Just got back from NZ last month... amazing 16 days =D 100% worth the long flight. NZ must really be pushing vacations, i never saw ads for NZ, now i see them all over the place!
you better come visit here XD wonderful place. best idea is to land in "Auckland" make your way down south to the capital "Wellington" (i live in porirua, maybe 15min drive north-west from wellington) then catch a fairy (cruise ship) to "Picton" a wonderful place ive been to thats next to the docks. then head south to "Chistchurch" (we have earthquakes, dont be alarmed when you feel the earth shaking) then down to "Dunedon" and eventualy making your way further south eventualy hitting "Stweart island" head back up to Chrichstchurch for a flight back to auckland and head home. not a bad place. you can do all of that easily within 4 days. but sightseeing and tourism.. try it for maybe 2 weeks or 1 month to enjoy it at the fulllest
@monkeybass12 yep, we are friendly to any1 that land on our shores!! but you still gota keep your whits about you...as in every tree is a foul fruit..but the culture here is lax and friendly
NZ is not a young country its alot older then the distorted history books claim. They have found artefacts that date back thousands of years before Maori arrived. Im not talking about the moriori either there were civilisations before them. Maori integrated with these civilisations which is why the culture is somewhat different to other polynesian cultures. Our government doesnt want the truth out people dealing in this work have been told to keep their mouths shut. So dont believe what the books say, You can only get some of the truth from talking with the people especially Maori elders and they do not tell just anybody. It would certainly challenge our way of thinking and the world in which we live. Cool you had a awesome 9 days. NZ is oretty laidback cant wait to return home watching you on the ocean makes me homesick. I never see the ocean where I live now too far away cant beat it. Thanks x
They say it was the Vikings sailing to china and then went south east since they were properly the only ones to do this but the Maori are destroying the ancient stuff left by them so they can still say their the natives for now
Youngest is meant geologically. Regardless of who first landed in NZ it was the last discovered country in rhe world which makes sense since it is the furthest country from all known trade routes and farther south of all South Pacific Islands. If any country was going to be discovered last it would be N.Z unless someone else has a different opinion. As to pre-polynesian history its all either fanciful speculation or too mythical to merit any truth.
in our eyes we live in a "usual" place.. but to other places we are seen as a luxury life.. i can see why... but its not THAT apealing to us as we live here

New Zealand seems an incredible country. I would love to visit one day. Dhani's new show on Travel channel is an excellent one as well.

The cool thing about NZ, is that even if you're from there you still appreciate it, and do all that adventure stuff without being a tourist.
