No. It would NOT be a good idea. I would flame the damn forums for the next three months after such crap as declaring a wow spinoff gets content the retail game doesn't get.
Ogres should have been in burning crusade. And High elves or blood elves should have gone to the alliance. They have no place in the Horde and stain the streets off Ogrimmar

It will be great AS LONG as they dont raise the level cap. If they raise the level cap, all the dungeons and raids at 60 will be OBSOLETE. Just make the new content raids in difficulty along AQ40 and Naxx, and the new dungeons between ZG and AQ20. Thats the key. That way u can mix gear from AQ40, Naxx and new two raids (or how many) , and the dungeons/20 mans are ZG/AQ20 style. Focus on new factions, questlines.
well, they still need to have raid tiers. Even vanilla had raid tiers, once you hit the next tier a ton of the gear from the previous raids becomes obsolete.
I think they just need to very very slowly increase the level, maybe 1 level per year, nothing too too drastic. I hope for a future kind of like osrs, maybe one bigger update per month and smaller weekly updates, adding fun little things like events
@@Large_Pepsi that would fuck with so many peoples OCD so, so hard. Cata already caught a lot of flak for that, but what 1 level a year would be infinitely worse
Personally, I wanna see the LK invade and conquer Stormwind. Imagine the visuals of him walking into the throne room, sitting on the throne, and having the entire chair and room slowing become encased in ice.
Crossing finger it WON'T be an actual 'expansion'. It should be an extension, an enrichment of classic, not a chunk of brand new content isolated from the base game, making it obsolete.
Kinda feel that the level cap going up to 70 is a bad idea she not in the spirit of classic +. I'd always imagined it just being more content around vanilla with the same level cap. Adding to that just risks ending up with things feeling redundant outside the current xpac like retail
The question is whether the classic plus will be like the original or, in a typical late blizz fashion, they will start putting tokens cosmetics, etc, and waste the whole concept
If they do this, this would literally be World of Warcraft 2, but yeah Classic +, they just need to cater to the fanbase. Ogres and High Elves. Learn from their mistakes and take from them. Allow such things like; Northrend Campaign - Horde gets the Taunka, Alliance gets the Frostborn. The Cataclysm never happened because Deathwing was stopped in Deepholm before he could erupt into Azeroth so Pandaria remains shrouded in the mists meanwhile the Wandering Isles roams close to the mainlands as a ghost island that sparks an expedition leading us to discover the Broken Isles and Kul'Tiras/Zandalar, etc perhaps even discover Kezan with Goblins being introduced as Playable and we getting Kezan as a fully explorable island and a threat looming in the Undermines because they have relics that are strong enough to revitalize the Sunwell 10 times over (forgotten by blizzard like always), as well as seeing Naz'jatar without the water taken out to deal with Queen Azshara and befriend the Ankoan and Gilblins. Maybe even introduce the Emerald Dream originally and perhaps after exploring it a bit we try to go home only to discover we took the wrong portal and discovered one of the connected continents like the Dragon Isles while it is slumbering leading to Old Gods following us here corrupting the Nascent Dragon Isles and causing the Primalists to awaken earlier perhaps as an ally instead dealing with the Void now. So much opportunity in a rewrite.
I'd actually love to have an option to use modern retail quality graphics in classic; important that it is an option to toggle though so everybody gets the choice - like the water toggle that exists in classic now.
Wow Classic exists solely because of Nostalgia, changing the graphics changes the game. Even Classic+ needs to keep the shit old graphics to still be considered Classic.
