Those Sword scenes next to each other are fucking hilarious.
Yes, the escalation to that made it even greater.
@AngelHQ indeed it did. Great visual comedy.
it's called the Obari Stance
And it's still awesome every time I see it. :-)
And that's not even close to a full list.
Wait, wait, so you're telling me that Kemono Friends uses it's own cancellation as a plot point? That's meta enough for me to give it a shot.
... wait ... what ? ...
@@ManusiaKagakRusuh the cancellation of the game

I blame Kadokawa
Yeah my fav friends was serval, toki and moose
Now i got heavy depression and my eyes bleeding for looking on kadokawa's jealousy... Ugh
Kemono Friends 2 is good, the new team did great work with it, Kadokawa is just super fucked up. The new team also had passion for it (Crunchy Roll also fucked it up)

I liked it mostly because the whole theme of the anime is "Everybody is a Genius. But If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Live Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid"
Each friend is good at something, and when they find themselves in a situation they're not able to solve, there are other friends that can help, and sometimes, their individual skills can be combined to make something greater.
night1952 What about the people who are almost bad at everything that they make good examples on what not to be or how to avoid becoming x personas?
Maybe they haven't found what they're good at, which is a sub-theme in this anime, since Kaban starts off not knowing what she's good at and thinks she's useless.
Then assumin there's people with absolutely no skills at anything is also like faith.
Also, notice that "maybe" at the begining of my last comment, i didn't assume anything.
You know that people are naturally talented at certaing things, don't you?
Katoki
I love this comment. Too often I hear about how someone becomes demotivated because one individual is better at a certain thing. It helps to bring up other examples like martial arts or exercise because the demotivated person might focus on one aspect they want to work on (e.g. Drawing). I mean, there's a difference between improving to be competent at something and improving to be some professional but personally, I would worry about the latter. The artist I've admired (and considered close to being pros) have stated themselves uncertainties about their own works and how they may not consider themselves having "extreme inhuman talent." Basically, work on improving but don't worry about being "perfect" or being "the very best like no one ever was."
Basically it boils down to learning and practicing a lot.
As someone who's strength is drawing, who also dabbles in clay modeling, composing, writing, etc, I hope this comment either inspires or helps someone at least consider what I've said. :)
The thing I'm most thankful for out of everything is that the show dodges the biggest pitfall for children's TV.
Early into the show a race of weird evil slime things named Ceruleans are introduced, and they are said to be a dangerous presence to all.
Most creators would have every episode (or most of them) end with a fight against the monster! Kemono Friends doesn't do that. Instead it has a really nice and simple structure... Travel to a new zone, meet the animals there, hear of a problem, fix the problem, and repeat. There IS a dangerous presence in this world, but not everything is solved by those dangerous things existing and being fought. The Ceruleans are just another part of the world, like everything else, and I think a focus on fighting against a threat would have stripped this show of its charm.
Honestly I think this show is greater than the sum of its parts, and it doesn't hurt to come in with low expectations and let the show wash over you with its charm. It reminded me of being a kid at the zoo who was fascinated by all the animals.
whiteflagstoo very well said.
So it wasn't just a meme.
I mean, it wasn't the most popular anime series airing at that season for no reason!
Kazuki Kazami I think Digibro and Best Guy Ever would like to have a word with you about Eromanga Sensei
Welp, that invalidates my argument entirely.
LaserFace23
Kemono Friends was winter season, Eromanga was spring.
I think the point was that being the most popular show doesn't necessarily need a reason, not that Eromanga and Kemono aired together.
It's crazy to see the evolution of Kemono Friends MAL score. It started at 4.5 and it's now at 7.8 !
NykowPalalum Damn, what a change.
NykowPalalum It went down to 4.1 at one point!
too much water
too many friends
yes, thats a better may may
I just fucking love the direction in this Anime, the scenes for the most part feel so organical, the pacing of each episode is pure solid gold for a "problem/friend of the day episode" and even in Margay hijack episode you still get a good resolution to the basic problem of the day.
Man Kemono Friends is such a gem, heck most people forget how good episode 1 is for an info dump episode that sets the relationship tone between the two main characters while drawing a ton of parallels between itself and the climax, that was just so well directed it took many of us by storm when episode 11 dropped.
In short, just fucking go and watch Kemono Friends, it's somehow better on a rewatch.
