- Thank you all so much for the support and feedback! A special thanks also to my new subscribers! This is my 11th filmed project, and it took me all of 13 hours last Saturday to complete. I am marginally pleased with it. I think the concept could have been executed more elegantly, and I may have used too much glue!

Thank you, Gavin! I really appreciate that!
Oh how beautiful! I love your fantastic creation! You think of the most beautiful ideas for vases, bowls, ring boxes!! Does your mind ever stop to relax? You are awesome at what you do!! Bravo!
Thank you! It’s a labor of love!
I love your videos - the music, the close ups so we can see the delicate woodturning and the beautiful end product.
I’m slowly making my way through your videos and this is another absolutely gorgeous face I love the music love the background love everything good job
Wow very interesting piece of art David. I also like the fact that you don’t play loud music. Thank you.
Thanks Rita!
David what a surprise it is an awesome and stunningly beautiful pot.
Thanks so much, Kobie! Cheers!
This was remarkable. Your vidoegraphy, file editing, and music are all superior. It is also clear that your tool technique is professional. Pal, you've got skill. Keep this up and I'll be able to say "I remember when he....."
Wow, thank you so much Dan! Much appreciated. This was a fun experiment. Always learning! Cheers!
so satisfying, I am just learning how to do this. I could watch you all day long!!! You make it look so graceful and easy. I think next to long distance rides on a Harley the next best therapy
Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by! UPDATE: The promo code "ADAMSEN10" is now working. My apologies for the delay. Let me know if there are any issues.
Gorgeous.
Wow! Inspiring video with a beautiful piece. Thank you for letting the tools do the talking for you.
Thank you so much, Jennifer!
I really appreciate your skill as well as your choice of music!
Thanks Bob!
You are such a master of the wood lathe thanks for what you do
Thank you, David. I really appreciate that. Cheers!
David, the music you choose is so hypnotic & so peaceful in this hectic life we live. Thanks for sharing your skills with the world.
Thanks Sue! I appreciate that!
I LOVE it! Absolutely love the design. Eye catching, beautiful art piece.
Thank you so much, Bonita! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Wow. Simply wow. Incredible material mastery and skill! That is one stunningly beautiful piece as whole!
Thank you so much!
so satisfying, I am just learning how to do this. I could watch you all day long!!! You make it look so graceful and easy. I think next to long distance rides on a Harley this would be the next best therapy.
Cheers Catalina!
Great project, David! I love your video work.
Thanks Rick! It was a fun experiment, but probably needed more thought put in to make it really work. The proportions of the base and the "seed pods" seem a little off. But it was fun! Cheers!
Very impressive. I wasn’t sure how it all went together. Beautiful piece.
Thank you for this. It was beautiful to watch! Those seed pods would make for beautiful tree ornaments also!
Thank you Maimsy! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was almost 2am when I finished it, and my fingertips were encased in CA glue... If I'd had my head on straight, I probably would have gone easier on the glue, since I probably didn't need to use that much. Lessons learned, experience gained! Cheers!
Wow, what a neat concept, David! Very well done doing such delicate turning. I love those seed pods....they remind my of Physalis, or Cape Gooseberry. Love it!
Thanks, Laeladen! It was a fun experiment! Cheers!
So beautifully made. Just love the wood grains.
Absolutely fantastic design and finish. I really do admire how you get all your pieces looking silky smooth. No wonder it took you so long to produce the decoration.
Thanks you so much! This was an experiment for sure but it’s always worth it to get the finish right. Cheers!
Your imagination is over the top. Your editing skills are very impressive also.
What a fabulous box! I hope whoever has that loves it to pieces!
David the music and video are perfect as your skills are. As always. I always admire your making those tiny or thin bits and pieces which look fragile yet so delicate and great. They always are like a topping on an already stunning looking piece of art turned out of amazing wood. Woodturning those small details is truly showing your skill and makes your videos so special to me. I always also appreciate the soothing music and that you let your videos speak for themselves. Please stay healthy and safe. Take care. Love from Germany.
Thank you so much, Stephanie! You are a great encouragement! Cheers from Maine!
True artistry.
Thanks James!
Oh my. That is remarkable! Wow!
Thank you!
Kept me glued to my seat to end. Beautiful.
Very cool 😎 and loved the music too!
Wow, beautiful project, awesome technique, so glad I watched this video. Thank you.
Thanks very much!
Sharp looking unique bit of art you created sir. It was a pleasure watching it unfold. Thank you.
Thank you! It is unique, lol. It was an experiment in learning the technique of upside-down turning. Hopefully the next try will have more finesse. Cheers!
Absolutely a joy to watch.
