I have been roaring this amp with my two 12s for almost 3 years now! Outstanding longevity.
I have GS4 and GS100 and these things never fails to impress me. I used to run this amp in bridged mode (2-channel mode) with the final impedance of speaker drivers at 2 ohms and it plays flawlessly for long musical sessions, but then I noticed the amp getting really hot to touch. Then i switched to 4 ohm drivers, now the amp does not heat much and i don't notice much difference in audio quality. I have paired the GS100 with two 12inch subs with final impedance at 2ohm and it is a class D beast. No matter which car the amps go into, they are made to rock your ride.

my experience with Sony and ES lines of amplifiers are superb quality at a great price as well. Something you don’t find very much these days …keep on rocking.

This amp is powering my Sony Mobile ES speakers and the sound quality is so clean and crisp. I love my Sony Mobile ES speakers and DM GS4 amplifier.
how do you have the speakers set up? passive or active? im warming up to this amp with your speakers. want to run them active though..

I am planning to buy xm-gs4. Still this is a good purchase in 2024 any other equivalent amplifier can be considered within same budget
I don’t think anything beats this at the same price point. I am highly impressed with Sony. This is close to JL low and mid tier amps in performance and clean power. This amp blows away kicker CX and similar amps at the same price point.

Yes, two channel input and four channels out, select two channel input on the amp.
Does acoustic characteristics of low pass mode differ between xm gs100 class d and xm G4 Class AB?
I feel so.. XM G4 gives low frequency resonance like below 40 hz and xm gs100 resonance peaking at 48 to 55 hz..
Hello.. I have N1004 amp powering 2 Audison prima components (100W rms) and 2 Audison coaxial speakers (70W rms), both 4 ohm impedance. Unfortunately my speakers are getting tripped every half an hour with high wheezing noise.. although the speakers come to life once I turn off the ignition and restart it.. what might be the issue? Is N1004 amp under powered or there is a head unit problem? I own a xuv 500 w6 car with stock head unit. Thanking in anticipation..
I really hate to say this, take it back to who installed this. If you did it yourself. I'll gladly troubleshoot your system over the phone but like a plumber I start at $125 an hour. Dm me

I am using these two amp in bridge mode n only taking 95w RMS ,so that its can pump out purest signal of 0.05% THD.

I AM using TOPPING BC3 bluethooth at LDAC to take Optical signal out for Topping E30 DAC.. takes analog to feed Helix DSPmini to Drive out two sony GS4 amps used in bridge to drive Front component of morel virtue 602 and rear Alpine R type.
One Rockford T1500 to drive Rockford P3 D4. Subwoofer gain ser at 400w only.
The quality of sound is at par.
@@SanthiratanMandyam once sony ES series headunit will available in india , i will remove topping hook up that ES unit in the car.
I have used JVC 960... it has wireless Android auto n apple carplay, but output of that head unit was very very bad.

@@SanthiratanMandyam Yes from Apple Music n Tidal both, but Tidal has very limited collection so 80% times its apple music and good thing is now apple music also provides losses.

Здравствуйте.Этот усилитель с вентилятором?У меня есть похожий усилитель.Но с небольшими отличиями...И без верхней крышки...Не могу нигде в Ю-Тюбе найти свой не усилитель....Но у меня вентилятор стоит на той ширине,но ровно по центру.И две платы так-же рассположенны,но только по 2 переключателя на фильтрах.
Great specs, but why didn't Sony use better terminals instead of ones from the 90's??
Look at other 70w x 4 rms amps with higher than 90db signal to noise at 1 watt, they are mostly in the $500 range.
@@vipercrazy9910 and... I run Alpine PDX. Didn't pay as much as you're stating, but if you're going to go by one spec, it blows it away in S/N and power making it worth the extra. However, signal to noise isn't the main factor and really shouldn't be used as a big determining factor in amplifier purchase. Nobody listens in the 1 watt range.

Is Audio qulity based on amplifier or head unit?
Mostly the amplifier and your speakers/subwoofers will determine the sound as well as the EQ and audio settings from the headunit if you use them. The headunit really just supplies the signal. A lot of things can affect the quality, like types of cables used, connections.

mine has a bit of a clipping sound from speakers when going beyond rated 70 watt @ 16.7 volts so i would suggest to not go beyond 17 volts or 16.7 volts @ 4 ohm if u want to listen clean
That’s a issue with installation or tuning of the amp. It is not the amp itself.

Sony still don't learn to place the Remote lead between + and - leads...damn this is so stupid if you want 4/6 awg cables so much less space for isolation of the cables

I own a kia seltos and it has 4 door + 2 front tweeters stock... stock speakers are pretty nice but they lack stereo sound

The SMD AMM-1 readings do not add up and make sense?
At 1khz you state 19.17volts thats 92rms not 72rms
You also claim 19.14amperage draw with 2 channels hooked meaning for the claimed 72rms reading of the AMM-1 to be true the amp would need to be as inefficient as %52 which is wicked low.
Going back to the table of 19.17 volts being 92rms then the 19.14 amperage is more believable as it would put the amp at %66.5 efficiency
Same goes for your results with 40hz sinewave you state 19.08volts which is 91rms not 76rms as claimed with the Amm1 and at 18.42 amp draw the efficiency would have to be %57 for the amm1 to be correct which again doesnt sound right whereas if we take it as 91rms it would be %68 which does sound right

You are simply wrong, and looking at the wrong product. This is 400 amp, that can be had for around 250. It is not a 130 though.