The first episode is slow and almost nothing happens. The last episodes have almost to much information so I would say the pacing is way off. I don't understand what you mean with info dump or what it is in the show Digribro calls expose dumps I think the show tells a story and create a world in a better way than most anime where we see and figure out things when it happens thru natural action and dialog.
The first episode is built around info dump, we find out about biomes, skilld of the friends, hippo phylosophy, kaban info, what are ceruleans and other stuff. Episode 1 is actually one big infodump so the other episodes dont repeat the stuff thatw as said in it.
That Otter's ass saved my fucking life. I knew I was hooked.

Indeed!! Otter-chan has the sweetest ass I have seen in many a year. And the story was fatastic as well.
The "bad" animation intrigues me. It looks like ps2 JRPG cutscenes or something.
Watching Kemono Friends makes you "feel moe" for the show itself, not just the characters
Its like the show is trying its hardest and being clumsy in a cute way
I was tempted to say that myself in this video, but I think I've said that about other shows before and I wasn't sure I wanted it to become a thing I'm known for saying lol
Digibro for example? What other shows have made you feel this way?
Also, when are you watching Demi-chan?
Someone else already beat him to it. In fact, what you said makes me think you watched that video :)
Digibro if you keep saying it, you might become moe yourself, and there are those who want it to happen.
I love seeing all these people bitching hard about the animation, but for me after I got past the first couple of episodes, which are notably worse animation wise imo, I actually completely fell in love with the aesthetic and visual style of the show. Sure, the animation isn't gorgeous, but it more than suffices and I think it actually adds a lot to the show. Kemono Friends would not have been as popular if it was made in a similar vain to typical anime. Get over yourself and at least watch a couple episodes, you might be surprised how much you'll enjoy it.
I remember checking out Kemono Friends because it had such a low score on MAL at the time(4.8 average I think), and while the first episode was pretty bad, I stuck with it and it ended up being one of my favourite shows from the last season.
Kemono Friends was one of the most surprising anime of the last season!
btw all friends are best.
Now I'm gonna watch the video
but some friends are more best than others.
friendship is slavery
Usermane they are all Kawaii.
I've spent weeks trying to understand what was so good about Kemono Friends for me, and I think you've finally managed to explain it. One thing I'd add, though, would be that there's an extra layer of appeal in it coming off as "Japanese PBS kids"; this totally feels like something I'd've watched as a child on public television and absolutely adored, so it felt like it hit a nostalgia vein that I've become desensitized too with all the nostalgia fodder in pop culture recently. Made it even more special for me.
and for the firs time i know camel hump is myth... with water storage......
I first assumed that Kemono Friends is literally Japanese kid's show as in aimed at young children. Turned out it has PG-13 rating. EDIT: I checked and it has "PG - Children" -rating in Myanimelist. I have somewhat clear memory of it having PG-13 at some point though. It does indeed have the vibe of something I could see in some timeslot aimed at preschool/young elementary school children.
To those who are considering watching this show, do it twice. First time completely sober and second time as absolutely intoxicated as possible. It has led to some surreal experiences...
Hahaha, that sounds awesome
Make that 4 times.
The third time is as high on LSD as you can get without ODing.
The fourth time is the second and third combined.
The fourth time also seconds as a suicide attempt.
@@TheMotorhead30 That comment is way too real. Ketamine could absolutely do that too.
The smash sensation that somehow overcame a staff of 10 people and production difficulties so massive that they couldn't afford to animate the wheels in the OP until halfway through the runtime. Whether one likes Kemono Friends or no, I think it's fair to say it's by far one of the most intriguing sensations in anime in a long time. An underdog story so bizarre, a penguin found a waifu. And personally? Favorite anime of the season.
even the producers are having headaches in how it suddenly went popular.
to me best anime of the year.. just my own personal opinion...
btw if you watch that previous job from this director its a nice anime, bunch of girl discussion spontaneously....on certain thing such as typical anime gimmich and troupes its damn funny if you give it a try...
rip grape kun
You forgot to mention what an obsessive animal-facts otaku the creator is. This show is a treasure trove of little easter eggs.
For example, American Beaver has a different character design than she does in the game. But when you look at European Beaver it becomes clear that this is because she's a hybrid. Fans think this is a reference to how American beavers were introduced to Europe to bolster the endangered population's gene pool.
that director of this anime had living in africa before... so he know some sh1t...
If you stopped after the first episode because you knew you would not like it after a minute like myself, then like me you should really give it another go, it might surprise you.