Personally lvl 70 is wrong (from that C+ "leak") in a lvl 1-60 vanilla Azeroth and do NOT add flying to it. What can be done is maybe some class tweaks so it's not gonna be warriors and rogues reigns supreme. Give tank pala a taunt, dps pala crusader strike, boomkins some mana reg, same for shadow priests etc without going too crazy with the changes. Things like that. Just don't blindly trust them. Remember what they said during blizzcon announcing classic "we want to reproduce the authentic game as it were then" bs and look what we got for Classic version: Level boost, able to make 55 DK on a fresh account and above all, f-ing wow token! I'll stay sceptical optimist at best. 1) I will play "Classic+" if they do it right. But if they are even thinking of adding level boost and especially wow token, HARD pass! Maybe that's why they charge 50 bucks, hence no token? 2) For the love of God if they add High Elves (BEs) please update the bow animation to newer one. Was a big welcomed change later on. Old animation is aweful. A simple toggle would work. 3) Scarlet Monastery raid. Considering how popular SM dungeons have always been. Fill the empty and unfinished areas with content. Many places on the world map to add more. 4) If they will add housing which was a plan for Vanilla back in the days, don't make it like in WoD. Last thing we need is "empty" servers where people sit in their houses and "farm/craft" all day. I was one of those players who quit WoW Classic Wrath when they added the token. Also spread the word that this years Blizzcon will be FREE to stream and that has been confirmed.
So they are copying Turtle WoW? it is funny how they went from stating that players don't know what they want to copying private servers that offer what players want. They will try to start fresh but they will still ruin it, they already added their monetization schemes into classic, it is over already, they wont do anything against the hundreds of bots that ruin the experience of real players and most importantly, they haven't learn their lesson, they will ruin vanilla with all the stuff that ruined retail, they will keep pushing DEI into the game, they still believe that an MMORPG works better with a single player storyline making the player the main character rather than just an adventurer in a dangerous but fascinating world and they will still try to incorporate needless free to play type features to make the game more like a "service" rather than just a fucking MMORPG where you can just have fun discovering what new interesting stories and dangers the world has to offer.
Perhaps something crazy happens after we defeat Fyrakk and the Dream affects Azeroth in rather surprising ways returning Azeroth to a state without intervention from titans or old gods
Definitely a fun concept and not without precedence in current wow with the timeline incursions. In reality though, it's more than likely a fan project that's getting some official approval and support. We'll just have to wait and see.
There could be an Illidan raid located in Felwood, which transfer us in the past in the War of the Ancients Arthas deathknigh raid where we go back in time and see how he purged Lordearon. Medivh raid not in Karazhan, maybe somehwere else. Where we have to find corrupted Medivh. Avatar of Sargeras raid where you fight nexto Aegwynn herself. Dalaran raid. Titan raid. Gilneas City raid or city where you discover the corruption of the worgen curse Ruins of Arathor raid. 1st and 2nd war raid, where you go back i ntime. Thereamore raid, again we go back in time to stop Daelin Proudmore. Ogre city in Feralas; Dustwallow Mars or Twighlight Highlands. Quel'Thalas zone and city. Scarlet Crusade raid(s). Alak'ir raid, i know we had it in Cata, but not in classic, since main tanks get the Thunderfury? Uldum zone. Mount Hyal zone. Bloodsail Buccaneers raid. Maybe some short fun gnome/goblin raid. LvL 60 should remain the same, but the tiers increase and better viable talent. Remove debuff counter on bosses and make them thougher. (probably the hardest one) New tier sets Add achivements Add more reputation factions. Remove op passive racials and add active better racials. The raid are all lore basedm so there's no reason why they can't use 'em. Zones and cities are already established. I could write a list for days, but half of these, even quarter of these would happen people would be happy.
This is the direction I wish happened instead of BC... I started playing in BC but I never liked that expansion and the fact that it led to what ppl come to hate Also, I wish they use updated models / graphics / animations. I dont understand this "it has to look old for it to feel like it use to" bs. What made classic fun was the pacing. The graphics could be updated without ruining that feel
Pozdrav brate, tek sam sad skontao da si naš. Napokon da neko posveti ceo kanal Warcraftu, samo napred, full podrška! Čekamo Blizzcon i nadamo se Classic+. :)
If they did a new classic expansion I would still want Blood Elves added to Horde. But I highly doubt this will even happen seeing as new things are for retail.