Stunning 💖💖💖
Very original idea David 👌 I watched the video with pleasure 😊 Great work.
Thanks, Rav! It was an experiment simply meant to prove to myself that I could to upside-down turning without the project ending up splattered against the wall. Cheers, my friend!
@@DavidAdamsen And You did it very good. Wallis are thin and not massive, just perfect as first time 💪
@@Secondlifeofwoodturning Thanks Rav! You're very kind.
Mesmerising.❤️
You are a great master! Bravo!👏👏👏👏👏
Cheers! I appreciate you!
Beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much, Patrick!
Outstanding, David!! Another nice wood turning. You have a nice light touch turning those small pieces. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like it!!!! Keep those wood shavings flying!
Another well done video!
Thank you very much! For some reason, I seem to get the most enjoyment from weird detailed challenges! It was an experiment in getting a repeatable result as well. Cheers!
Thanks so much for sharing. That was a beautifully thought out and executed project/video
Thanks Russ! Cheers!
Absolutely fantastic design and finish. I really do admire how you get all your pieces looking silky smooth. No wonder it took you so long to produce the decoration.
Interesting project, the finished product is gorgeous :). I love how the wax and orange oil brings out those lovely browns.
Thank you!
Beautiful and I want your doggie. So pretty.
I love watching you work!
Thank you so much, Cheri! Always learning and having fun doing it! Cheers!
Holy cow, man! That was amazing and the first time I've seen that technique used on the maple.
Thanks Jonathan!
what a unique piece very eye catching delicate turning great skills really enjoy your talents
Thanks very much, Garry! Much appreciated! Cheers!
That is just beautiful! Very creative! Great woodworking skills, great editing skills. -Mike
Thanks very much, Mike!
I wanna cry lol so beautiful
Gorgeous.💜💜💜💜
Wow - just superb! I really appreciate the effort you put into making your videos - thoroughly enjoyable and great to watch. Cheers!
Thanks so much, Stewart! I wish I had thought more about proportions with this one. I think the base should have been much larger to offset the toppings... but it was super fun to turn the inside out bits. Cheers!
Уникално ! Оставам без думи !!! Поздравления !!!!
David, das ist perfekt👍👍👍❤️
Vielen Dank, Musorina!
Hoe geniet ik van je werk, het is zo prachtig wat je maakt. 👏

Thank you, Димитрий! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Great choice of woods. I recently did my first fierce of inside out turning. I have to do some more!
Thanks Tony! I've been wanting to try inside out turning for a while. It's quite interesting and challenging! Good luck on your projects!
Magnifique réalisation,d'une minutie horlogère, Bravo !!!!!!!!!!!
Merci beaucoup!
What a clever idea. Lots of work but a beautiful result.
Thank you very much, Suzette!
Wow. Next level stuff.
Thank you very much, Ezra!
Awesome, I am trying knock up something like this out of some scrap wood for my wife at the moment. Now I know the process, perfect 👌
Nice!!! So glad this helped you out!
@@DavidAdamsen I got my first lathe about 2 weeks ago. You were my main inspiration for getting started. I really hope I can get to your level one day. I guess 10-15 years to go hey? 😂 thanks for all your amazing work, really motivated me to give it a go.
Whimsical!
Beautiful fine art
Beautiful
Fantastic! Great idea. Keep it up, love the video's.
Thank you! It wasn't quite as elegant as I had hoped it would be, but it didn't fly across the room, so that's good! Cheers!
very nice piece my friend
Thanks very much, Rick!
Very well done, nice work!
Thanks a lot, Dave!
Great job😊
Nice and thank you for the tool information. Us beginners like that.
Thanks Ron! I appreciate the feedback! It's always nice to know what people are hoping to see and learn. I don't consider myself an expert by any means, but it's a joy to learn the craft!
Very cool piece David! Thanks for sharing!...Bruce
Thanks Bruce! It was a fun experiment!
Amazing!
Cheers K!
Very interesting topper.i like it.
Thanks! It was an experiment!
Wonderful job well done Love it might have ago myself
Thank you Robin! Good luck in your projects!
Very nice!
Thanks so much, Juanita! It was an experiment. Cheers!
That's a realy cool idea
Love it
Good job
Thank you! It was a fun experiment, but the concept itself probably needed more thought in order to make it a really elegant piece. It's all in the learning... Cheers!
Cool detailed project. Very nice
Much appreciated, thank you! It was an experiment. Thankfully, it didn't blow up into a million pieces. Cheers!
David your work is excellent, now with a little time I can watch your video. A hug friend.
Alcino, thank you! I hope you enjoyed it! Cheers, my friend!