I literally did that
Then i gave it a second chance
Its now in my top 5
Kemono friends also is unique under the personification genre. Instead of being animal girls for the sake of being animal girls, they were originally the stuff they personify.
I watched this series after hearing about how the community in Japan watching it had become so engrossed in the mystery of "What is Japari Park?". I am a huge sucker for world-building, so I pushed past the first two episodes and then realized that I really enjoyed the series for more than just the world-building. It just feels so wholesome and good.
I think the best thing the show did was not having any characters that I intensely disliked. Sure, the Crested Ibis is annoying, but I didn't dislike the character, and the show acknowledged that the character was annoying and handled it well. So the plethora of not-bad characters couldn't detract from the show the way trash shows do.
There's also the common issue of writing smart characters. So often, characters who are supposed to be hyper-intelligent do really stupid things (I'm looking at you, Death Note). Kemono Friends felt really well written because the "smart" character, Kaban, is actually just average intelligence. It feels smart because the other, "not-smart" characters contrast with her, similar to the movie, Idiocracy. And it's believable that the friends would not be very smart, because they're animals. Things that are common sense to a human are entirely outside of an animals grasp. Finally, because the Kaban doesn't have to be super intelligent, the writers also don't have to be super intelligent to some up with good scenarios to display the intelligence without it feeling forced.
I brought up earlier that the show felt really wholesome, and it is made so much better for it. None of the characters are evil or even mean. All of the conflict is environmental. It's the best world to show off a character like Kaban.
In short, everything about the show other than the animation is simply amazing and used to good effect.
I just finished rewatching this show after a few years and I still love it. It's so strange but it's great. The world has such a cute yet eerie sense of adventure and wonder, and mystery especially. I'll never understand this show, it's so fundamentally strange yet so brilliant
That wait between episodes 11 and 12 was brutal.
the most "brutal" comment here that I have to agreed on.
Kemono Friends proves that so long as you have some interesting world building, lovable characters and themes that resonate and relate to people, then the animation doesn't need to be anything spectacular. There's quite a few shows that don't look great but are well written, full of a memorable cast of characters and a fantastic story whether it's episodic or straight forward. It kind of reminds me of the 3D animated Green Lantern cartoon or Tron Uprising: not exactly the best looking shows in terms of character models, but the memorable characters, the well written story and an immersive world was well worth the watch.
ah, yes, tron uprising was great.
tron uprising underrated.
Kemono friends was the most surprising anime of last season , i only watched it when it ended , but it was so good , and i was so unexpected that i watched it in like 2 days .
an one of anime im not tired doing a rewatch...
Tbh i never understood people talking bad of the first season
The animation was buggy, but the characters and story was so smooth i didn't even noticed, i was focused on the episodes and the lore so much
I never understood why people prefer graphics over quality
Japari park was intended as a standard safari park. The cute animal girls are a product of the same disaster that led to the abandonment of the park.
In universe, they were never supposed to be there. But I'm glad they were.
I LOVE the characterizations within the show. Everybody was truly different and felt special, and somehow the made weird pairings like a Prairie Dog and a Beaver work. The designs themselves are spectacular from beginning to end. I enjoyed pretty much all of the show, but the depth of the characters, even if they had like ~10 minutes total screen time like Shoebill, is what kept me the most engaged
I find solace in the fact that Digibro could spot a great show through clumsy CG, whereas Mother's Basement just looked at the first 3 seconds of the PV and decided that it's beneath him.
I found myself really loving the characters in the show because, as you said, they aren't really like anything I've seen on screen before. One of the biggest problems I usually have with "cute" shows is that there isn't a hook to pull me along, but the mystery kept my attention that I was willing to enjoy the relaxing ride. I also really enjoy all the animal facts and how they were incorporated into the story and characters. I also enjoyed the lack of stereotypical human social conflicts for no reason other than to create conflict. I think this shows you can have a compelling plot with a direct antagonist or group social drama.
Also I fucking love animal girls. It is an immense weakness of mine.
I think this shows you can have a compelling plot /without/ a direct antagonist or group social drama.*
I absolutely loved this show because it was such low-quality and yet it gave off such an eerie vibe that I ended up being addicted to. I won't forget Kemono Friends anytime soon.
Hope u haven't seen season 2 yet, if u haven't then don't watch it. It ruins the entire story, and it isn't really a sequel.. A lot of people suggest watching Kemurikusa after KF1, since it's made by the same guy who made KF1 and it contains a lot of KF references.