If they actually do this then I hope that they will go with the more burning crusade style character builds and the dungeon difficulty and hopefully be a lot more focused on raising as ten man dungeon and I don’t really care if they have 20 man + dungeons. (Was 25 back then)
If they make them look ferocious with blood dripping from their teeth then yes, 100%. If they're just another unfinished furry with Chihuahua fade then no thanks.
If they make level cap 70, that will be a big miss. Unless the item stat crep from 60 > 70 is very very very minimal. Quest greens/blues should not replace any lvl 60 raid acquired gear. Maybe raise the level to 61 when the first raid is released, 62 when the second raid is released, etc could work?
I really hope that there is no raised Level Cap, just new Raid Tiers. Random quest gear you got from an innkeeper at Lvl 61 outleveling the rare armor you obtained from slaying dragons in raids just feels... depressing. The main reason I gravitate towards Classic is the fact that every raid still matters. I hate being able to just skip by TBC and Classic raids in WOTLK Classic. All the content should remain relevant.
I think instead of leveling to 70, I'd rather them release classic, go through it phased out like the re release we had. Just have the new content phased after Naxx. Doesnt have to take as long as it did the first time. I think adding more levels to classic already detracts from the idea of "+"
Kinda torn about this. Would love to have a reset when it comes to certain characters in the new universe but then we already have the lore of the current universe. Idk, I kinda feel like they should do this new story/universe for a warcraft RTS game rather than WOW
I am not a fan of Classic WoW, but an expansion like this would make me try it for sure. The concept and idea is great, however I believe this leak is fake.
I don't think all the concurrent 'timelines' are the problem so much as how much they dare splitting the player-base too thinly across so many versions/realms.
I dont think the level cap should increase. Maybe add like prestige levels that give you access to extra talent points or crafting that way gear and raids dont become skippable irrelevant content.
Since Retail is dealing with timelines and the Bronze Dragonflight, they could easily slip Retail back towards Classic by saying the timeline was disrupted. Everything has been changed. Basically an end to Retail and restarting at Classic with a new timeline direction
If they didn't antiquate gear, as in the gear you get from raids having a range of T1 to 3 and that's it, that would be amazing. It was always a sad affair to vendor loot you and even your guild, spent so much time working towards.
I wouldn't mind this that much as a mostly retail player (started in cata due to financial reasons). The only reason I don't play classic is I main a Hunter and I heard your pet is notorious for running away if you don’t feed it constantly and ammo buying sorta sucks. Realistic, but sucks. I can say I hated what they did with Illidan and Kael'thas in BC though. This would allow them to fix that and maybe even introduced them as a third playable faction when they do introduce them in this new timeline. I would prefer Amani trolls to Ogres though. It'd also make sense lore wise as the Amani are the direct enemies of the High elves.
It's honestly not as bad as it sounds, like yes having one less bag slot is kinda annoying (but Warlocks have the same issue with Soul Shards) but ammo is super cheap, and the pet feeding only really needs to be done every 10-15 mins or so, and you can literally use level 1 food so it costs next to nothing. Also the flip side is your pet is much more powerful than in retail, and if you keep it fed to max it gets a permanent 25% damage buff.
I always enjoyed the RP of having to buy ammo & food. It was never a big issue for me as melee characters especially plate wearers always had way higher repair costs. Thought it tended to equalise over time. Only thing that sucked was the bag slot but you soon got used to managing it or just not looting shit not worth anything. Pet food was fine too. I don't remember having to feed every 15mins but I always used max level food for my cat or wolf which is easy if you have max finishing (you should have it).
I think it would be cool if they made a "what if..." offshoot. Maybe not change the story line all together, but alter it so that outcome of something deviating happened.
Looks like the wishlist we wrote back in 2019, this leak seems somehow too shiny to be true and too underwhelming to be a banger in the same time. The main issue is OBVIOUSLY the lvl 70 cap instead of horizontal progression 60, this has been a major design problem of WoW since 2007.