Bravo David, C’est très magnifique, un art vraiment accrocheur 😍
Merci beaucoup! C'était une joie à faire!
Love it
Thanks Raymond! It was an experiment. It could have used a bigger base to offset and give better proportions. Cheers!
Nice piece, great design. Thanks for posting.
One negative: I’m generally not a Safety Sally, but you should really make a V-block to cut those rounds on the band saw.
Thanks James. That's a good idea. It definitely made it easier to hold on to having those tenons on each end, but you're definitely correct that there's a safer route. Cheers! And thanks for the feedback!
Шикарно!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍
David you did just a wonderful job on turning those inside/out seed pods for the first time, interesting concept and works for me. Great finishing... lol!!! .... my only input would be that if you do something like this again that maybe you could make your bottom box area little larger in design so your top part doesn’t overpower and take away the overall design. Otherwise David again just beautiful work my friend!!👌👌👍

Custom Woodturnings
Thank you very much, John! I think you're right. A larger base would have worked better. I think I was merely thinking about the color contrasting rather than the size of everything. Honestly, it reminds me of those egg carton projects I used to do in preschool hahaha! I'm not crazy about the results, but at least I proved to myself that I can do upside down turning. Cheers!
well all I can say is.... WOW!
Magnifique bravo
Merci beaucoup, Michel!
Will no one spare a minute to appreciate the gorgeous wolf at the end of the video? Yeah, the piece you made was awesome too :)
Cheers Janki!
Definitely not a wolf! Looks to be a Collie or Collie cross.
@@randallmarsh1187 I know bro, I was just saying casually :)
Terminei de assistir seu vídeo. Ficou show seu trabalho.
Fantástico! Espero que você consiga começar a trabalhar a madeira algum tempo! É muito divertido!
You rock🤘
Thanks Golak!
If you did this with "The Slow-mo Guys" I wonder what the video would look like. What a great video by the way.
Very cool idea!
Great workmanship. I really enjoy your videos. Is that a spindle gouge or bowl gouge with what grind.? Great music also, makes me want to take a nap lol.
Bravo
Cheers!
Merveilleusement magnifique
Woah, merci beaucoup!
¡ superb !
What is the process when you start a project? Do you draw it out or is it all in your mind? You are so gifted....💞💞💞
Hello David, Great Woodworking mfg JOE
Thanks very much! Cheers!
Super purdy :)
Do you have directions of how to do this?how do you know what steps to take and in what order? Very interesting to watch.

Perfeito, sou brasileiro e admiro muito a sua arte.
Muito obrigado!
Amazing work David...Found your channel recently. From work to video production, VERY inspiring....New sub. :-)
Thank you very much, Dan! So glad you found me and enjoyed the videos! Cheers!
@@DavidAdamsen Hey david...Just a heads up...Starbond code not working. I've seen Starbond used many times and was going to try it after your vid finally. I've tried may variations on the code without giving it away here in the comments(Caps, no Caps, Partial caps, the number with no space, word-space-number, etc)...Nothings working....Oh well, just an FYI...Don't know if there is a min order to get it, but it doesn't specify...it just states "Not valid"....Thanks anyways though....Cheers.
@@danrhomberg1663 Thanks for letting me know, Dan! I was told the code was activated a few days ago. I have notified Starbond. Hopefully we can get this working ASAP. So sorry about that!
@@DavidAdamsen sure thing...It was just a 2oz black...Maybe that's why. Let me know when you can and I'll try them out...Probably will anyways but my cheap butt looks for any discounts...lol...There's another one(Black CA) at home depot to try...Anyways, Blessing to you and your family this season...Thanks again for the OBVIOUS time you dedicate to these productions in editing...love the vibe you bring...See your channel going far. :-)
@@danrhomberg1663 As far as I know, there is no minimum purchase required for the promo code to be applied. I actually went on their website just now and tried the coupon code on a $25 package, and it did not work. So the code must not be active. I did confirm that the code is indeed "ADAMSEN10" precisely. So sorry again. I added a pinned comment at the top of this video that I'll update when I hear anything.
Beautiful work. Gorgeous dog. Is it your collie? ❤️
Очень красиво! 👍
Большое спасибо!
Muito lindo
Beautiful!
Thanks so much, Elisete!
WOW
Those seedpods would make a lovely and different finial for high-end boxes, just one at a time. Although if you're dealing with botanists - not many plants make things with four sides. How would you make something like this pentagonal?
Thanks! I've been thinking of doing this for a finial at some point, and yes I would love to try this concept with more than 4 pieces. Check out Frank Howarth's channel. He has a video of this concept.
