- Wreckland Run continues the “Solo Hero Series” and is made by the same team that brought you Warp’s Edge. It’s clearly inspired by Mad Mad. However, will Wreckland Run be worthy to become part of your collection? Find out in my review of Wreckland Run!
Hopefully you enjoy the video! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch my review! This year is off to a quick start. There will be a few videos upcoming and I hope to see you all there! Take care, Solo Knights!
Sincerely,
Solo Board Gaming Knight

Once again, thank you for taking the time out of your day to hang out with me. 2023 just got started but I am looking forward to what is to come! I wonder if the games releasing this year will surpass the greatness of last years releases. There’s a few fun videos coming your way and I hope to see you all there! Take care, Solo Knights!
Sincerely,
Solo Board Gaming Knight
There is a game called Waste Knights which is Mad Max-ish also--using vehicles. I'd like to play it, but people either love it or are disappointed with it--by Ares who published This War of Mine, one of my favorites!
@@chrisw942 I wonder how different it is from Wreckland Run. Surprisingly, Wreckland Run nailed the post apocalyptic theme and it was even well represented in the gameplay!
The art style on this game is simply delicious. Another great video, Knight!
Thank you! It’s always fun to chat with you! I’ve added timestamps to highlight some of the funnier moments and when I answered to comments. Thanks for stopping by! I always appreciate it!
Standing ovation. Great video that I also 100% agree with. Subbed!
Thank you and welcome to the channel!
Brilliantly done. Great work
Thank you! This was a great addition to the Solo Hero Series!
Fun game, after I learned to play it!
It is! I learned about Wreckland Run because of Warp’s Edge, which is also a great solo game. It’s made by the same developer but it takes place in space with a Groundhogs Day/Edge of Tomorrow type of gameplay.
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight I’ll have to check that one out!
Great review. 👍
Thanks!
Great recommendation! Really enjoying this one
It’s a great solo game! Warp’s Edge is really good, too!
Hey man, it’s been a while since we’ve seen anything new from you. Hope you’re doing well and looking forward to the next video!
Thanks for asking if all is well with me! Everything is great, thankfully! The thing is, my life took a drastic change this year and really cut into my free time. I still play and I’m still working on videos but just at a MUCH slower pace. I really look forward to uploading some reviews and videos soon! Thanks again for just stopping by and making sure everything is good. Hope everything is well with you, too. I did go live a few weeks ago. If you’d like to see that, you can click here ua-cam.com/users/liveAeqOHBQKes4?feature=share there are timestamps to help you look for the parts where there were conversations going on. I’ll see you soon J.Dot!
Hi! I really enjoy your reviews. Do you have any interest in reviewing print-and-play games from indie publishers?
Oh, the soundtrack! I am with NRGY, a flash from the 80's past.
As usual, a video that delivers an esay insight on the mechanics and flow. As a bit of nitpicking, the lighting throws a lot of shadows. While the game elements kind of blending in with the table surface, the shadows hit me as brutally harsh.
The game looks like a like a lot of fun. Would love to take it for a spin. Still haven't found the game anywhere available without paying more for the shipping than the game itself.
I think, if I would ever start making videos, I'd start with the top 10 of worst rulebooks in my collection.
Lol! That’s the soundtrack that was playing in my head with an endless loop while playing Wreckland Run!
Hopefully you can find it cheap. I’m pretty sure it’ll start popping up everywhere soon. As far as the lighting goes, since our move, there are things we’re still working on around the house. Getting light in my game room is tough. You should see what happens behind the scenes of the making of my videos. Sometimes it’s a nightmare and more difficult than it needs to be but hopefully soon, my room will be complete. It’s going to take several months but good things come to those who wait!
You should make that video! I’d watch it! I did one a few months ago, too. Guess which game made it on the list?
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight Easy to guess, it is clearly "Drive-me-nuts-land Run".
But can it live up to the horrendousness of a Robinson Crusoe (1st edition) or a Sidereal Confluence? Does it close ranks with the dread and despair caused by the rules for Batman: Gotham City Chronicles? How about a rulebook that just doesn't really cover end game like with Everrain? The jumbled up wire binder pages in Sheol were torturous. The triple printed pages of Black Angel were great fun too, great way to compress the rulebook. Ahh, I could go for pages.
@@Biodelic You have enough to make a really interesting video. You should try it!
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight Since all the camera gear I have is a Note 10+ and an Olympus micro 4/3, aside from the lack of any video editing experience, I highly doubt something even remotely enjoyable would manifest. Going out and buying gear just for an experiment is just not me.