I suspect it's called Awakening because like you suggested-- the Lich King is coming to invade EK and Kalimdor. They see the success WOTLK had and they see the yearning for Classic+. This is the opportunity for them to merge the two, re-writing the lore as a parallel timeline so they can reintroduce favorite characters and correct the criticism people had the first time around. Gotta hand it to them-- it's a genius idea. Now lets see how well the execute.
Every 20 year mmo has lost its edge. The generation tht played it in 2004 has grown up an gotten old. The younger generation doesn't play mmos. They play shooters. For quick rewards and instant gratification. The mmo genre is dieing off. A thing of the past.
Yeah right… they can just start optimising the old content instead of creating an abomination thata gonna put an end to wow.. and they literally started doing some hot shit this year….
I wonder if the Cinematics were a prelude to their entire project they've been working on behind the scenes, undead fire mages/warlocks would have fun dynamic gameplay.
Playable high elves, what all 30 of them? 90% of the entire high elf population was wiped out and the vast majority of the survivors became blood elves. No point going back to classic and resetting the disregard for lore and atmosphere if the first thing you do is immediately disregard the lore again.
Not sure if Classic+ would necessarily be as substantial as the ideas presented in the video aside from potential additional quests and minor zones. And even then if it were to be a thing expecting it at the latest Blizzcon would require keeping ones hopes up down given how previously people expected classic servers to be announced once upon a time back when they were still a deliberated topic between Blizzard and Nostalrius, but all they got was a performance by Weird Al Yankovic. Only next year when potentially all hope was reverted back to pipe dreaming and private servers did they announce classic servers along with BFA. But if i were to entertain the idea of Classic+, it would be a worth considering. The more grounded to Azeroth aspect i would especially find intriguing as potentially one could milk Azeroth of enough stories to sate the player before going up against something like the Lich King. Cuz it feels kinda like a new cosmic threat enters into the picture every other week when in lore there's decent timeline gaps between expansions when one could potentially fill those out with content that would really make it feel like 4 or so years have passed rather than one year.
If there are no Sin'dorei I wonder how the battle of Quel'dalas differs in this alternate timeline from the main one? 🤔 That or prehaps the blood elves became isolationists and went into the shadows type of thing
Since zandalar was on the old map albeit smaller it could be a vocal point for an invasion on zandalar, the island itself could be its own zone/ raid given its mere size which we sail to. If cataclysm didn't happen in this timeline then the island could already be sinking anyways so the oldest troll empire might attempt a rise to power by connecting with all the troll factions from the old world & we deal with pre existing troll characters/ loa tied to the classic era/ older lore 🤔
Honestly, blizzard has dabbled in time travel already, so it wouldn't be hard doing something like the dragons that mess with timelines going back in time and preventing some major event from happening (like the dark portal opening) and changing everything altogether, y'know?
So Blizzard is looking to correct its mistake that was BC fingers crossed that's the case Elves should never have been with the Horde biggest fucking mistake.
I think a classic with updated graphics a new engine and a different story direction could be a great improvement. Basocly rebuild classic but bigger, zones are larger more stuff in them and then varying off on a different direction. One thing that kills me still is zone size and how tiny each area is, it kinda makes exploring or getting lost kinda a lost joy.
And quest phasing. They did great in wrath. Use that model again so each zone feels like you really changed things as just an adventurer and his pals like classic.
Why wouldn't they do this from the very start of Classic! The Portal was already open by the Time of Wrath so why wait till after Wrath? This seems to be majorly sus in my book!
hope they dont touch the lvl cap. if they raise it then ALL current content is just deleted. let us still progress the normal way and add more raids and questzones
Want to believe this, but I can’t. Because that would mean Blizzard deciding that Ogres are cool enough to be playable and they have denied me for 14 years now. I can’t see a future where their abuse of me will end.
I don't know if this new timeline wil be a good or a bad thing. Let's wait and see. I just hope they will finally upgrade the engine, cause classic wow era assets were the thing, back in the days (and trust me, i loved every of his polygon) but damn it was almost 20 years ago dude
Yeah i find the idea of Classic+ more fun than what's currently put out. Though if it were made into reality would still look into how retail's doing every now and then.