Ahhh... I still remember watching these pre and post 2000's documentaries at animal planet and discovery channel when i was a kid (holds like a meerkat manor kind of vibe, like a slive of life thingy), and also listen to sir david attenborough's voice and the new-wave/ambient background music, the wild setting of this show reminds me of those times, feels pretty nostalgic and its flaws don't stop me from enjoying this reminiscence from my childhood.
Woaw... big thanks Digi. I started to watch your videos, and then I got a strange feeling... something like "that sounds different... you should check it out, it might be a good experience" and when you said, "I might spoil" I instantly paused the video and watched the all serie. Then I came back and finished your video. This was sooo refreshing! It'll be hard to describe it but, damn it was so good to watch it! Thank you for talking about this show!
Well summed up digi, I think you hit the nail on the head. I checked out this show after I saw Glass Reflections praise it, and I'm so glad I did. I was surprised how quickly the episodes would fly by, indicating that I was having a good time with the show. I really appreciated how the staff were able to spin an interesting tale on limited resources, and finely balanced the line between sincerity and self-aware irony. I would absolutely love to see more.
I applaud you for somehow adeptly the describing the surreal experience that is watching and growing to love Kemono Friends.
As season 2 is airing I wanted to come back to this video. This is the video that made me watch Kemono Friends, I remember binging the whole series about a year ago while I was at home sick.
I love this show so much
I could never explain why I liked it so much. I guess you put a lot of it into words.
I feel like, personally, the CG animation style is the single best cross between live action and animation that makes the visual language of the show so endearing.
This show is honestly the most pleasant surprise, and the most fun I've had with an anime in a pretty long time.
S2 is coming ! Can't wait I liked this show so unexpectedly lol
The wheels on the bus go round and round... except in Japari Park
KryptonKnight Well, they did get the budget to animate the wheels later on in the show.
This just gave me more reasons to love Kemono Friends.
While Kemono Friends may have been a small-crewed budget anime with no plans on catching any attention, it made so many interesting decisions on things that it managed to catch an unexpectedly big audience. As others have said, it's like a Japanese MLP, only Kemono Friends wasn't intended to be successful. The people behind the anime pretty much just made it for fun.
Well, once again you lulled me into the trap of binge watching. Darn you, Digibro!
@5:06 I lost it. That edit tickled my funny bone on multiple levels. Well done, sir.
Oh sweet fucking Christ! That CGI!
Seems decent actually.
Salokin Sekwah it's still pretty iffy.
"Decent..." the CGI, Really? Well... I can look past it. It *is* serviceable.
Salokin Sekwah It's... not.
Still better than Berserk's.
You sound like the Berserk 2016 fans.....
THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT MY FAVORITE 2017 ANIME!
Hopefully more people will give this little gem a chance.
I actually like the visuals, I think it fits the whole unpretentious nature of the show. I started watching when around 7 episodes had already aired and before the huge boom and memes, and I'm glad to see what the show accomplished with such a low budget.
PS: Shoebill best girl
At first, I didn't think much of it. But after telling myself "I'll watch up to episode 4" I was hooked and couldn't wait for each week's new episode
Oh that's why Kaban was placed in the Savannah. It's where humans are native to
i actually really liked the cut-in parts when the various zoo ppl were talking about an animal or two, and ya usually could hear their super levels of excitement to just talk about one of the animals for 30 sec or so.... was always super adorable ^^
I gave it a shot because i like animals in real life and i saw this i tried it out i was going to stop but then there were those scenes where poeple tell different facts about the animals in the show so i continued until the ending got interesting and i cried
This is the perfect video! I have a friend who has refused to watch kemono friends unless I provide ample reason, and this is perfect!
So sad that the second season has sabotaged the series :(
Just a friendly reminder that there was only 10 people on production staff (excluding VAs) working on this over the course of more than a year. It's actually amazing if you consider that most higher budget shows are usually working with more than 90 people in production.
i think it was a very enjoyable friendship series. funny but still touching
The penguin that fell in love with the cardboard cutout died. ;_;
still better than SAO
Every time someone bashes on SAO for no reason they're creating free advertising for the show.
You want to stop people watching SAO? Go talk about shows you enjoy.