And slide show videos are so 1990. 😂
This game looks really fun--I'm obsessed with post apocalyptic themes! I like the vehicle repairs and upgrades--no one wants to survive the wastelands in a hoopty😄! Next game I'm purchasing is Fallen Lands a dystopian sandbox adventure.
P.S. Renegade Games Studios has awesome games!
I agree. Renagade has many great deck builders and heroes of the grid is fantastic.
Ufff there is a game for late pledge called forsaken that you might like with post apocalyptic sci-fi theme. Is being produced by game trayz. And looks phenomenal.
It is a really good game. Admittedly, it’s the first post apocalyptic board game I’ve played but it was worth it! I’ll have to look into Fallen Lands.
@@boardsandstuff5008 I second Heroes of the Grid. A few months ago, I purchased the card box. Next month, I’m going to buy the Zordon Dice Tower. Can’t wait!
@@boardsandstuff5008 I’ll look into it. My wallet needs to recover a little bit this month. Hoplomachus Victorum caused some damage to my wallet. 😂
I backed out of the KS but I'm not sure that I can keep holding off on a solo game with that Brett Parson art. I love his Tank Girl stuff so much and I've stated before how I hope they have a Tank Girl expansion. They could even do a Judge Dredd on his Lawmaster escaping The Cursed Earth.
I remember you mentioning that. Both of those characters would be fun to add to WR. I kind of doubt they’ll do it but I hope that I’m wrong. I almost bought a Judge Dress game a little over a year ago but the reviews were harsh on it. We need some Judge Dredd on our tables!
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight I have Judge Dredd Helter Skelter and the Dark Judges expansions which is essentially a Dredd skin for Wildlands the board game. The Lost Expedition reskin for Dredd 'Judge Dredd The Cursed Earth ' is also good if not brutal.
Not sure if its been asked but base Warps Edge vs Wreckland Run? You can only own one, which one wins out?
@@zdelorean88 I have been debating that question in my mind ever since I started playing Wreckland Run. Warp’s Edge is a one off so you can play a game and call it a night. Wreckland Run is more of a commitment with the campaign changing your driver’s skills and abilities as well as changing the part deck and enemy vehicle deck.
Gameplay-wise, Warp’s Edge is more straightforward and your decisions are more limited gameplay-wise but still remaining highly entertaining. The fun comes from building your bag and warping with a stronger ship. I think that Wreckland Run gives you more choices and options to play with across several different game mechanics.
I prefer Warp’s Edge when it comes to a quick game night. I prefer Wreckland Run when it comes to progression. Man, that’s a tough question to answer because they’re both really fun to play but they both offer completely different experiences. I purposely did not include a comparison in the review but I would choose Wreckland Run. There’s just more options to play with and a lot of variability which includes vehicles, drivers, parts and upgrades. That’s not even including enemy vehicles, various environmental hazards and bosses.
I choose Wreckland Run because I believe it offers the most variability but I’m just going to throw it out there, they’re both really good. Choosing between those games is really tough because you’ll be missing out if you choose just one.
As a side note, one of my biggest pet peeve’s is when videos are made comparing two different games (for example) and the video ends up making it a draw. That’s the reason I wouldn’t make a comparison video like I did with MC and LotR LCG for Wreckland Run and Warp’s Edge. You left me feeling torn but I did give you my honest answer. Great question!
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight I appreciate the detailed reply. Now I’m even closer to purchasing Wreckland.
There is a pretty cool game to check out on Kickstarter. Called phantom epoch. Is pretty cool campaign space dungeon crawler with character progression. You should do video covering Kickstarter games that calls your attention. .
This comment got lost in the shuffle but I caught it. Man, I just finished commenting on your most recent comment and I CAVED!! I ended up backing Oathsworn!!! The devs mentioned in one of their updates that they are asking for orders to be placed by Feb 3rd. The pledge manager will remain open after that but it is not guaranteed that everything will be available afterwards.
In a way, I’m glad you commented and reminded me about Oathsworn. Once again, this is why I appreciate our little community that we’ve formed. There’s a few of us here that just keep recommending some great games to one another! That’s what it’s all about!
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight yes. Solo rolling doesn’t need to mean alone.
I had to edit it as it make no sense. Hahaha.
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight you went minis or standees?
@@boardsandstuff5008 I went with the minis.
@@SoloBoardGamingKnight you went all in for real. That’s awesome. I had to also back marvel United multiverse as to have the complete collection. For a few reasons. The addition of equipment cards, the new solo mode which pits a single hero with support against the villain, the one vs many and the minis which I use for my marvel multiverse table top rpg.
Can someone post a link to the site where rules errata/clarifications can be found? Thx