Metzen is responsible both for creating and ruining this world. He was actively ruining characters from Warcraft 3 especially from cataclysm onwards. He run Thrall and Jaina into the ground wasted all others as raid bosses and faction setup idioticly assigned races like nightelves or forsaken that should never be part of the horde or alliance into those factions in vanilla itself. They should be their own independent factions and reputation system should allow any player choose their path and allegience with any faction they desire wih enough legwork, for PvE with friends and roleplay sake.
The old graphics are not just nostalgia. The old graphics have much simpler geometry and texture resolution. This limitation not only breeds the creativity of the designer who has to make something new within the limitation, but it also makes developing new assets much much faster and cheaper. If we want the game to be as good as possible, and we want it in a timely manner, then we should advocate for them to continue the graphics at their current quality.
I think the new character models are so clunky feeling. The old ones had character because they looked… not great. The new ones look great on a character select screen. But when you start playing, the run and casting animations are so awkward looking
pretty sure it wont happen... coz is classic... lol...they will not change for one reason only... coz it will lose a lot players from patch 11.0 above, simple as that... if thats gonna happen it will be on future retail
Imagine now that Metzen is back his reaction was: "Good lord, i left the wrong journal behind! This is the correct one!! Buuut we kinda have to start some of it over to make it work. Soz gg"
this sounds good on paper, but ultimately would just result in bliz having 2 games suffering from lack of focus. classic+ is good for private servers, but you can't capture that magic if you were the ones who created the material to start. this would just be another expansion, save it for retail and make cata classic. lol
Having slightly different elves for the opposite faction would have not looked like a thing that would have happened once, but then they released slightly different looking Draenei and Orcs as their own races, so
If they do this I hope they at least redo the lighting to present standards. The lighting and lack of shaders is what makes classic look ANCIENT in a bad way.
I find the idea of a "classic+" straight out stupid. I mean, what would be the point? Telling an alternate story that contradicts what happened in retail, thereby splitting the established Warcraft lore in two? New zones that are designed like potatoes to match the low-res vanilla graphics? Not only would that undermine the credibility and Blizzard's faith in retail WoW ("We're also not a big fan of our own story, so we'll just reset and do something else"), it would split the community even further. The last thing Warcraft needs after Shadowlands is another "Yo, let's change and retcon the lore of the last 20 years"-product. They'll definetly do more with the Warcraft universe, but my bet is on Warcraft 4, another movie or maybe a Streaming series. Not to mention that it would piss off maaaaaany people if Classic got playable Ogers before Retail.
This I think is the best way to release it. Release classic again next year as it was then the expansion will be classic plus in 12-18 months. This will give them roughly 2 years to develope it.
Updating the graphics to the new art style would be bad. It looks so goofy. There has to be a way to updated them and keep that classic blizzard style.
I just wish wow did something with the world it created... they started the phases but never leaned into it. Like if I'm working on repairing the wall of some town I wanna see a wall be built. Make the world feel like you've actually had an influence on it. Not just the next raiding Simulation
Tbh in my opinion they should keep classic classic and focus just on the new wow, it would make no sense at all to make new content for classic because classic is there to play old content and not new stuff we never saw before, if people want to play new content they should play current wow not classic??
I think this Classic+ Leak ist highly unlikely to Happen for a couple of reasons: 1.) They would have to Support 5 Versions of WoW (Retail, Cata Classic [which has been datamined], Classic Hardcore, Classic Era and on top of that Classic+? I dont think so). 2.) Retail-Community would go riot, especially those who really played from the very beginning and Stick with retail, If the Classic-Community gets Content, that they dont get. 3.) Different timelines and possible New Games: Lets face it: No Game lives forever. WoW is already living longer, but its been stuggling for years already. And it's struggling Not Just in Retail but in Classic as well. If they want to make any other WarCraft Games, even a WoW2 in the Future, a 2nd Timeline will Piss Off the Community, as soon as they want to move on to a New Game, cause: Which Timeline to follow now? Or ignoring both? Whatever they decide, they will piss off Fans. 4.) The Leak ist actually already pretty Old. 😂 And didnt Come to Pass Back then. And 50€ for a Classic+ Expansion where barely anything is in? That's quite cheeky. 5.) Merten Comes Back to Blizzard and all of a sudden that Leak reappears? Quite suspicious. So i call it to be a Troll. Especially since this "Leak" comes from 4chan. 😂 They're already struggling with their Reputation, so with those decisions (especially Point 1-3), they would propably damage their Reputation even further.
