I love those casters and have them on 3 tables in my shop. One tip I learned is to overhang the table a few inches on the ends with the casters. If greatly cuts down on incidents of kicking into them when walking around the table. Here in the US the 2 major woodworking retailers sell them but Amazon is significantly cheaper if anyone is looking at buying some
Hi Matt, another great video and also getting closer to starting that workshop, and remember it is a poor man that blames his instruction, take card and keep safe.
Lovely workbench just have a concern about the casters sticking out that far that may slice the side of the canverse maybe have wood around the bottom incase you hit it with the casters
I've got similar casters on my bench and ended up bolting a piece of angle iron to the casters at either end as I got sick of going around do push each one. All I need do now is push down on the angle iron at each end to get one side up on wheels.
Some good features on the workbench matt, really good idea having the fold down work top, like you said it may be best to add some more wood underneath just to strengthen it a little
I like those casters Matt, haven't seen them before. That flap is a great idea it saves needing three hands and if you saw into it over time just replace it, it'll only five minutes. Good as new again. Tony
The vice shows an inner surface cutout for the bench inner plate, did you use this? I really like you bench side extension, so simple but so effective.
@@Badgerworkshop on a bench vice you have the front metal plate to which you have attached a piece of wood which you are going cover the front with leather. The back metal plate through which the screws are threaded into the wood body of the bench. This plate is recessed into the bench frame - often cut with a router. This plate also carries screw for you to attach a second wood face to the vice. It is this plate (which is part of the vice kit) I did not see you use. I hope this explains my poorly written earlier piece. K
Like the vice and wheels Matt. I wonder how much you will use the flap thing? My bench is narrow like yours and I hang stuff over the edge to cut it rather than ruining the top with score marks. But hey if it works for you, not trolling 😁

It's like watching an episode of the Goodies, I laughed and laughed... Greetings from Australia
I made an outfeed table for my table saw using the same idea as the workbench extension. Great idea.
Some great ideas thanks Matt 🍺🍺👍👍
Thank you
Brilliant! Really great budget " workstation " .

Matt I did the bench extension as per your video and it's really turned out well, certainly something I wish a I had known about before
Amazing workbench that anyone could build. Love the mods especially the drop-down extension leaf. Well done.
Thank you

Got those type of caster on all my kit. They're brilliant. Like that cap btw. 😁
Thank you. They do work great
Really nice work, Matt! 😃
The vise looks great!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you
I fitted those casters on one of my benches....I replaced the screws as the ones supplied are made of cottage cheese
Hopefully you get great use out of them for many years to come my friend. Keep making. God bless.
Thank you
@@Badgerworkshop your very welcome.
Nice additions to the bench. I have those casters on my bench as well. They a SO helpful.
They do work great
Your videos are always so well put together and have a great vain of humour when things go wrong. Thanks for making the mistakes for me 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you very much
Cool Matt, the project keeps moving forward.
Thank you
how about matching a side Parf side panel to the Parf top. A little stiffening and setting at a true 90 degree??? just a thought!!
The lifting part of the casters will work better if you put a spot of grease where the orange levers contact the black flat part.
Nice one Matt. Onya mate !
Thank you

Yes I have seen this done. Seems a good idea

Thank you Tony. It has been really handy already
Great video, thanks !!
Thank you
Can I ask where you got your workshop tent from please? I’m going to need one in the near future. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean?

@@kevinronald4137 There are no screws for a second face and the side of the Bech will be used for this
@@Badgerworkshop sorry confused with the Veritas kit which does have the screw holes.

I have used it every day since installing
@@Badgerworkshop fair enough Matt, I was not sure you were convinced from the video 😁
🛠👍😊
I think I might be tempted to move the casters around the legs 90 degrees so they are in between the legs. Less of a trip hazard.
I like your thinking only issue would be the flip lever thing would be hard to operate on the inside especially with a shelf underneath
It would not work on my bench
