    Could definitely relate to what Nik was saying about 'space.' I struggle with that a lot. You could see Alec's elbow pulling toward his hip. That tight feeling is something I really try to avoid. Really want to have that loose flowing stroke, but sometimes my nerves lead to bad play/form, lack of power, etc.

    Love this video. Re-establishing timing and spacing before getting more intense or complex is smart. Also a great workout.

    • @IntuitiveTennis
      @IntuitiveTennis  Рік тому +6

      Sometimes the position of the wrist in the takeback phase will make the grip look more extreme than it is. I get hundreds of comments people asking why I’m using an extreme western grip when indeed I used SW my whole life. ua-cam.com/video/q-hjcuvgGRg/v-deo.html

    TimThe music Man, hit the nail on the head. Dude need to rehab through exercise and diet before attempting to play serious tennis again. After that he should go on a serious fitness regiment and bring the tennis back slowly. Tim is also correct in that a person's rating is determined on 'match play' not practice play. If practice play is the standard I would be a 5.0 when in reality I am probably at a 3.0 playing level. He will find out the hard way when he try to get out there and play at the rating he stopped at. He should do a medical appeal to the USTA if he's registered, and go as low as they will allow even down to 3.5 and play his way back up. Match play doesn't lie, a person either win or they don't. Pro tennis players often drop down to a lower circuit when they come back after being out for a while as do some NBA and MLB players. Listen to your body and save yourself. If the pros do it should not everyone else?

    his knees may not withstand this high intensity... he'd better be careful and start a little slower

  • @TimTheMusicMan
    @TimTheMusicMan Рік тому

    Fast serves and standing on the baseline and a 2 handed backhand will get you only so far, maybe a few matches here and there in whatever club you play. Players today are one dimensional, it's missing the variety and shot making, drop shots, and net volleying, even kicking a slower serve wide, all of these should be emphasized. Do everything you possibly can disrupt your opponent, don't just hit it back to them.

  • @TimTheMusicMan

    This poor guy has 2 knee issues and is out of breadth ? and at such a young age ? I assume he's in his 20's. I have placed several people on bone/joint rebuilding nutrients and they work miracles, but its takes time and dedication. I think he needs to correct other issues before reviving tennis. And I don't think a rating can be applied to someone without in game match play, his strokes may be a certain level, but unfortunately with the conditioning issue and the knees it's too difficult to assess a rating.

      There are no special nutrients outside of what’s already available from a Whole Foods diet that promote tissue/bone regeneration. Perhaps some pseudo-science claims that are medically unsubstantiated. Thankfully our body already produces fibroblasts and osteoblasts that do just that, though their production decreases as we age. You know how we manage to increase production despite this fact, by increasing load. The entire concept of modern physical therapy. The body responds to these new external forces by reinforcing its structural anatomy on a cellular level. Medically proven beyond dispute. After a client returns to baseline strength via weights/resistance we then have to target the ballistic strength ie Sports training. If this guy had surgery then he most certainly had physical therapy and has been released to increase strengthen through more dynamic means. Which is exactly what you see here. So you’re both incorrect in your medical suggestions and tennis suggestions as seen by your many unsolicited posts on this video alone.

    • @TimTheMusicMan
      @TimTheMusicMan Рік тому

      Wow, wow. Almost everything you mentioned was incorrect. What % of the public ingests all of the Whole Foods needed to regenerate? Answer 0%. What % of Whole Foods contain all the nutrients needed ? Answer 0%. By your analysis, the entire supplement/herb/naturopathic/nootropic world is worthless, silly, silly. I have witnessed people being injured by PT's manipulation. A relative of mine was in PT and they snapped his achilles' heel. This is a personal instance, I am sure they have done some good as well. Everyone I know who is on a supplement program has done well, everyone I know who trusted western medicine and their poison pills has suffered to some level and some passed away after receiving the unproven jab. No one suffers from a supplement program, it only helps to strengthen, restore and rebuild. Everyone I know who depends on Pharma (chemicals) ends up with terrible reactions and failed organs, anyone who elects chemo/radiation ends up passing from the so called therapy itself. This is modern western medicine at its best. PT is not a cure for all, like anything it may help and it may not help, the only real cure to regeneration and growth has to start with what is ingested, and the 'whole foods' you mentioned are not available anymore, even organic does not contain the level needed. Vitamin C alone can regenerate bone, joint, muscle tissue. Have you ever looked at the nutrition profile of a whole food (fruit or veggie) ? Most of it (90%) is water and natural sugar, the basis for inflammation and breakdown and disease. Sorry no one more, have to run.

      Not a single claim you made is supported by scientific evidence and your attempt to use anecdotal experience as your only substantiation is telling. You’re so steeped in pseudoscience that discourse regarding logic, evidence, or simple intelligence would be wasted efforts. Your lack of education is insufferably palpable.

    • @TimTheMusicMan
      @TimTheMusicMan Рік тому

      Haha, be careful now you are getting upset over bits of information. Everything you said has literal holes in it, my experience and education is in the right areas and is unmatched, I’ve helped so many people who were victims of western medicine, they have been literally poisoned by medicine’ ignorance, lies and stupidity, the king of all the dummies in western medicine was that lying Fauci, he well represented the idiocy of so called medicine. I’ll always remember taking a class in bio Chem at Harvard, it was so shocking to see the instructors who were either overweight and smokers or underweight with aged skin, and these were PhD’s and MD’s at Harvard. They were so unhealthy. 100% true. Ok, have to go, and please leave those poor chiropractors alone. I won’t have anytime to read anything nor respond. Take care. Best. 😁

      @@to174jay9 ? No. My recommendation is one handed backhand. Nick is an excellent teacher but Nick is restricted as it seems all his students have used it prior to taking his instructions. As is baseline play as well. They are all pre conditioned.

      One hander puts all the pressure on one shoulder , not good for older students. It can lead to more rotator cuff issues.