I doubt that it would happen because it would be kind of disrespectful to the teams that worked on WOW. But i hope it is true. While outland was a very interesting area and lore, the flying mounts also were game breaking imo. Giving both factions access to paladins and shamans took away the asymmetry that made the game feel mystical. But the biggest thing i want is for there to not be anymore cutscenes. Cutscenes do not belong in MMO at all.
The hyjal in classic is closer to the CoT hyjal. Had 1 or 2 raid portals i think. If inwas to guess, they planned an a playable zone as well as a raid. If this haplens id gladly go back to play this version of classic as its new and that would definitely make it worth checking out🎉
Awakening makes a lot of sense. Arthas could "awake" and start the invasion, or we will have to "awake" the druids in the emerald dream for some save the world stuff.
I wouldn't put any stock in the name, the name's leak is almost certainly fake, as it's been the same supposed leak that's been going around for 4 years now since 2019.
I remember that the biggeest problem of adding new races is to fit every equipable item to the new race's skeleton. That's why blizzard was much timid adding new races and is already adding subraces etc by using the skeletons of other races. (nightborne uses night elf skeleton, vulpera uses goblin skeleton, etc) So adding Ogres as playable charactera seems a bit far fetched as their skeletons and animations are not compatible and require lots of work. Maybe the leak points out another race?
They made tauren. If they want to do the work engineering the ogres, they can. Dont make excuses for this company. We all know they could do it if they would spend the time and money on it. (Which they should have 1000x over by now) Plus the work could be used in classic and retail.
@@hobosnake1 why did you think I make excuses for them? This is their excuse, not mine. Therefore it seems unlikely that this company would spend resources on a project like this. Fans have talked about this for years and they would've brought playable ogres if they wanted to. It seems they don't wanna do it. I'm merely stating the facts. Don't get mad.
You know what? Despite all these expansion leaks coming out, the thing I'm the most excited about is the news that Bobby Kotick will be stepping down. Without that toxic workplace of his, there's actually a chance that this company can turn itself, and the warcraft franchise, around. Metzen's back too. Could this finally be Blizzard's redemption arc?
I personally don't think having a new level cap should be the goto... like Guild wars 2 this needs to be a horizontal progression, where you get better loot new stories and lore and content. But hey...
They have material for Classic+ in Cataclism...Twilight Highlands, Hyjal, Gilneas, Deepholm, Uldum and various instances and raids which could be tweaked to suits Classis lore, aesthetics and mechanics... And changing graphics to retail disney like abomination would be bad idea, it is visualy different game completely.

If the Classic Expansion is about the Druids trapped in their slumber in the Emerald Dream waking up then Awakening would make a lot of sense.
How would that make raids any less obselete though? There will be no reason for anyone to repeat MC/BWL/AQ if there are raids that outgear Naxx
@@JT-mt6kui think he is thinking along the lines of new gear being equal or sidegrades to what is currently in classic.
I hope this is true.
I haven’t truly been into WoW since Mists.
I'd rather them not touch classic if that's the case which... I fear is the case.
If wow token comes to classic im instantly out forever
@@mariusg_music True
Also spread the word that this years Blizzcon will be FREE to stream and that has been confirmed.
personally i love the old vibe. The new graphics are good but they have a very different vibe. The old graphics still feel like 3rd person wc3
I think High Elves became Blood Elves in Warcraft 3 when Arthas invaded their city and ruined the Sunwell. They were Blood Elves before WoW began
The high elves are blood elves but they joined the alliance
High elves joining the Alliance makes more sense than them joining the Horde.
