    Thank you for the video. The beginning is interesting when you say you don't know when you say you don't know why someone would want to save food longer. Some of us don't live in the city, so have stocked food in the freezer OR having wild game OR if you have a family and buy a side of beef or many other reasons might be why you want to keep your food fresh and stocked in abundance so you don't have to go to town.

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  Рік тому +2

      I usually end up keeping the food so long I forget and it all goes to waste, but it's true it'll last longer if I thought to vacuum pacl them. Problem is I always think I'll eat the food I buy before it gets to that point.
      Lol I've been using mine for sous vide and sealing anti static bags with computer parts. Haha

    Single person household so when I go to Costco many things I want to buy are for 4 or 5 people. So recently signed up for the Costo membership & bought this FM2900 Vacuum Sealer there. I like the Wild Salmon filets & cut them up then use this to seal them for the freezer. I put basil / lemon juice in the bag before sealing. This FoodSaver did a great job so far. 😎

    There is a place to store the hand-held sealer. On the top left side, directly to the left of where it says “FoodSaver” is a square hole (I had to remove a rubber plug on mine) and you just slip the straight bar on the hand-held sealer into that hole. This is how/where you store it.
    Sorry, I added my comment as soon as I heard you say there was no place to store it. I then saw, later in the video, you learned where it goes

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  Рік тому +1

      It does a good job. The other options that pull a vacuum with the bag inside a container and then seal are much more expensive, but it all depends on what you're willing to spend and what you'll use it for.

      You are referring to a CHAMBER SEALER - low end models runs around $ 350. If you have the dough GET IT!
      Go watch a few videos - you will save so much $ in the type of BAGS you can use, that alone pays for the difference in cost .
      Food lasts even longer and you can also vacuum seal canning jars in most! 😢
      My external vacuum part JUST gave out, lasted 6 months- I use this part a lot … Heidi was from “Rain Country” said it would. She’s gone through several..
      Her husband makes vacuum chambers from PVC tubes then she recommends purchasing a BREAK BLEEDER pump to remove air from the pvc pipe chamber.
      Good luck - Maureen

    I got mine when it was on sale last time like you. But my handheld vacuum sealer doesn’t fit into the port. 😭 The reason I found and watched your video was because I couldn’t get it in and wondered if I did it wrong. Well, the manual says to insert it until it clicks in place. It doesn’t “click in place” no matter how much force I use (and of course I don’t get any vacuum even if I try to hold it in place ). Could it be a defect?? 😢

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  Рік тому

      Possibly. You can buy a new one at the current price and return the defective one. With the new receipt. I don't think it needs to click as long as it doesn't leak air.

    In the owner’s manual the picture shows the thick white line on the left side like you had it the first time so that’s how I will put the roll in. Thank you for the review, I’m that person that needs either specific pictures or someone showing me how to do something
    like you just did.
    My Daughter talked me into buying this food saver when she came for a visit and seen I was wrapping our meat in freezer wrap, if I needed to divide a package of meat then I would first place it in a freezer zip lock bag then wrap in freezer wrap otherwise the would just be wrapped in the freezer wrap over the original packaging. You are very young and maybe you don’t buy ahead but if there is a sale (not managers special) I’ll buy up some extra or when going to the meat market I will prepare all of it for the freezer and all of it is dated, I don’t keep any of it past 6 months.

    I just returned this m 2900 FoodSaver. I bought it in November of 2022 I used it six times and if you look at the little appendage that goes into the main unit for the bags it's a tiny little plastic piece that is the weakness in the design I try to use it this morning and found it was broken half of it was in the unit and the other half was still on the spool so if we're going to use that a lot why would this little tiny plastic piece be so weak. Keeping all my paperwork because luckily Costco will take it back. I like the fact that the model itself was redesigned as you mentioned you had to hold both hands on the other one and after 4 or 5 years mine was I guess starting to dry out I had a hold it pretty tightly so I like the fact that they redesigned the unit but I don't like how they designed the piece to use on the plastic bags cuz I use them a lot

    MUY BUEN VÍDEO BIEN EXPLICADO, AUNQUE NO ENTIENDO MUY BIEN EL IDIOMA, PERO CON LOS EJEMPLOS Y LA EXPLICACIÓN, LOGRÉ ENTENDER MUY BIEN.
    UNA PREGUNTA DONDE PUEDO COMPRAR LOS RECIPIENTES DE PLÁSTICO PARA MARINAR?
    MUCHAS GRACIAS DE ANTEMANO.

      You know how to fast forward, right? Everyone shows it vacuuming. Nobody shows any of the other info

      What's weird is a grown man, being so interested in the length of another man's fingernails... I'm not interested in making myself more attractive to you...

    Didn't watch very long, spent to much time on stupid details. Learn to get to the point, watch how others do it so you don't waist our time. Sorry.