Mad Hatters in jeans Definitely not everyone has the right to see what they want
Mad Hatters in jeans i love you megumin
if there wasn't the SAO,
there wouldn't be SAO Abridged
SOA: good visuals, shit story
Kemono Friends: shit visuals, good story
This made me really fucking happy. I didn't like anyone else's explanation of the appeal of Kemono Friends, so I've been waiting for someone to make a good one. There's a lot more to dig in to if someone wanted to but this is pretty ideal for a broad look at the general appeal and a great video for throwing at people who didn't watch it and don't understand why someone would. Thanks for making this.
great review.
it's definitely a memorable show.
and an excellent one at that.
Very likable characters with satisfying story - that's what Kemono Friends is and has
Great overview!!
I got addicted to it. I joined KF discord server, browse fanart, look up videos.. even pre-ordered Serval's Nendoroid.
Wow, Digi did a Kemono Friends video and he has a firmer understanding of it than everyone else I've seen talk about it. I think the best part is hearing someone else acknowledge that Kemono Friends does some interesting things in terms of visual.
One thing I feel worth mentioning is that not only does the anime has a unique structure, the episodes are also distinct from each other while still making a coherent adventure. I just have my personal experience to go with but I think there is something for everyone in Kemono Friends, meaning that the specific elements in would appeal to different kinds of viewers. For example, episode 5 stood out to me because of how the 'problem-solution' was framed, and I found out that I like the relaxing mood episode 3 sets for itself on the rewatch, when I wasn't trying to catch up before the last episode drop.
It does have amazing background art and great directing. Really, the only real argument against it is the animation. Story, direction, sound, voice acting and characters are all quite nice. If people can be more open minded, even the animation won't be a problem.
It gave me the Adventure Time vibe (love it), and gj for mentioning that!
Kemono friends taught the industry a lesson that one can produce a good anime if they really put their love and heart into it. It is totally unnecessary and to always use the same scenario with similar char design, stylized personalities and stupid fan service to attract weebos. (I'm talking about you A-1 pictures). There are some people who are able to appreciate the excellent creation by a group of hard-work staffs, and also be willing to pay for it. At least I will.
One of my favorite anime of 2017.
I still can't believe hat amounts to an ad for some mobile game that bombed ended up being one of the best shows in the season
I rolled a die against my backlog and boy am I glad I came up with Kemono Friends.
Also you have an uncanny ability to put into words things that I only feel on instinct. It makes me feel smart and dumb at the same time. :-)
hoepfully this gets picked up in someone's archives too
WOW! Major interesting story plot!
I just absolutely loved the constant theme of bettering the life of people through critical thinking and a slight bit of science.
It really felt like a celebration about the best parts of humanity without shoving it right up in your face. The mystery aspects aren't completely spelled out either.
I think I just have to come to expect from Anime, that it itself expects an extremely dumb audience that needs to have every plot detail explained at length and finding a series that actual has some subtlety in the way it portrays some themes is always a pleasent suprise.
i just finish the whole season today and i still cant get out the fact how dark that anime has become as its progress
The reaction to this show reminds me a lot of the reaction to MLP: FiM. A lot of people like it and a lot of people just don't get it. That's fine though, because we all like different things for different reasons. ;)
I think we found the future of anime cg, not some tool for out of place special effects, but as a pure cost/labor saving mechanism.
The ultimate adventure of 2017.
Subjects covered here remind me of some of the feelings I got from the Mother series of games.
Set-up is pretty direct and straightforward, save the world blah blah, and then it starts to mess with you. In the heart as well as the brain. The odd lucid feelings from the wonderful or tragic moments, so much to remember.
And it's always fun to poke around with post-apocalyptic themes in interesting ways. The kind where it's a whole new world that only has at best subtle hints of the past.
Both communities definitely have a great share of theorycrafters, as well. And it's only gotten the respective series' more cred as time has went on.
imagine watching kemono while drunk
I don't even remember giving it the 3 episode test. Before I knew it I was on episode 4, 5, 6. Instant hook! The characters are so lovable and the way the story unfolds really keeps you engrossed. Even more so when they start showing the dark story behind Janpari Park. I really really hope there is a Season 2 or even a prequel to document the 1st and 2nd eruptions.
"I would very much like to see how the franchise continues from here on out" Oh my sweet summer child.
;-;
Wow. You've almost convinced me to watch it. I couldn't even get past the first episode, but you make it sound... actually not atrocious.
Sugoooi! You all must be friends who can't stop complaining about animation quality!
Tanoshii~ Complaining on the internet sure is fun!
the fact that this is a thing fascinates me
i forced myself throw this anime in one day, and only realized how much i loved it in the 30 minutes following its ending, it was nice
Well I got immersed in the mystery of the world and well the interpretation of the "friends" designs . The soundtrack also is what pulled me in alot. I do look forward to the Movie tbh.
so in short the main character is really just that world's equivalent of a missingno?