Or wild gods
There could be an Illidan raid located in Felwood, which transfer us in the past in the War of the Ancients
Arthas deathknigh raid where we go back in time and see how he purged Lordearon.
Medivh raid not in Karazhan, maybe somehwere else. Where we have to find corrupted Medivh.
Avatar of Sargeras raid where you fight nexto Aegwynn herself.
Dalaran raid.
Titan raid.
Gilneas City raid or city where you discover the corruption of the worgen curse
Ruins of Arathor raid.
(probably the hardest one)
New tier sets
Add achivements
Add more reputation factions.
Remove op passive racials and add active better racials.
The raid are all lore basedm so there's no reason why they can't use 'em. Zones and cities are already established.
I could write a list for days, but half of these, even quarter of these would happen people would be happy.
This is the direction I wish happened instead of BC... I started playing in BC but I never liked that expansion and the fact that it led to what ppl come to hate
Also, I wish they use updated models / graphics / animations. I dont understand this "it has to look old for it to feel like it use to" bs. What made classic fun was the pacing. The graphics could be updated without ruining that feel
They need to call classic + World of warcraft 2 with a whole new engine and updated graphics
I would celebrate it extremely if they would record the quest texts by voice actors for classic+. Just like in TESO and SWTOR.
(Was 25 back then)
Classic + will be the time rift where Horde and Alliance never stop fight so we know how it will end. :D
And Horde can be the bad guys again.
Worgen > high elves. Gives the alli a tough looking option and they can write in the whole worgen story that has already been done.
Keep paladins alliance and shamans for horde high elf paladins for the sissy boys and finally give us horde chads our ogres!
I think instead of leveling to 70, I'd rather them release classic, go through it phased out like the re release we had. Just have the new content phased after Naxx. Doesnt have to take as long as it did the first time. I think adding more levels to classic already detracts from the idea of "+"
YES! Highelves! No B elves joining the horde bullshit.
That classic+ sounds really really tasty. My only wish is I could set the graphics to high res.
No. The old graphics/art style is so much better.
The new graphics are lame. And the retail character models are all awful.
@@sashawright1545 thanks for the info. Might give it a shot then.
@@jt5765 I'll keep that in mind. :o
I think it would be cool if they made a "what if..." offshoot. Maybe not change the story line all together, but alter it so that outcome of something deviating happened.
Off-topic: Zuldazar audio in the intro is one of the best tracks in WOW's history
Having two parallel continuities seems like a very bad idea to me.
Same… shit is getting annoying
No it isn't
Classic+ makes no sense they can then better let these devs remake a zone every patch from kalimdor or eastern kingdom for the modern version.
Yeah right… they can just start optimising the old content instead of creating an abomination thata gonna put an end to wow.. and they literally started doing some hot shit this year….
And for what reason? What do we do in these zones ?
I wonder if the Cinematics were a prelude to their entire project they've been working on behind the scenes, undead fire mages/warlocks would have fun dynamic gameplay.
Playable high elves, what all 30 of them? 90% of the entire high elf population was wiped out and the vast majority of the survivors became blood elves. No point going back to classic and resetting the disregard for lore and atmosphere if the first thing you do is immediately disregard the lore again.
Just give some quality of life to vanilla, new modern models and customisation. Better thought through leveling and better respawn rates.
Retcon Activision lore
The way he said PLAGlands hit my ears like nails on a chalk board
Since zandalar was on the old map albeit smaller it could be a vocal point for an invasion on zandalar, the island itself could be its own zone/ raid given its mere size which we sail to. If cataclysm didn't happen in this timeline then the island could already be sinking anyways so the oldest troll empire might attempt a rise to power by connecting with all the troll factions from the old world & we deal with pre existing troll characters/ loa tied to the classic era/ older lore 🤔
Point of order: Ogres have been part of the Horde since Warcraft 2.
