I saw several videos on how to use it, and they really didn’t explain as easy as you did. Once I saw your video right away I knew how to use it thank you. You explained it in a simple way where the other videos made it a little bit more complicated when it’s simple, thank you very very much. I’ve never used them before but you made it so easy.

I LOVE my Food Saver. I bought it on sale at Amazon like 2 years ago for $25 AND I bought 8 large rolls of DIY bags that you can cut and seal yourself as well..So, you getting the hand-held, the roll and the vaccuum sealer machine for almost the same price-GREAT FIND you got there! The bags with the little circle is for the hand held sealer and yes, those bags can be used over and over again with the zipper and the circle for the hand held sealer.
@@loveirma I vac seal everything except my steam in a bag veggies..and everything I dont vac seal, i can..I make meals ahead of time and pre-freeze then put them in the va bags as well.

Good grief and Hallelujah!! I have been crippled trying to seal my jars and the fresh saver bags because I did not know how to use that that handheld sealer with this newer type protrusion that seats into the the machine. You actually showed how to click it into place. I just did it with you and (see my initial reaction. LOL.) A million thanks. I have a 7 a.m. meeting tomorrow, so it's too late to drag all the jars out that I gave up sealing earlier tonight. 3 guess what I'm doing at 8:05 tomorrow morning.

We just got one of these for a Xmas gift with a $500 costco gift card and membership. It should help the family a lot as I have a new chest freezer I’ve never used so I’ll do 70% of that for meats and add to chest freezer.
Which side of the bag, waffle or smooth, should be next to the sealing strip. If I put the roll in as you described with the roll coming from the underside, my waffle side is next to the sealing strip while the smooth side is on top with the wide white band on the right. Your roll appears to have the wide white band on your left which makes me question which side, waffle or smooth, needs to be next to sealing strip. I couldn't find in the manual anything about this. Thank you. Your you tube saved me. 😊

Thankyou Irma for your good instructions, I also have purchased the FM2900 Sealer from Costco and have done some dehydrated foods that I will be taking on our camping trip. I am finding that my machine seals, and vacuums but after 10 minutes the vacuum seems to disappear. I have checked the trouble shooting on the site and tried everything to minimize this from happening. About 50 percent of my vacuuming stays vacuumed. Just wondering whether you have come across this problem. I have put vacuumed items in the freezer and tried resealing once frozen, same problem. Any ideas before I take it back.
The only thing I can think of is if the machine is overheated and needs time to rest. That's the good thing about costco, you can take things back if they don't work out for you. Thanks for watching. 🙂

I like it for longer-term freezer storage items. I don't like that I don't have counter space to keep it out, so I have to take it out and make space each time I want to use it. I just purchased a different vacuum sealer that I like for everyday refrigerator items like fruits and veggies. I can keep that one on my counter or in a cabinet, so it's more on hand when I need it. But I would have to buy additional bags if I wanted to use it for freezer storage also. You can check out my latest video to see. 🙂
@@loveirma I just picked up the one you were using from Costco today. I hear you on the size… I had an Inkbird brand that died after 2 years. Was smaller and had a bag cutter on top. I ordered also the Foodsaver compact size to compare to this one. Compact doesn’t have a slicer or come with attachment hose. But I just tried the attachment hose on the one you demonstrated and first I couldn’t get the hose inserted and then I couldn’t get it out! I’m going to try out both and see if ones better or if the counter space may be an issue. Compact one stands on side for storage but not sure how I feel about using scissors to cut bags. Anyway thanks for your response. Decisions decisions:-)
Good idea to see which one works for you best. Everyone will have their favorite depending on their needs and preferences. I hope you find the best one for you! 😊
For the zipper bags, they're great for shredded cheese or blocks of cheese you won't eat in one sitting, left over avocado half with seed keeps it from getting brown, cold cuts. :o)
This machine doesn't come with a way to seal jars. I'm not sure, but I believe you'd have to buy a jar attachment separately and attach it to the handheld part. Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Lunch meat and cheese you can put in those little bags with the pump. That’s what I was thinking because you’re going to constantly open it to take out lunch meat or cheese.

Do you still like and use the food saver? I am debating between this one that’s on sale at Costco starting today or a compact version of it on Amazon. Thx for the video.
I like it for longer-term freezer storage items. I don't like that I don't have counter space to keep it out, so I have to take it out and make space each time I want to use it.
I just purchased a different vacuum sealer that I like for everyday refrigerator items like fruits and veggies. I can keep that one on my counter or in a cabinet, so it's more on hand when I need it. But I would have to buy additional bags if I wanted to use it for freezer storage also. You can check out my latest video to see. 🙂
@@loveirma I just picked up the one you were using from Costco today. I hear you on the size… I had an Inkbird brand that died after 2 years.
Was smaller and had a bag cutter on top. I ordered also the Foodsaver compact size to compare to this one.
Compact doesn’t have a slicer or come with attachment hose. But I just tried the attachment hose on the one you demonstrated and first I couldn’t get the hose inserted and then I couldn’t get it out! I’m going to try out both and see if ones better or if the counter space may be an issue. Compact one stands on side for storage but not sure how I feel about using scissors to cut bags. Anyway thanks for your response.

You don't have to reuse the cereal bag for something else. Once you empty some out you can just reseal using the new space from same bag.

For the zipper bags, they're great for shredded cheese or blocks of cheese you won't eat in one sitting, left over avocado half with seed keeps it from getting brown, cold cuts. :o)

This machine doesn't come with a way to seal jars. I'm not sure, but I believe you'd have to buy a jar attachment separately and attach it to the handheld part.

Lunch meat and cheese you can put in those little bags with the pump. That’s what I was thinking because you’re going to constantly open it to take out lunch meat or cheese.

I recently bought a 2 lb. block of cheese, used about 1/4 of it, gonna use another quarter in a couple of days, and idk about the rest. So yeah, I've got to vacuum seal that.