Your Re-missed to not mention the opening theme song.
That's at least half the reason why the show was popular.
meritocratic1337 it seems to me that he tried to type "your're missed", wanting to convey the meaning of "you missed"
What I love most about Kemono Friends, aside from the points you've already made, is its serious yet cheerful approach to nature facts. I've always loved learning more about animals and the natural world since I was a kid, but it was always annoying that a lot of the children's media about nature was too saccharine and kiddish, with no enough new facts to satisfy my desire to learn. The older I've gotten, the harder it's been for me to find works that are creatively engaging yet deal with factual elements of nature.
So I loved how we could have this wonderful, fun adventure and still learn new things about different animals and ecosystems. It's the kind of show I want to watch with my kids when I have them someday.
I mainly liked the show for its mystery / adventure aspect. It was a great time each week and I hope it gets a season 2!
what i dug about this show were all the random artifacts of japari park that were never expounded upon. like, the random broken gates, or the cabin at the top of the mountain beside a broken lift. it let you know what the park had been before whatever devastated it. also, i came to realize on my own why lucky was only talking to kaban. it didn't handhold or exposit any info unless it would make sense to, and that was really neat and unsettling. i liked this show so much more than i had expected
This was a weird experience for me, in a positive way. I normally avoid full-CGI stuff like the plague, but after the series gained so much traction, I thought I'd give it a shot. And oddly, the animation was one of the attraction points to me. The characters' stiff movements and the semi-surreal world and tone somehow just clicked. While we're familiar with the uncanny valley in CGI mimicking live action, KF seemed to hit the right kind of CGI-to-anime uncanny valley to make it somehow mesmerizing to watch. It called me back to times when I'd be sick at home instead of going to school and zoning out in front of the TV, a bit loopy on cough medicine. Between this and LWA, I'd say Winter 2016-17 was one of the best seasons for kids in a while. Also, the alpaca's voice was great.
There's no amount of plot that can get me to watch CG this bad
With all the fanart I've seen of shoebill, this is the first time I've heard her voice. I and so happy
What is interesting is the little details in the environment, near the end of season 1 you'll see a shot of a B-2 stealth bomber, and you would think why in god's name is there a bomber in a Zoo. My theory is what ever happened in this park resulted in the use of military force, but it wasn't affective so human's straight up abandoned the park, probably created a exclusion zone around or the whole world is in ruin from being over run.
Hi There wait at what point in the last episode does a B-2 bomber show up?
@@JD260A9 when there where climbing up to the rim of the volcano they past some bomb craters and A crashed B-2
I just finished watching it today. I agree it is way better than it looks, its made for kids yet the world of Kemono Friends has such a dark and mysterious vibes, theres so much we dont know. I also learned some cool new animal facts ahah.
As I had expected, I do agree with you, but I have my own reasons...
1: The plot is overwhelming, which made me caught up by the season.
2: Did the music catch you? Because it sure did with me!
3: The design, its beautiful, right?
4: My final reason, the friends, the plot, the music, basically everything in the series had caught me up, so I am waiting for season 2!
Mostly I am saying this because I love it!
5: (Bonus) That mystery, had me HOOKED! I mean, Serval was one of my favorites, but then again, Kaban was AMAZING! You know?
This show has become my newest obsession and I'm so glad a second season has been greenlit. Also, if they were to make a Kemono Friends open-world MMORPG, I would buy it immediately.
ありがとう
Kemono friends instantly became one of my favorite shows. While the cuteness and darker-seeming back story initially hooked me, it was Kaban's journey finding her place in the world and the theme of friends working together that really stuck with me. It's exactly the kind of story I needed at that point in my life. I loved it so much I immediately made an emotional video about it.
Well I'm glad you liked the series too! Now hopefully your influence will get people to realize it's actually good an not just a meme.
I loved the series. episode 8 was the best ;)
It is more than sum of its parts, that’s for sure.
I really love this show, I did a little writing about it actually as my first bit of getting back into blogging. I was writing about the religious symbolism in the show which a lot of the conversation around the show moved to towards the end of its run in the anitwitter sphere that was watching. Lots of the internet missed out on it, and I'm not totally sold on all my thoughts on religious symbolism some time removed, but it was a fun engaging conversation at the time!