Honestly, blizzard has dabbled in time travel already, so it wouldn't be hard doing something like the dragons that mess with timelines going back in time and preventing some major event from happening (like the dark portal opening) and changing everything altogether, y'know?
World of Warcraft reforged would be a great name
😂😂😂
So Blizzard is looking to correct its mistake that was BC fingers crossed that's the case Elves should never have been with the Horde biggest fucking mistake.
Elves allying with trolls makes overly no sense.
@@jamesfoster7854 Exactly! Finally someone gets it!
Yeah it would do the same as BC did, kill the old world. And with just 2 new zones.
I just hope they will finally upgrade the engine, cause classic wow era assets were the thing, back in the days (and trust me, i loved every of his polygon) but damn it was almost 20 years ago dude
this video aged like fox 'news'
But when you start playing, the run and casting animations are so awkward looking
i think we should get a new character: mozondur - a light-corrupted nozdormu, accompanied by mecha-chromie - as a way of exploring these "what-ifs"
I really, really hope the level cap isn't being increased to 70 if they do a classic+
pretty sure it wont happen... coz is classic... lol...they will not change for one reason only... coz it will lose a lot players from patch 11.0 above, simple as that... if thats gonna happen it will be on future retail
Imagine now that Metzen is back his reaction was: "Good lord, i left the wrong journal behind! This is the correct one!! Buuut we kinda have to start some of it over to make it work. Soz gg"
this sounds good on paper, but ultimately would just result in bliz having 2 games suffering from lack of focus. classic+ is good for private servers, but you can't capture that magic if you were the ones who created the material to start. this would just be another expansion, save it for retail and make cata classic. lol
Having slightly different elves for the opposite faction would have not looked like a thing that would have happened once, but then they released slightly different looking Draenei and Orcs as their own races, so
No... No elves at all on the Horde... They are an Allies race and should gtfo of Ogrimmar
Facts @@easygrin1127
WoW Retail, WoW Classic, WoW HC, Season of Mastery, WoW Classic+
It's getting to be too much.
I really hope this leak is true, I have been wanting to play Ogres since WOW launched.
Just FYI if the Ogres join the Horde there would be no Horde Palis and if the Highelves join the Alliance there would be no Alliance shaman.
You could make the Forsaken paladins as well as the trolls
There'd be no naaru too so the Light could stay mysterious aside from the loa and troll shenanigans
I’d rather just keep level cap at 60
Same!
wish I looked like this ripped Srbian gigachad
I can't be the only person doesn't believe that blizzard can make a good version of classic+. Its sad because I want to believe, but I can't.
Here's a question: could RPG sources also influence this new WoW? Could they have an impact in which they barely ever had in the original?
I just wish wow did something with the world it created... they started the phases but never leaned into it. Like if I'm working on repairing the wall of some town I wanna see a wall be built. Make the world feel like you've actually had an influence on it. Not just the next raiding Simulation
The real question if true, will it be on a fresh server? Or will people just carry over from era?
Tbh in my opinion they should keep classic classic and focus just on the new wow, it would make no sense at all to make new content for classic because classic is there to play old content and not new stuff we never saw before, if people want to play new content they should play current wow not classic??
I think this Classic+ Leak ist highly unlikely to Happen for a couple of reasons:
1.) They would have to Support 5 Versions of WoW (Retail, Cata Classic [which has been datamined], Classic Hardcore, Classic Era and on top of that Classic+?
They're already struggling with their Reputation, so with those decisions (especially Point 1-3), they would propably damage their Reputation even further.
(nightborne uses night elf skeleton, vulpera uses goblin skeleton, etc)
So adding Ogres as playable charactera seems a bit far fetched as their skeletons and animations are not compatible and require lots of work. Maybe the leak points out another race?
They made tauren. If they want to do the work engineering the ogres, they can. Dont make excuses for this company. We all know they could do it if they would spend the time and money on it. (Which they should have 1000x over by now)
Plus the work could be used in classic and retail.
Please let me play an ogre and make a pvp video to the tune of All Star
The awakening name could be a place holder while they work on it.
