Anker cables are really good, better than the ones that come with the phone. Just avoid the dollar store unless you need something to shove in a backpack as backup.

i get with older usbs like the ones with the hooks on them (these hooks can literally rip out tte port lol), but 'flat' usbs shouldnt do this lol

@@djpainkiller3326 actually Apple original cables are bad quality, I use only Beceus, Blitzwolf or Anker MFI cables. They are certified by Apple, but have much better quality, same as regular android from same companies

This acctually happened to me and I literally just got the charger bit out of my iPad like 5 mins ago, I used a sewing needle to get it out btw.

This happened with my iPad, but with the headphone plug. The iPad got old so I eventually got a new one, but it was very annoying and the shop couldn’t help at all.

Day 2 of asking: You should do a vid where you try to put in iphone parts into a Z-Flip case, and see if you get and I-Flip 13 Phone, hehe.
The iPhones don’t have flexible screens and the Z-Flip screen is not compatible with the iPhone, so you would just get a not working piece of tech.

That happened to my old iPad. It was a nightmare.
Had this happen to me. We tried everything at home so we reluctantly went to the Apple Store. Took them over an hour to get it out. Thankfully they didn’t charge a dime.

I think you can just stick some blue tac on the end of some tweezers or something so you don’t have to pry

This happened to me with the headphone jack, I had no volume, until the repair guy broke the headphone jack on purpose, so at least I have volume again
Same thing happened to a 6s I had. Bad quality chargers will do that. The top piece will somehow break off and get stuck in there. A pair of tweezers and careful maneuvering got it out though.
I had the exact same problem and we did the same thing and it worked!

That happened to mine but my dad had the right tools and it dident damage the charging
This happened to me, thankfully I was able to get the piece out since it was sticking out
That’s the exact same thing that happened to me
I have had this happen with cheap no name cables. It took me using a snapped in half tooth pick and super glue to get the lightning “head” out of my iPads port. And stuck to reputable brand cables after that and it haven’t happened since. I didn’t want to shred the inside of the port trying to use a needle to grab the edge. It was what you pulled out but snapped evenly and still had the plastic/contacts on it not just the metal frame you pulled out. Mine broke like 8/10 into the port with just the cable with a tiny nub that separated.
I once got the hole charger bit stuck in the port I used a pair of tweezers to get it out
That happened with my computer lol
You can even remove the part of the charger at home with a pair of tweezers.

God this reminded me of a memory when I pulled out the charger of my mom's phone and it was inside of it you definitely know how much I panicked when that happened and unfortunately it was never fixed even when the was charger outside

This happened to me and I just used the charger while it was broke but eventually I did what you did but with a different tool and it worked.

dude it sucks when this happens, i had a really good charger and I was bringing it with me to school. I forgot that i still had the charger in it… So when I took it out it was stuck in there and now i have to use a bad charger
Using a steel (or metals) in charging poet might create short circuit so avoid using that. Instead use a toothpick.
Pretty hard to mess up lightning ports unless you short or rip pins out
This happened to me once. It was so scary, but luckily a small part of it was sticking out so I was able to pull it out with tweezers. Unlucky me also had it happen with headphones :(
This is how this happened…When I moved my charger from my iPad port to my iPhone port the charger wouldn’t stay in the iPhone, so I replaced it.
Later, when I went to charge my iPad again, the new charger wouldn’t stay in the iPad port, but it worked on both my iPhones with no problem?
Come to find out, when I moved the old charger from my iPad, I was half asleep and not careful and it left a tiny broken piece of the charger (exactly like the piece you found) stuck in the iPad port. I got and it out and you saved me some bucks. Good job, Thanks.
When I had my ipad pro, this had happened to me, but it was the lightning tip that got stuck. Luckily it was easy to get out.

I recently had something crazier: the upper metal part of the lightning plug broke off in the port. Plastic part with pins came out. Oh yeah and it happened again with another cable from the same order, only a day later.

Super cheap chargers, I’ve seen this happen 3 times. But it’s relatively easy to remove it with some tweezers

I had this once when i was drinking with friends and was charging phone with a power bank. I think something accidentally dragged the cable in a direction and end of the cable just broke. Luckily that part wasnt really deep inside, wasnt hard to get it out

This happened to my sister’s iPhone before. The metal bracket at the end of the charger broke up into the phone probably just from excessive use or a faulty charger or maybe she could’ve dropped the cable on hard surface and the metal bracket came loose and she didn’t realize. It was a pain to get out and I had to use needles since the port is so small. Eventually I got it out and the charging port thankfully survived
i dropped my ipad once when it was charging and it snapped right off and bent the case a bit, yank the remaining piece out and its still good and has been years since and im still using it, lighting port are durable as fuck

I've seen these mostly because people use third party cables. The metal is cheap and breaks inside.
