I love seeing all of these video clips of software developers acting like mad men from the early 2000s.
Lol I know..Time flies!
that was the life...or lack of it like we lived in our offices we came home to our fams asleep many times lol
@@EFFbriskethead Lol Yup!
Thank you for this video!
No prob fam!
Acid was the shit. The timestretch especially.
Yup!..Early mid 2000s it was the best alternative to Pro tools.
Used acid pro at the same time I started FL to make beats, but once I got into recording I used Vegas pro since the engineer that was recording me used it and gave me a copy and I found it so easy to use I kept using it for a while and eventually went to Protools. I now use Vegas for video editing only.
Oh ok Nice!
I always wondered about this. I know I’m Acid Pro 7 you could import videos, and manipulate the audio. So I would use that as a baseline for putting my music over videos. To get it synced right.
Yup. I used to do the same..I use to wish I could manipulate the video with acid pro 7..Then I got Vegas and realized its pretty much the same thing lol.
My only frame of reference to Acid Pro is the fact that many Jersey Club producers (at least from the 2000s/2010s era) made the best remixes on it. I have Vegas 19 on my laptop running Windows, but use Final Cut Pro on my 2012 Macbook Pro that I've basically switched over to using full time
I feel you..Back in the days Vegas was always going head to head with final cut lol.
Justin Frankel was using Vegas before he developed REAPER. There are similarities.
Yeah..Reaper had alot of Acid influence..I did hear Reaper early on used alot of Acid developers.
Justin built Reaper up like it was a whole office full of people with tight deadlines. I remember watching feature after feature get thrown in. Studio One had very similar momentum but they actually had a whole team. Justin has wizard like coding skills.
@@THA-REAPER Oh ok cool!
shared and liked, but hey, i have this old macbook pro from 2011, its just such a work of art i can't let it go, this vid makes me what to get some old version of vegas off of ebay or something and install it what do you think of that?
I thought acid and vegas were windows only
@@mrdemosounddesign4710 you might be right i never used either i guess i could do an emulator? my current machine is unbuntu studio
Lol! Why not..Thats why its always good to keep an old computer..You might have a program you love and want to use but its not compatible with the new Windows or other OS out there.
Either that or create different partitions on your drive and install different os versions
the first DAW i ever use .. Acid ver4 ..
Version 4 was dope!
I always said that. I discovered Acid Pro at the same time as Fruity Loops 2. Fruity loops didn't give you that audio clip view in the playlist..nope not then. Acid did and you could chop samples easier along with lining up acapellas. Without knowledge of VST's obviously would be more sample based.
When I finally did try Vegas it was like I'm just doing what I do with samples. With or without music. The effects are just visual rather than audible. Tried premiere hated it took me like 5 different times years apart to be comfortable with premiere with all this ram preview stuff... Premiere is the better one to me, but Vegas is like minimal thought to get something moderate or semi advanced done.
I just wish there were standards like VST's for video effects...so it would be like no matter what you use you could carry all your tricks and sauces and the core editing is down to the program itself.
Yeah..I feel you on the standards for vsts.
Still use acid to make my remixes
Nice!
i am a Samplitude user. Another DAW from MAGIX but differently to Vegas and Acid but the same stock plugins
Yeah Samplitude is nice.
I actually brought both back in the day. They were definitely the same.
Yup!
@@DyReckProductions And the keyboard shortcuts were nearly identical 😂
@@djlucasd Yeah there very similar..That was a dope idea to make em that way by Sonic foundry.
Dyreck hace videos bien chingones! ( Ask a mexican what that means)
"He makes cool videos!"..I did a google translation search..Thanks Lol!!
What had happened was it was great marketing 😂
Lol!!
I still use Vegas Movie Studio to edit my videos. 😉
No doubt..I had 13 back in the day..Switched to Vegas pro 19..Last couple of vids I been using 20.
@@DyReckProductions Yep. I use 20 as well. So intuitive and gets incredible results.
Greatest mystery you solved since you exposed the creator of JJOS. 😂
Lol!
😂😂😂
Lol!
@@DyReckProductions I love these videos. Much appreciated
@@jayonbaby Thanks fam!
