- A music festival in Israel was the site of one of the first attacks by Hamas over the weekend. Amit Musaei, who attended the festival, joins CBS News to share his story of escape.

Amit was our tour guide for 2 weeks in September and I grew very fond of him. I'm so very glad he is ok, but I'm just sick to hear of his friends that are missing. Amit, I am praying for Selin, Shiraz, and Adir every single day.

I understand the delayed reaction of the concert goers. You just don’t realize what’s happening when one moment changes from another. Our car caught on fire three days ago and I didn’t realize what was happening until some angel of a human stopped and screamed at us to get out of the car. This attack was so fast just like a fire.

What a terror, to have paragliders come in with guns while you're partying. I think I would have fainted before I made it to my car. So sad. Many families on both sides losing their loved ones. I don't think it's been this bad since the early 2000s, if ever.
I’m saddened that the DJs and people in the electronic music community have stayed so silent. Music is the one thing that brings all types of people together. It’s been a safe place away from politics, etc. RIP to all our peaceful raver brothers and sisters and pray for all hostages to be safely brought home to their family and friends. Silence is not an option against terrorists.

It appears they knew about the festival and the utter vulnerability of these beautiful people. My heart breaks.
I was thinking the same thing. I do not believe it was random.
Israel was told of the attack 3 days before, and 2 days out moved the festival to the boarder and moved the IDF to the West Bank.
Most of the people at the festival died in crossfire. Hamas set up military checkpoints and detained people. Israeli forces showed up shooting and killed those detained along with Hamas. Kibbutz Be’eri showed that IDF was specifically targeting Israeli civilians.
Hamas had the elderly and children held in central locations, and IDF targeted those locations with HE rounds from their tanks. They machinegunned the women, and didn't stop targeting Israelis until the last Hamas fighter was dead.
Hannibal Doctrine was used by IDF and they are still using it. US found locations with hostages in GAZA, and IDF bombed them all.

When I saw his eyes initially, I said to myself this man is traumatized. He appears shell shocked by all the horrific things he saw. The pain in his eyes is glaringly obvious. I hope all such survivors are able to heal and do not suffer from survivor's guilt as I heard one man mention.

Thank you for sharing your story, sir. I can't even imagine the atrocities that Israel is having to go through. One thing that stuck out to me during this interview was that the festival concert survivor describes events of that day, then the interviewer asks: If you're used to the rockets & sirens, what made you leave at that time? Uh, common sense! What kind of question was that!?

I used to have some sympathy with Palestinians concerning the settlements. Where Israel took land slowly, - but after this. ALL my sympathy is gone. Hamas should be eradicated and I sincerely hope that nations band together and send soldiers to help and get Hamas removed from the face of the earth all places they are present. (And those Palestinian people in other countries who celebrate this attack should immediately be thrown out of the country they have residency in, and be sent back to Palestine. They are obviously still a part of this thing, eventhough they should have found peace from it when they fled and got a place to stay and help in another country) … in my country we saw supporters who removed flowers put in front of the Israeli embassy in sympathy, they came and kicked and removed the flowers to further mock the suffering their people inflicted on other innocent people. Hamas, and sympathizers and those Muslim people who adhere and belive in this dark way of the Quran should be deeply ashamed of themselves, they are masters of the dark just like ISIS was.

I am asking this question because I want to understand how a person can breach a safe room that a bomb cannot. I thought that a safe room would be completely secure. Where was the baby found? I am having a hard time asking these questions. I am assuming that the parents of the baby put the baby somewhere safe and out of sight. My heart goes out to the parents and all the innocent lives lost. I keep wondering if the parents placed the baby somewhere safe and then sacrificed themselves to protect their child. Such a horrific experience and as a mom have always said I will protect my children with my life and until you are in that situation I pray that I can be as strong as the many mothers and fathers who sacrificed themselves to keep the terrorist from finding and killing there child. One family was able to keep Hamas from opening the door and so they lit the house of fire filling it with smoke. They had a small window and they had to keep getting air to the baby and them. How did he escape
He left when the rockets hit and before the terrorists arrived on the ground. He is a tour guide so knew back roads to take and thank God didn't run into them. He was our tour guide for 2 weeks in September and I grew very fond of him - so thankful he is safe.

It’s not uncommon for music festivals around the world typically are held way out in desert areas or open fields. We have that here in USA like Coachella and Burning Man and even Glastonbury Festivals in England. However, this is not the time and place to criticize a new mother.
