimited ammo... in a fairly close quarters level.
I like using the Silver PP7 in Facility to destroy the gas tanks and alert the guards in the side room to let me into to bottling room without the decoder
I’ve fired a “Klobb” in real life. AKA, a CZ Skorpion vz 61, it was a fun and unique machine pistol to use. The problem is it only holds 20 rounds and fires an underpowered 32 caliber round, plus the rate of fire was quite high.

Just one extra thing, hand grenades are also not obtainable on Train, not just on Dam.
Its not very effective but I still love the auto shotgun. Same for the DD44. A winner just because of the sound.
Finally a list where the DD44 is not rank higher than my fav PP7. DD44 sounds nice when firing but it feels weaker and is way less accurate than the PP7.

The Automatic Shotgun does, but the regular one does not

@@TWilsonSE in all seriousness, every machine gun (phantom, kf7 etc...) as well as the sniper are way higher ranked than any pistol; the gold pp7 of course is way better than the silver pp7 because the penetration isn't that relevant due to how few situations there are where enemies are behind silver cradles or objects like that compared to regular situations where enemies aren't; the magnum is not even top 20, the laser is top 3; the proximity mines aren't top 15 and the rcp is the best weapon in the game
It comes down to personal preference and flexibility at the end of the day.
