Brian love watching your videos! Always looking for ways to maximize profits for my company. We mainly do mulch, not too much lawn care/landscaping... just a tip would be to only use pitch forks, it takes a lot less energy and can provide a "smoother" finish to the mulch. We have one guy spread the piles out and another guy follows and smooths out all the bumps. 2 guys can easily knock out 20+ yards a day with a couple wheel barrows and pitch forks
Looks great, I have 30 scoops of mulch being delivered to my house on Tuesday. Landscapers spreading it Wednesday. Will definitely be throwing some pics up on Instagram.
I have an up sell recommendation for you. Next year, tell the client that you recommend lifting the decorative stones to the top of the mulch. If you use a tractor next year, it can be quick easy money and help make it pop since it looks like some of the rocks are starting to disappear under the mulch.
Can you do a video about the business side, like what is cosidered a write off, choosing an entity, type of insurances to get, about bonds, etc. Thank You
Great video! At what point would you dig some of those beds out and start over? Bed at 2:20ish looks super tall. Or does everyone just keep going up and up? Thanks so much for the videos.
With all that nice mulch, don't you have a "Blower truck" that can blow that mulch into the beds? How many hours did it take y'all to spread the twenty yards?
Looking sweet brother keep up the awesome work i sww a f 450 dump witha plow by plowing season kill two birds with one stone second plow truck plus dump for law business
Just throwing my 2 cents here, maybe 3 cents. I know your new to this and it was last year, but the bed should be much more clean and i see you pulled all the existing mulch off the curb lines "Good"! but go through and blow all that mulch away before laying new mulch in the bed. Also PLEASE PLEASE stop using and this for anyone using a KOMBI or a hard edge to refine beds. ITS NOT USED FOR THAT. Gas power hard edging tools are made for side walks ONLY. I noticed that beds had no edging. Try hard to push that to a customer "not only does that generate a call back to refine through out the year it looks a lot better. If a customer does not want to pay for it i sometime will do it anyways "at the end of the day, its your work" make it picture worthy. Buy a a "King Spade" 15" from AM Leonard, its not french either so need for the extra its just "Leonard" lol. And finally when possible move the dump trailer around the site, do not use a tractor. Most customer will prefer no equipment like that or motorized concrete buggies for mulching its not smart, it appears lazy. Bottom line tho i think what you do for those who are new to the industry is great. Keep up the great videos. Browse our google or sites for examples if needed. (Myers Landscaping Inc. and Myers Tree Farm Inc. located in the Rockford, IL area. No bed edge? That mulch is going to wash out first rain storm and choke out all the grass around it. It'll look like garbage in 2 weeks without a bed edge.
Wow the bed prep and edge work looks fantastic

Good suggestions!
That should always be done anyway
To skip using a rake to level out stuff take that metal rake your using to spread and after spreading turn it upside down to level. It works amazing.
Nice video
I use my Toro dingo and my ventrac with the bucket it is a lot easier than using wheelbarrows!
Sweet!

Damn those beds are gonna need some dig out before any more pile on.
Agreed
How many yards is that? Heck I’d get it blown into the bed getting under those trees looks like a pain
I run John Deere myself so I'm digging the tractor!
that Mulch is looking great!
might of been a good idea to prune out some of those low dead branches off those Colorado Spruce trees.....
Would’ve been nice for sure but we didn’t get paid go do that.
I prefer the Finn bark blower.
Great video! At what point would you dig some of those beds out and start over? Bed at 2:20ish looks super tall. Or does everyone just keep going up and up? Thanks so much for the videos.
Brian Hawtin agree with you on that. Looks way to tall
Probably next season we will overhaul some stuff
The slope of the boulevard is tough, that has to get some work done eventually, agreed.

Why no wire leaf rake?

Does brandon have his own channel?
Nah but he should!
I have that same tractor, but the wheels have much bigger tread on them
How do I find out who is in charge of HOA management
Just ask someone in the Sub
I'm trying to get a demo of a motorized wheelbarrow hehe
18K!!
Fa sho! Almost to Stanley's level.. lol jk
You could get ventrac for that and cheaper than John dear
For the 4500 Ventrac it is only about 14k
That John dear is about 17-18k
Just going by what I saw on the Internet
It Can practically in the wettest conditions and The only slope mower that doesn’t tear up the grass and is multi year round use
Just curios do You wish you had started landscaping 10 years ago?
I wouldn't say off that batt but, knowing what I do now, I do wish I expanded my services at least 5 years sooner. But no complaints or regrets 1 bit.
Ah, that makes sense! And all you can do is live the now and for the future you can't go back.

Awesome thanks for sharing. This site definitely does not pay for bed edging. Thanks for sharing the tips!
Why would he handle all that mulch with wheel barrows and man power if he could use the tractor

It’s 2 weeks out and no, it hasn’t.
Nice
